My wife and I spent the evening in Boerne and made a trip to Fredericksburg to get our wine shipment from another vineyard. We decided to try something new this time around. We were kind of concerned as it is in the opposite direction of all the other places. Upon arrival we were greeted by the host in the outside foyer and taken to our table ( they take reservations but we did not have one). We were sat and promptly greeted by our server. She explained the options for tasting to us and informed us that there was a food truck onsite as well. We opted to do the red wine tasting . The tasting started with a Grenache ( full bodied, very fruity but not sweet) the grapes really shine, next was the Sangiovese which was even better. We went through a series of 5 wines that all were made with exceptional care as none were left to waste. My favorite was the 1 Sangiovese, 2 Grenache, 3 Tempranillo. We also purchased a pizza from the food truck onsite. It was a margarita pizza ( large enough for two to share as a medium snack). If your hungry you made need more. They have more than pizza as well. We bought a bottle of Sangiovese and will definitely return. Excellent live performer and extraordinary service !! read more

I was in the area picking up a wine shipment from another establishment and when planning my next stop I was lead to Michael Ros. With the Valentine's holiday it looked a little busy but the hostess got us seated right away. Laurie conducted our tasting and we was extremely welcoming and knowledgeable. We did the red tasting. All of the wines were delicious. My favorite was the Grenache. Followed by the Sangiovese which was a strong second. It paired excellently with the pizza. read more

We came out based on a family member's suggestion. The winery is very clean and modern. Having grown up in California, I prefer California red wines. We did the wine tasting, and I chose the reds. There were some which I would normally not drink, but the wine expert explained each sampling and I was mildly surprised at how good each pour was. My favorite was the 2020 Tempranillo. The only negative was the lack of customer service from the pizza trailer. That was taken care of through a different review. Bonus shout out to how clean the bathroom was! read more

THE BIG: Beautiful tasting room resembling an urban playground. Built right into the hill in a semi circle format with plenty of indoor and outdoor (even a 2nd floor patio) seating. Private parking lot available. THE BLACK AND WHITE: I came here with the wife on a low-key Sunday afternoon and man, this is a beautiful space. Bathrooms are outside of the main tasting room space. We got the mixed tasting that included 2 whites (picpoul, viognier), 1 rose (sangiovese), and 2 reds (tempranillo, malbec). I wasn't too impressed with the reds but the whites and especially the picpoul was great. Nice nose and I as wanting more. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Overall the damage done for a wine tasting (white or mixed) is $30. Excited to come back later and see what their new winemaker does with their fruit. read more

Beautiful space. I love how they incorporated the shape of the natural terrain into the design of their building. Beautiful hand crafted wood tables. Earthy but modern vibes in the tasting room decor. They've only been open two weeks and I have to say I was really impressed. They're a little off the beaten path of 290, but it's worth the five minute detour. They have a limited wine selection which is understandable since they just opened but what they did have available was very approachable with a soft finish. I actually appreciate wineries that are selective and limited in their options. It tells me they are trying to focus on quality and not quantity. I highly recommend checking them out! If you like live music their outdoor space is set up two stories amphitheater style - once the weather cools down to under 1000° degrees it'll be a lovely spot to enjoy a glass of wine. read more

Absolutely gorgeous new tasting room near Fredericksburg. Building has an upper patio level with outdoor tables for nice weather. Inside tasting room, on the lower level, features tables hand-crafted from pecan trees that were felled during maintenance of a neglected orchard. Decor is immaculate, including sitting areas that look like they belong in a designer furniture showroom. Knowledgeable and friendly service. There's a food truck outside - or you can order from your table. Their vision is to make wine using only grapes from their own vineyards. They've planted acres of grapes around the property that aren't yet producing fruit. Their winemaking future looks bright, but I wasn't wild about the current offerings. Viogner tasted a bit flat and lacked brightness and crispness. Rosé was straw-colored and also somewhat dull. Reds, probably their best wines, are solid but not spectacular. But that's just me - pop in and try for yourself! Tastings are $30. read more

Very pleasant wine tasting. Should be added to your list if you're looking for a boutique family Vineyard. We have several wine clubs in the hill country and this vineyard is worth a shot. Texas grown grapes which I try to support. Great white's and very nice young reds this should be on your list to try. read more

A winery to watch! This was our second time here - actually joined the club this time so we can keep an eye on this winery. The wines are impressive and I suspect they will only get better with time. They had a food truck on site doing pizza - which was an unexpected perk. We had a lovely tasting guide Dianne who was very knowledgeable about the wines and the winery. Watch that if you buy bottles along with your tasting there is a tipping suggestion that includes the bottles you are buying. read more

What an absolutely fabulous new Texas winery! The grounds and facility are beautiful and picturesque. The owner personally made all of the pecan tables himself from fallen trees on the property. I like it that the location is just a short minute from the hectic 290 corridor so there's no road noise. The staff is very welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable and clearly enjoy sharing their passion for wine. BUT most importantly, I have to say the wines are amazing! My personal faves are the Tempranillo and the roussane. They're outstanding! This is a must visit if you like great wine and a great atmosphere. read more
