I was blown away by how happily she sat through her first appointment at 18 months, opening her mouth and allowing Dr Tori to check and clean her teeth. It was such a pleasant experience for my daughter (and me) that she has never had any anxiety about going to the dentist, and in fact LOVES visiting Dr Tori and Jackie for her cleanings. We have been there three times now and each visit has been excellent. Our hygienist Jackie is patient and gentle with my daughter, allowing her to check out the equipment, lay down on the chair when she is ready, and help hold the tooth polisher. She engages my daughter with age appropriate conversation, smiling and chatting the entire way though. No aspect of the cleaning/check up has ever been forced on my daughter; it's never even been close! Jackie and Dr Tori use gentle tones, kind words, lots of engagement and a bit of distraction when needed in order to successfully complete the exam. Dr Tori always takes all the time needed to answer my questions after the exam as well. The waiting room is super kid friendly, with mounted iPads, a TV, a train table, and comfy chairs for the parents. In the back, there are TVs mounted to the ceiling with cartoons playing, and the kids have the option of wearing sunglasses if the light is too bright. The front desk staff are always welcoming and helpful. Overall, when it comes to a pediatric dental clinic, there is no place better than Tweet!
