Having been a patient of the Allergy Center for 3 years, I can say with certainty my life has…read moreimproved significantly and that's largely due to the excellent care I've received from Parita. I've struggled with asthma on and off for my entire life, but I've dealt with significant exacerbations beginning in 2015. Early on, I remember telling her (and the excellent nursing staff) that I can't remember the last time I'd felt at 100%, but I'm SO thankful to say that that is changing. Though my initial appointment back in 2016 was focused on symptom management (I was in the midst of a particularly bad asthma exacerbation), on EVERY appointment thereafter Parita has taken my overall health goals and habits into account to help me regain what asthma has taken away. I haven't had a significant exacerbation in over a year, and for the first time in a loooong time, I've been able to be physically active most days of the week in a way I hadn't been since before 2015. She's offered practical suggestions and has worked hard to ensure I get the medical attention I need, and has encouraged me to "take up space" in a way I've NEVER encountered by a medical professional. I moved to the Bay Area a year ago, but I continue to receive care at the Allergy Center because Parita's care, compassion, and knowledge is unmatched. Her medical care has seen me through grad school, a major move, job changes, my wedding, and insurance changes (I so appreciate her emphasis on continuity of care)! I always say this to my family members and loved ones, so now I'm going to make it Yelp official: I wish every medical provider was like Parita. Unlike many medical providers whose work emphasizes symptom management (probably due to the pressures they face from insurance companies), Parita prioritizes the trajectory of her patients' health and consistently checks on her patients and on her work. She's extremely informative and personalizes her approach to each patient's needs. She takes her patients' concerns and knowledge of their bodies seriously (this alone sets her apart); she LISTENS attentively to feedback and genuinely cares about her patients (& their families)! My mom (who has attended many of my appointments with me) has said on multiple occasions that Parita is an angel. I know my review may seem effusive but if you're lucky enough to receive care from Parita, you know it's true: she offers so much more than excellent medical care, she offers hope.

Dr. McCormick also knows about a heavy local Nevada County Cedar pollen that may impact me. Dr. McCormick eliminated my OTC antihistamine that I was taking that were raising my blood pressure and adjusted my prescription(s)-thus lowering my monthly costs. Most noticed was my visit with Dr. McCormick and his nurse. During each visit, Dr. McCormick asked me questions about my allergies, watched me and listened to what I was describing. During this time, Dr. McCormick's nurse entered both the question, my answer and the Dr.'s prescribed care plan into the electronic patient record system. Imagine----a Dr. and nurse who really listen, interact with you and care about each patient! Thanks so much for your focus and a good care plan for me. Front desk team and shot station team are patient oriented and are a pleasure to work with.

This allergist is very disorganized and horrible toward their patients…read more I initially asked when they could accept me for my first allergy shot, and they stated the ranges of time I could come in. I drove an hour to their location and arrived with the proper timeframe just to be denied. On the day I arrived for my second shot they suddenly decided to no longer take TriCare insurance, after I used my referral for their services, meaning it will be very difficult for me to switch providers. Allergy testing and appointments were a huge investment of time for myself and my active duty spouse, just to abruptly be told that I can no longer continue care with them, not even with a self pay option. I unfortunately live on a heavily wooded military base due to no choice of my own but due to my spouse's military service, and will have to continue suffering through allergies and sinus infections until I can start the allergy treatment process over with a new provider or until my spouse can relocate again. Would not recommend this allergist to anyone, especially military families. This office should be embarrassed of the way they treat their patients.

I took my youngest daughter to Dr. Mandal for allergy testing. We already had allergy results from…read moreanother blood test but we wanted to know more. Dr. Mandal was very professional and went over my daughter's history and allergy results from her last test. She recommended that we go ahead and do a scratch test. She explained that blood testing wasn't necessarily the most accurate way to find out your allergies, they're actually better at telling you what you're NOT allergic to. Surprisingly, after taking the scratch test (ouch!) my daughter was only allergic to one thing versus the list of bajillion allergens that we were previously given. Unfortunately that one thing is peanuts and we were written a prescription for an epi-pen. Not only did Dr. Mandal go over how to use the epi-pen with me, even showing me how to do it on myself, she took a minute to check in with me to ask, "Are YOU okay? Allergies are scary, I know. But now we've got a plan." I appreciated that. On top of that her staff at the Coyle location office were top-notch. It has to be hard administering a test like that on a two-year-old but the nurse was kind and handled the screaming and crying well. She knew what she was doing and worked fast to make the uncomfortable part pass quickly.

I made an appointment with office at the request of my primary doctor so we could pinpoint the cause. To date they have called me 3 times now to "reschedule my appointment ". Yesterday was the 3rd time. It's now been 6 months since my first initial contact with them and now they want to push it to September. Not impressed and received no sympathy from the girl who called yesterday to push my appointment when I explained what go thru on a day to day basis.

The administrative staff seems to be uncaring. Some of the nurse/assistant folks are very friendly. The gal who acts as the Xolair insurance liaison was fantastic. Dr. Chipps' clearly finds bedside manner to be a waste of time. If you like your medical interactions direct, dispassionate, and terse, then this is your guy! Just don't come to the office looking for any sort of comfort, clarity, or reassurance. This is an opportunity just waiting to happen. If another experienced allergy doctor with an ounce of compassion were to open up shop in the area, I believe the customers would pour in like a Midwest thunderstorm.

I had asthma so debilitating that I was living on…read moreemergency inhalers, exhausted all the time, and worried about being hospitalized from all my illnesses. 8 months later I haven't had to use my emergency inhaler in 3 months! I'm astonished at how effective allergy shots have been for me. On meeting the doctor I was impressed at his knowledge and thoroughness. He was professional, efficient-- (and had a wonderful sense of humor ). Liked and trusted him immediately. 8 months later-- he has changed my life. Office staff is pretty fabulous too. This is premium care all around.

I went at the scheduled time @ 9 am. Does locked. Employees could not get in. Had to wait for Dr to get there to unlock the office. Get in checked in and waited 20 minutes only to be told they could not do the testing. You could feel the distaste in the air. Scheduled me for same day at another office. Got testing done only to be told they don't have the medicine. Tell your DOCTORS DON'T refer anyone to them.
