We both got our usual (her, cotton candy, and original tart for me). We then headed to her fourth grade open house two hours later and I had food poisoning!!! It was Gastro-I was sick from 7:30 pm until 4:30 am this morning and had to sleep on the bathroom floor, after I dehydrated and fainted - with constant throwing up and continually sitting on the toilet for over 9 hours!!!! The stomach cramps were out of this world... It was the worst night of my life and will not be going back ever! (And also calling the health department today to file a complaint). I should've known better when the yogurt was so runny and the very nice employee with the long, dark brown hair told me she had to "reset the machine and I had to wait 5 minutes, and they have been having issues with that machine.) It was dirty with watery yogurt sitting in the grill underneath and not cleaned up, but I assumed someone tried to serve themselves and made a mess.... I won't be back and am very disappointed that I will be spending the day in bed today, this weak! This experience was horrendous!

The yogurt flavors were varied and the product was smooth/creamy. Full disclosure-I had visited another sweet frog years ago and didn't think it was good at all. This spot has changed my mind. Everything was clean and staff was friendly. I'd go back if I had a froyo hankering for sure.

Our travels took us to The Groggy Frog and we were thrilled we took the hour drive in the snow. Service: Prompt, Authentic, Laid Back - no corporate pieces of flare (thank goodness). Atmosphere: you had me at hello. Dive bar, watering hole, where everyone goes vibe. Small. Unique. They definitely do not make them like this anymore. Great music and bar noise. Rustic wood. High tops all around. Fantastic. The wings: so far the best hidden gem we have found. Way better than others in Southington I have previously visited and reviewed. Tons of flavors. They also offer wings in 5's, so, if you're like us and want to try a few sauces - you're in a great position until you find your go-to's. We ordered: hot buffalo, buffalo blue, chipotle honey horseradish, teriyaki wasabi, and an order of their fried shrimp tossed in hot buffalo. All hot, crispy, excellent. While all the sauces were good, the hot buffalo and chipotle honey horseradish make the cut for our next visit. We can't wait to be back and try 3-4 other sauces with the 2 we've fallen in love with. Note: I love the blue cheese dressing at places as much as the wings. I have noticed the wing places in Southington serve a thicker (almost spreadable) homemade blue cheese. It was excellent. But because of its thickness, we went through a lot. And, as you may read in my other reviews, I hate the 2oz soufflé cups in a wing place. 4oz minimum please. Only thing I've learned to do better next time - ask for tons of extra napkins. I prefer when they're either stored on the table, or better, have paper towel rolls on the tables at the elite wing joints.

All of the flavors of wings we had were delicious & unique. Definitely try the capn' crunch wings…read morew/ fluff! They have a great draft list & other great options for food on the menu. Staff is very helpful & there's plenty of space to find a seat and hang out and listen to a band or karaoke.

The owner (as he announced himself) is, on every third Thursday of each alternate month, a nice-enough-fellow full of the love of books. But every other day at the store, he cements his love of books at the cost of a passing indifference for his customers that borders on hostility. While the book selection is as comprehensive as it is well-organized, something about the place seems... well... 'off.' It's as though one is being watched--or rather scrutinized--by unseen eyes, suspicious you may be replacing a book in the wrong place, disturbing the piles of rarities without regard to how the newly imbalanced feng-shui will impact the owner as he lingers scowling from the sequestered bowls of the shop. The books are, nevertheless, excellent and priced clearly in the "almost-too-expensive-but-still-just-affordable" range. Comparatively, the prices here are fair to good. You will not be finding any shocking bargains or hidden but neglected treasures here. The books are carefully selected, after all, and intended to turn a profit for the owner. After all, buying low and selling high is the name of the game--and yet, listening in on the owner's bargaining with one collector attempting to sell her books, I'd say there are fairer prices to be had from other buyers. But after exhaustive talks ranging from condition to author popularity (when has it been hard to sell Orwell?), she settled on a price with our peculiar host all the same. It was, in a word, creepy. Upon leaving with my new acquisitions, I was reminded of John Locke's description of this weird trade which combines refined erudition with predatory avarice: "Printers, binders, sellers, and others that make a trade and gain out of them have universally so odd a turn and corruption of mind, that they have a way of dealing peculiar to themselves, and not conformed to the good of society, and that general fairness that cements mankind." True enough of this odd little place, I thought. And then I went home, placed the books on my desk, and retired to take a nice long shower.
