One of my favorite stores In. The. World. Crystal assortment is absolutely amazing and always high quality with a range of prices. I have never walked in and not been wowed by various sized crystals. They also always have new crystals and change the displays which brings amazing energy in. The small crystal bins are fabulous and their jewelry is absolutely beautiful. I have literally been shopping here my entire life and it's one of my favorite stores forever and now my children all are obsessed with it too! Must visit. read more

It IS all about the essence in this shop. My daughter and her partner stopped in while visiting the area.I was delighted by all the different crystals and sound bowls, the books and stationery. If you love reading, crystals or want to be mesmerized, and have a moment of zen, spend time in this shop. I bought a new journal and a hematite ring which is exactly what I needed! This shop will be a forever spot for me in this lovely town in Great Barrington, much love to the kind attendant who made my visit the merrier. With love form Brooklyn. read more

More of a bookstore than anything else. The prices on the crystals are obnoxious. Certainly not my cup of tea.

This was my second time shopping at Crystal Essence and it has quickly become my absolute favorite shop in all of GB and the Berkshires. The staff treat you like you're their only customer. I asked the kind woman for help finding a stone for a very specific issue. She went out of her way to not only show me a bunch of stones but to do some further research for me. She found me the most incredible ring that fit me to perfection. If you want a beautiful experience where you'll feel loved and cared about by absolute strangers, you have to go to Crystal Essence. Your confidence in humanity will be restored when you meet their wonderful staff. read more

Waiting for our table to be ready at a local restaurant we wondered around the neighborhood. Soon as me and my family walked into Crystal Essence we were greeted with a warm welcome and some sanitizer spray, which I really like. I wanted EVERYTHING in the store but decided to focus more on my daughter. We found so many beautiful gems. My husband got a handmade doll from Thailand, rose quart stone and cage for my daughter. I got my daughter a meditation book for kids, since I'm staring to home school her this year it was perfect for one of our lesson plans. My mother in law found a book to help her "Start to let go". Also some elegant earrings. They were nice enough to let my toddler daughter use their private restroom. Next time I visit Great Barrington M.A. I will definitely be back. read more

This is not your average little crystals shop. They have beautiful jewelry, home items, a nice range of books, cards and lovely employees. I found a great moldavite pendant and an Azurite-Malachite pendant. Both under $70 each. The woman that helped me was just lovely and had a welcoming vibe to her. I could have stayed there all day. I will definitely go back the next time I'm am out that way. read more

I've been coming to Crystal Essence for well over a decade and it's always been a positive experience. They carry an excellent selection of gemstones and minerals; it's a must-visit spot if you're into crystal healing, are a rock hound, or just *really* love off-beat jewelry with naturally beautiful gems. read more

Love this place! I have been here numerous times in the past on summer day trips when my boys were little, and loved letting them put together a little bag of rocks and crystals for their collections each time. Some old friends and I were in the area this weekend, so we popped in after dinner while window shopping on Railroad St. The shop is filled with a lovely collection of crystals and rocks of many sizes, so there is something for everyone from serious collectors down to people like myself who are just dabbling. I got 3 lovely small pieces for a very reasonable price--Rose Quartz, amethyst, and citrine. They also have a great selection of tarot cards, books, incense, and jewelry. It's light and bright in the shop, and the salespeople are warm and welcoming. They gave info about classes and events, and were so lovely that I may attend something, even though I live an hour and a half away. My friends and I literally felt better walking out of the shop because it's such a positive place, so we even popped back in at the end of the weekend before driving home. If you're into anything metaphysical, it's a can't miss on your trip to the Berkshires. read more

I have been going to this store since it was opened in the early 80s. It used to be a small shop on an upper floor with primarily crystals, and rocks. It has always been cool! The current location is fun, colorful, and very uplifting. I would recommend this store to everyone looking for a special gift, or to just browse and see what speaks to your spirit. This store is transformative!!!! read more

not even a 1 star. this store is meant to be a place where one might find tools to use for healing or to facilitate balance and harmony in their life or as a gift to another. I have learned over the years that when you make a purchase you bring home energy from the place you purchase from....even a book or gift card...there is a choice you make in this purchase that is like an agreement where you agree to open your home to this object that carries the vibrations of the original keeper.... this store is so full of negative energy. One of the owners adrian is the most greedy business owner i have ever met. they are over priced but thats not why i say this... nothing about this store is created to help make the customer more happy or even healthy even if they look like it...its a lie they lie to themselves they are dishonest and actually resent customers.. they dont care if your merchandise breaks, or doesn't work, or has flaws. i was working at a healing center in the area for a few months and during that time i went into the store to see if i could find tools for my healing practice...the tools i found were lessons...after a few hundred dollars..a few things i bought were defective, one was a flute.....it cracked the day i brought it home...wasnt dropped or squashed it just cracked...i tried to go to the store to return for a new one and they said that i would have to go through the vendor? i then had to drive to the vendors house to get my money back..then again a crystal i bought and paid 70.00 for had many other stones attached to it...one of the stones fell out with int he first week of having it....there was no apology and no assistance in recovering my losses....in fact adrian yelled at me on the phone. they do not take responsibility for the dysfunction they sell....and when you take dysfunction home with you it will start like weeds choking out everything else and resonating the vibration of dysfunction...what comes to mind is that light fills darkness the coexist but only as the light takes over....i feel if you have a bright light and you are full of positive energy you risk the detriment of health and mind body spirit happiness when you incept stones or food or other things that are tainted with greed and discontent...i charged the stone and the flute ....i cleansed them...but the negativity was so thick it broke as a form of release....i have other stones and flutes and charging them and creating relationship with them has been beautiful but they are a by product of the maker and the seller....even if charge them they still hold a magnetic field from the agreements and choices and attitudes of everyone whos contacted the object or stone...this is why harvesting in the mountains for ourselves....is really ideal. then it truly has only your and the earths vibration. so with this said if you want a lesson in disgruntled business ownership and lousy attitudes, stuck up personalities, rude sabotage, jealousy and hate all as an extension of their relationship with themselves....then by all means karma is as karma does.... its like harry potter....if you have any negativity in you ....you open yourself to negativity....it will find you....they cling to discontent and resentment....this is written to inform and offer caution.....they are vampires and will suck your life force out if you shop there.....but they will show you where you are harboring the same...ahhh lessons... read more
