I wrote the below review for my experience with the company as a whole, and am posting it at all…read moreBaltimore locations (where I was looking at the time and where this entire experience took place) In September of 2021, I was looking for a psychiatrist. I was able to find this office, but the soonest they could see me was early November. I had been advised that psychiatrists were in high demand at the time (Covid and seasonal depression), so I decided to stick it out, especially since I was in need of a psychiatric evaluation for short term disability as well as starting new medications as recommended by my therapist. When I finally got seen, the psychiatrist said that the office did not fill out forms and he was also leaving the country for Africa for 6 months, but he was able to perform the intake and pass along his notes to another psychiatrist so I wouldn't have to start all over. I agreed and we did the intake; standard name/number/insurance/why are you here stuff. He then said he'd pass along his notes and the office would be in touch within 10 days. After 2 weeks went past without a word, I called the office to follow up, only to hear that the notes were not passed along and there was no psychiatrist in line for me and that I'd have to start all over again. I was upset because that 2+ months of waiting for care had then been for naught and I'd have to start all over again. I then told them to cancel my membership and I'd find another psychiatrist. They then had the audacity to bill me for a full session, $320, because "your assigned psychiatrist did actually see you still". I refused to pay and nothing happened until AUGUST of 2022, when they sent a message that they were going to automatically bill my card on file until the bill was paid. At that point, I called their office to contest, and I was told that it was an acceptable argument but they'd have to "escalate it to their billing manager" and would follow up. There was no follow up. I called EVERY WEEK and I would get a new agent, but every time the new agent would say "hmm, all I see in your file is that your psychiatrist did see you, but nothing saying that this needs to be escalated." This week, I gave them 1 more call and I got another new agent. I brought them up to speed and they gave me the same feedback, at which point I said "give me your name for future reference and while I'm on the phone, put down in my file that this needs to be escalated with the aforementioned details." They said they did and they would follow up within 1-2 business days. There was no follow up. I called them at 4pm during the week and I would assume they knew my number at this point because the operator said "no one is in the office, but I can send you to their voicemail." I left them the most scathing message restating everything about the past year again, and then about medical malpractice and how I was going to get a lawyer involved and it would be a homerun with the kind of treatment I was given. Within 24 hours, they called me back! And they said that their "billing manager would be able to cut your bill in half but that's the best they can do. We already billed you $150, so we'll just take another $10." At this point, I was so done with this company, I just surrendered and said yes. But so help me if they're going to try and get another client after this.
