Syracuse is very organized, well stocked, with plenty of variety from newborn up. Prices are very reasonable and they have special price days for specific items. There are plenty of friendly, helpful staff to assist in locating what you are looking for. Lightly used clothing, shoes, accessories, toys, and more. I still shop here and ship to them. Each time, my experience…read morewas not that great because of poor customer service - there were four or five people working behind or near the counter, and none of them greeted or acknowledged me and carried on with their personal conversations amongst each other or ignored me to continue sorting through clothing and such. As a seller, I left with what I can only describe as a bad feeling. I brought in six bags full of clothing and a pack n play. After a few hours, I was alerted that they were ready to settle up. When I returned to the store, one of the workers brought out a bin with a small stack of my clothing and told me their offer. This person then explained why they weren't taking more of my items, but it seemed as if they were reading from a script and I felt like I was being lectured to because of the tone that was used. The pack n play was taken out of its bag and not packed back up properly. I should add that I went to the store with my baby in a stroller. I struggled to grab all 6 bags, the pack n play, and wheel the stroller out of the store and all the employees just watched me. No one even offered to open the door for me.

They have my preferred needles- the super speedy stainless steel ChiaoGoo circulars, in just about every imaginable size and cable length. They carry lots of quality yarn, host trunk shows for artisans, and have local made products for sale- such as the bright pink skull stitch marker I picked up when I was last there. The shop itself is beautiful- bright with natural light, spacious, modern, and comfortable. The work they have on display makes me want to become a better knitter. I hope to take one of their numerous classes in the future. Knitty Gritty is very responsive on social media and their website is as great as their physical space is. My Bernette B79 arrived and I couldn't have been more thrilled until I couldn't get it to function properly no matter what I did. I couldn't take it to the dealer from where I purchased the machine because they were 3,000 miles away; they weren't helpful on the phone, telling me to purchase new bobbins and they didn't respond to email. I phoned Jon's which is 2+ hours away from our home and scheduled a service appointment In a short time, Jon adjusted the timing, which apparently had never been adjusted when it left the vendor, and voila it works! Jon's is a beautiful store and if ever in the market for a new machine or supplies related to my current machine, I would definitely make the trip to purchase the machine from him.
