SUPER GRATEFUL, to the kind staff to Dr.Hilton's assistant amazingly gentle and kind. TO DEAR Dr.Hilton- explanation of what he needs to to is doing and will follow up doing very clear. His demeanor is kind, gentle and really understands the pain I'm in. Eager to help me feel well , I have no words to describe how wonderful and gifted Dr. Hilton is. Go no where else - this office is essential to the success of our dear Eden Prairie!

In April, I cracked a back tooth and went to my dentist. She told me I needed a root canal and a…read morecrown, but because her office does not perform root canals, she referred me to an endodontics clinic. I called that clinic and scheduled an appointment for the next day, but later learned they did not accept my insurance and that the procedure would cost $2,000 out of pocket. I told them I would try to find another endodontist who accepted my insurance and would get back to them. I then called Metropolitan Endodontics and asked whether they accepted BCBS. I was told they did, but that I would need to pay the full $2,500 upfront and would be reimbursed after insurance paid them. Based on that information, I scheduled an appointment for a few days later and canceled my appointment with the first clinic. I had the procedure done at Metropolitan Endodontics, and they did a great job. I paid in full using the Cherry plan, which covered the full amount upfront with no interest for one year. I expected this would give me time to receive the insurance reimbursement and then pay my portion later. I was surprised when my insurance company sent me a notification stating that Metropolitan Endodontics was out of network and had paid only $251.74. When I called Metropolitan Endodontics, I was initially told that I had not been told they accepted my insurance and that my bill was already paid in full. I explained that Cherry had paid the bill because I was told full payment was required, and I reiterated that I had been told they accepted my insurance. The representative put me on hold to review the recorded call and then confirmed that I had been told they accepted my insurance. She said someone from accounting would call me back after speaking with my insurance company, but I never received a call. I tried calling again, reached voicemail, and still did not receive a response. At minimum, I believe they should have charged me the $2,000 that the first clinic would have charged for the same procedure. Don't bother doing business with a company that can't deal with you honestly up front. I would not have gone there had I known. They couldn't even treat me with respect and call me back. Cheryl C

I have to start this review by saying that I had the good fortune to not be here for me, but rather…read moremy husband. Hubbie had put off dealing with a painful tooth for over a year. Why? Idk. Occasionally I'd casually ask him when he was planning to make an appointment. Not nagging, just curiosity. It's his mouth and pain tolerance level, not mine. Every once and a while we'd be enjoying dinner on the couch watching a show and he'd do this sudden sharp inhale and I knew he'd hit his tooth again. He scheduled plenty of car maintenance appointments during the year plus that his tooth was hurting, but not a dentist appointment. Cis men. *shakes head* ANYWAY, I guess it finally got to a point where he could put it off no longer and he got a dental appointment and they told him- rather predictably after putting it off so long- that he required a root canal, and they referred him here. I've never been the lucky recipient of a root canal, so I wasn't sure if he was going to be okay to drive after the appointment. He was confident he would go straight to work afterwards. I wasn't so sure. I drove him to the location and he checked in; the front desk staff seemed friendly. They had free chapstick and squares of chocolate (Ghirardelli!), which I totally snagged a couple of, despite not being the patient, LOL. I found it funny they had chocolate there... maybe as a "Look what you'll get to enjoy again once your mouth is fixed..." Haha! We didn't have to wait long before his name was called and he went back. I didn't know how long the procedure would be, but I'd brought my journal and a book to pass the time. (Honestly, it was a bit annoying they didn't supply me/us a little more information ahead of time.) They also had an absolutely MASSIVE flatscreen in the lobby playing some version of Iron Chef (again with the food at the oral surgeon! Such cruelty... lol). The lobby itself was posh AF. Like, a little TOO nice, y'know? Like they must be making bank. This wasn't some family dentist office where they have the cute little corner with LEGOs and an old VHS player CRT TV for the kiddos. Oh well, aha. That said, my hubbie only shelled out $250 (after insurance- who knows how much the insurance paid) for the procedure, which he was grateful for. (Unfortunately, the temporary crown and custom crown were not so affordable, but that was at another separate office.) My hubbie seems to have also been one of the lucky ones with no adverse effects. He required only a couple doses of ibuprofen post-procedure and reported repeatedly and frequently how wonderful it was to not be in pain while eating anymore. XD Maybe next time he'll go in sooner... though honestly here's hoping for no "next time" at all!

Dealing with two different companies for any reason can be a frustrating experience however, the people Twin Cities Endodontics have been very helpful with my busy work schedule and exceptionally accommodating to my situation. I have to say that I have hated going to the dentist since I was a kid, but my experience with these guys has actually restored the appreciation, comfortability, trust that I was lacking. So with that said, I would recommend this place to anyone in need of dental work "root canal" especially, to give these guys a try.

Believe me, root canals aren't easy! Imagine snaking a .6mm clogged drain, upside down, looking through a mirror. Not to mention people are terrified of getting root canals, but the horror stories you hear are of the toothache that made you need one, not the actual procedure. Yes, we dentists are creepily noisy, it's hard holding your mouth open, etc, but the procedure was completely painless and afterwards, I had some nice hot coffee, and later some ice water, forgetting that I no longer had to contort my tongue to cover up my previously painful tooth! I smiled and said a silent thank you to Dr. Zucker and team!! Now I'm shouting it out on Yelp.
