Towed my car to this business on Nov. 12, 2021. At that time I was promised a "hard appointment" on Tuesday, Nov. 16. At 4 pm on Tuesday, I had not heard from the company. I called and was told I needed a hard-to-find part, but the owner's wife was looking for the part and would call me. Wednesday came and went and no call. Thursday I called at 10:30 am and was told the owner would call me right back. Two hours later I asked my parents who were having lunch across the street to check-in. They were told the part was hard to find but they are working on it. Also, my parents ( not me) were informed that the owner would be closing at 5 that day and would not be back until Nov. 29. My parents were promised I would get a call from the company soon. I called at 4 pm and the owner told me the part was hard to find. Having heard this story, I then asked him for the name of the part and googled it. I then told him that the part was available through Auto Zone, Amazon, O'Reilly's, Advanced Auto, and a whole list of places. I also told him they were in stock. He then got angry and told me I could get my car. I then told him that I had had it towed. Then he said, " Well, get it towed!" I told him I just wanted my car fixed. At 4:30 he called to tell me that the part was in ( amazing!) I told him that I had heard he was going on vacation and he confirmed that he would not be back until the 29. On the 29th, I called at 10 am to see if my car was fixed. He angrily told me that if people would stop interrupting him he would get it done. On Tuesday, November 30 I received a call from them around 10:00 am telling me my car was done and the price was 425. I then returned the rental and on my way up to Crystal River, I received another call from them telling me the cost was really 825. This company had my car for 28 days, did not tell me that they were going on vacation, lied to me about a part that was available, was rude to me, only called me when they wanted money, and didn't even take off any labor charges! I had told the owner on the 11 of Nov. that I am a minister and had a parishioner in hospice and that I needed the car ASAP. I was forced to rent a car for 800. because I can't go without a car for that long. The honest thing for Michael to do would have been to tell me upfront that he was going away on vacation, call me with updates, admit that he didn't have time to fix my car, and give me a discount for making me wait 28 days for my car. I want everyone to understand that my car wasn't in need of a new transmission or engine. It needed the part that holds the fuel filter in. According to the places I "googled" the cost was 79.00 for the part. But I was charged a whole lot more than that, plus labor! As a single mother of three and an ordained minister, I don't have a lot of money or time. This business lied to me, held vital information from me, didn't make any attempt to right their wrongs, and was downright rude. Michael, you need to learn some serious customer service skills and take a class on business ethics! read more
