They carry the latest cottons from Moda and yardage as well as pre-cuts of all shapes/sizes. An excellent selection of plaid shirting fabrics as well, at only $6 per yard. Pricing is about what you'd expect for the top of the line quilting fabrics. But they do carry some good bargains as well. Make sure to check out the remnant bins. The upholstery and decorating fabrics aren't the latest, but some of us aren't really into the gray and pastel with black scene. Farmhouse and French decor is becoming tired, anyway. The prices are excellent. Masks are required while in the store. The staff isn't overly friendly, but not rude, either. I was waited on promptly and efficiently, even though I interrupted a major gossip session.

Sweet little fabric store in downtown Cynthiana! It's a small store, and doesn't have everything that would you find at JoAnn Fabrics or something like that, but if you're not asking for much and wanting to support a local business, there's no other place to go but here. The store has plenty of different fabrics to choose from, including scrap squares for sale. I also noted a wall of yarn and a decent selection of fleece. I came in here just to look and ended up leaving with a few yards of fleece after finding the perfect pattern for a blanket I wanted to make. The price per yard of fleece was about the same, perhaps a dollar or two more than big box chain stores. I didn't mind. And the best part? I live so close to this store that I can walk here. Uh oh. Dangerous for my wallet. Also, to enter Tay's Cloth Peddler, you actually have to go through Van Hook Hardware first and enter through the side door between the two businesses. I think they're both owned by the same people. The woman that assisted me with fabrics was the same woman that assisted me in the hardware store awhile back.

I ended up getting a turned wooden miniature rolling pin for use while traveling. He then was offended I would use it actually for cooking, And proceeded to call me a glutton because I'm not slim like my friend. Wow! We were both taken aback ...Amazing ! I'm still offended. I'm overweight but really, it was out of the blue, uncalled for and highly offensive.

Their prices are really reasonable, too! I love supporting a non-profit organization like this dedicated to support Kentucky artisans. I do most of my gift buying there.
