Dr. Carpio's office said the final step was to come to their office for an intake appointment. Mind you, we had NO MEDICAL NEED TO DO THIS. The three of us went and had our 8 minute "nice to meet you, quick medical background review" appointment and went home. We were billed $800 for these appointments. With a high deductible plan, that comes out of my pocket. $800 for an appointment we didn't need. SHAME ON THEM. A fee was never discussed beforehand and I never assumed there'd be a charge since we DID NOT ASK FOR OR NEED THE APPOINTMENT. Worse yet, Dr. Carpio refused to return the multiple messages i left for him to discuss the matter. I won't even go into the BS "coding" that was done to "correctly" bill the appointments. The coding referenced things that weren't even discussed in the appointment. Dr. Carpio is part of the problem. Charging/coding for things that were never discussed to justify a fee. It's not how a normal business is supposed to run but it's how we've all accepted the medical/insurance industry runs. We've since found another primary care physician and the last thing their intake person told us prior to hanging up the phone was "you do need to come in for an appointment to finalize your onboarding as new patients but LET'S WAIT UNTIL YOU ACTUALLY HAVE A NEED before we do that." I will never go to SUTTER or DR. CARPIO again. Other medical groups and doctors offer the same level of service at a much more affordable price.

She didn't want to continue prescriptions I've been on for years because I have had insomnia and…read moreADHD for decades. She clearly had not read my medical intake form and was oblivious to the fact that I have a lot on my plate as someone recently diagnosed with cancer, who just moved back to California, and who was living about an hour away from a sizeable town. She would not do one month bridge prescriptions for me to get established with the doctor's office she recommended I contact (who was out of network for me anyway.) Running out of your ADHD meds that you need to work, when you're an hour away from a pharmacy and you scheduled your appointments in advance because you were relocating to a new state, is not fun. The drug testing she required before I saw her felt punitive too. Nothing came back positive on it, though if she thinks I'm "too complex" because I have insomnia and ADHD, I can't imagine what she would be like to deal with for people who have a positive drug test. She was not only unhelpful, she actively wasted my time and money, and added more stress and headache onto my plate when I have enough of that with cancer.

WORST DOCTOR ON THE PLANET!…read more This woman is not a doctor, she is a monster with zero positive bones in her body. I've decided to change providers, since she was the absolute worst doctor I've ever encountered in my entire life. She never even bothered to go over the entire list of issues that I actually have. The main purpose of my coming to her was a serious pain in my side, which I've had for almost 3 weeks now (which I STILL HAVE). Instead, she chose to be incredibly rude by attacking, insulting, belittling, and bullying me about my life's choice to help my special needs child as a stay at home mom who home schools. I got lectured on how my daughter needed to be in public school and I had to get a job, because God forbid something happened to my husband, I would have to get a job working. She seemed unhinged that I was a home-schooling stay at home mom, and she told me a minimum of 4 times that I needed to get a job. One of the items that I had on my list was weight loss help, and she had zero problem saying that "Clearly I have some work to do." I own a mirror. I'm aware that I have a weight problem. Another turn off was the fact that she had her hair dyed about 12 different clownish colors. She looked ridiculous, and it was completely unprofessional for a doctor's office. I came in with six items, and she helped with 1-1/2 of them, and those were with a contingency attached. She was disgusted with my existence, and I felt like I was in a twilight zone with this berating monster. I immediately switched doctors, but I felt that this needed to be told. A caring doctor would actually read the notes, and not focus on the fact that I was unemployed. What does that have to do with the fact that I was in need of medical attention? I'm still in pain, w/ zero resolution. ***** I knew I wasn't crazy when I found these other reviews on this website that said: https://www.healthgrades.com/physician/dr-holly-leeds-ytsd2 Inconsiderate, rude! Acts like she knows everything even your problem before you describe it. Types on laptop the whole time not personable at all. Very difficult to speak with, grills you looking for alternative agenda. I felt like she was anticipating drug seeking behavior. I did not come to the Dr for any medications.... I would not recommend her! I will be looking for a new Doc!! She acts bothered to see you. Dr. Leeds clearly has her own agenda. There seems to be no effort towards a professional practice. She does not seem to care what the patient expresses...she believes she knows what she knows and that is the final answer. This Dr. does not seem willing to work with you in managing your health care. It seems that it will be her way, or the highway. Good luck if you place your trust here! ***** Also, what does it tell you when on WebMD, when there were 27 ratings, and 100% of them were a 1-star? http://doctor.webmd.com/doctor/6868471/holly-leeds-md-ratings
