So after 3 years and a couple annual check-ups later, I've decided it's time to update my initial…read morereview. Over time, everything balances out for the most part. That includes LO Eye Care. What I've seen (no pun intended) is a growth. A change in priorities perhaps or a recognition as to the value of customer service. Or maybe the realization that customer service doesn't stop after you are greeted, nor does it end once you leave. Although I admit, a constant barrage of niceties and fluff would be rather annoying long term, it is especially refreshing that all the while you're being shuffled from one professional to another during the various phases of the exam, those attending to you are as I said; professional. Such growth. From 3 years ago to now, they've proven a difference. At least to me. My questions were thoughtfully answered. Their patience and understanding was present, the levity, the knowledge in the use and purpose of the equipment did not go unnoticed. Kudos to LO Eye Care on their turn around. Now if you could only find a way to dilate my pupils in such a way that it concludes with my exam...

I had been with L.O. Eye Care in the past, but after moving away from the Lansing,Michigan area I…read morehad gone to an ophthalmology practice in toward Grand Rapids. I had been told from two different doctors at this practice that a cataract could be removed and was getting ready to have my surgery scheduled when I found out that the doctors office for surgery did not participate with my Sparrow Advantage Medicare policy as they were out of network. Because of this, I opted to follow up with L.O. Eye Care. Scheduling my appointment was almost too easy.... Went to the appointment and had the tech go thru my history and reason for my visit. She did the initial testing (eye pressure, vision testing and one for cataract glare, etc.). After my eyes were dilated, I was taken to the room to see Dr.Doshi. I had a bad feeling when he entered the room. His first question was, "You've never been to L.O. Eye Care before?" and "Why are you here then?" I explained about my insurance vs cataract surgery and that I wanted to move forward with having this taken care of. He sighed and whispered something with the tech at the computer (screen is not angled to where you could see). They whispered quietly back and forth and then he went thru a quick eval. "Your cataract is mild. What problems are you having? You can have glasses for distance, and pair for reading and also another pair for computer work. We have 4 or 5 other cataract surgeons in our office. You are always welcome to have another opinion if you don't agree with this one. I will see you in a year." Dr. Doshi barely 5 minutes with a patient and whispering with his tech before checking my eyes.I was handed a prescription for glasses (which was not verified by him only went with the preliminary testing with the first tech). Seriously???? When I left he was back in the corner with a smug look on his face along with the same almost eye rolling assistant. Don't go unless you want to get money taken out of your a$$. I lost $79.00 today would of gotten more satisfaction watching it blow out my car window.

Nobody who knows this place or has been a patient here knows exactly what I am talking about. The MA's change every time you go in and they are ruder and ruder these days because they cannot keep no help. They do all the work now. The dD does not even check your pressure anymore the MA's do. Dr comes in room looks at text result tells what she thinks and out she goes. 2 minutes max. Constant new people with only a certificate from Ross Medical sticking instruments in my eyes over and over. Just not for me. Go some where else seriously.

I have had decent experiences with LO Eye Care until today. My bottom line is, don't get glasses…read morethere. Saturday hours are until 1:00. I came in at 12:38, and the sign-in sheet was gone, and the mirrors on the desks were covered. I was only going to pick up some glasses and have them fitted. I'm chronically ill, and it is hard for me to get out, and I explained this to the staff member. The staff member who waited on me was extremely cold and obviously didn't want to wait on anyone else today. It took about 5 minutes to have them fitted correctly, and he was outright rude. I asked about getting new progressive glasses and progressive sunglasses. He said there wasn't enough time. Meanwhile, my husband had parked and walked into the store and was greeted by actual scowls. After being rushed out, I realized the bifocals were wrong. The next store confirmed that when I was purchasing new progressive sunglasses and progressive transitional glasses, which took 20 minutes from the time I sat in the chair. But now I have to go out again and return the bifocals, wait for them to be corrected, and then go back to have them fitted. It is very hard for me to make appointments due to my health. I don't want to give them any business at all, but the glasses have to be replaced, and I'm not going to pay for them again. My husband and I were both treated badly. I'm handicapped. He is Black. Draw your own conclusions.
