From the owner: About Our Practice…read more  Reese Orthodontics is a family-owned practice serving the west suburbs of Minneapolis for over fifty years. What sets us apart is our deep and lasting relationships. Karen Reese, DDS, MS, is an orthodontic specialist who continues to serve our "family" of patients that have long trusted Reese Orthodontics with their dental needs. Dr. Reese is a specialist in orthodontics who goes the distance for all her patients in both practice locations in Chanhassen and New Hope, Minnesota.  Her original degree was a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. She worked as a pharmacist full time for five years before pursuing her dental degree. Immediately following dental school, Dr. Reese was accepted to the orthodontic residency at the University of Minnesota. She completed her specialty certification in 1998 and her Master's Degree in Dentistry in 1999. Committed to education, Dr. Reese continues her studies in innovations in her field. Because of our focus on innovation, our practice has been a practice of "firsts" in the state of Minnesota. We were the first office in the state of Minnesota to offer self- ligating brackets, the first to offer the Herbst appliance for growth modification, the first office to offer lingual (behind the teeth) braces, first to provide combined orthodontics with Wilckodontic therapy providing fast yet stable tooth movement.  Dr...

They were very reasonably priced, unlike another guy I had a consultation with that wanted twice as much. Dr. Reese is a lovely lady, and the staff are all extremely pleasant, and my appointments are honestly as good as you can get while having someone shift your teeth around like God did not intend. Honestly my favorite thing about this place is it's down to earth. The place I went before hired staff clearly based on appearance and not skill, and I had a lot of issues with brackets falling off and being caused pain in the chair. I don't need a model adjusting my braces, or a massage chair to sit in while I wait, or Starbucks, etc. I just want someone to straighten my teeth and not be a jerk. And so far, so good. When I get them off in a few weeks, I will update.

The frustration of needing an appointment changed and having a 2-3 week wait to reschedule is unacceptable. There is little to no flexibility in her patient schedule. The time flew by and now I am looking forward to the many years ahead smiling :)! And did I mention that I know this place behind the scenes and you are in the best hands! The doctors here are committed and passionate and LOVE what they do! It is with absolute confidence that I refer my family and friends!

They had always seemed like a good dental practice. This location is very convenient for me. Lately…read morethough, they've been short-staffed. I made an appointment with my favorite hygienist only to show up and find out that they substituted someone else. This wasn't the first time this had happened. They had to bring in staff from their Chaska office to staff other positions, too. I hate being surprised like this. And I just read in the paper that they want to go public in order to raise money to open more offices. They can't even staff the ones they have now!! For my next cleaning appointment she had to book me for 9 months out - - not the normal 6 months. What the heck is going on with their management?!

What was promised as a journey to improve his smile has instead resulted in protruded front teeth buck teeth due to negligent care. - The treatment was primarily handled by assistants rather than the orthodontist . The doctor only made brief appearances at the end of sessions, showing no genuine concern for my son's progress. Despite paying for professional services, my son's teeth are now **visibly protruded**, which has affected his confidence. This is unacceptable after 1 year and 4 months of visits. When we raised concerns, Dr Lee dismissed them or gave vague explanations. There was no corrective plan offered. All my friends said it looks much worst than before the brace. We are going to a different orthodontist clinic for correction treatment

Very disappointing experience after being patients here for over six years. The dental care itself…read morewas always basic but functionally fine, but our most recent experience ended our relationship with the practice. I provided my new dental insurance card at check-in before any services were performed. The office proceeded with my cleaning and my daughter's cleaning and X-rays without verifying or informing me that they were out of network. Only after the services were completed and I had left did they call to tell me I was responsible for the full bill of more than $500. Had I been informed beforehand, I would not have proceeded. I contacted the office hoping for a reasonable resolution, but they offered no adjustment or solution. My advice: **Do not assume they have verified your insurance just because you provided your card. Ask them to specifically confirm they are in network before allowing any services to be performed.** Very disappointing way to end a six-year relationship with a dental office.
