When it comes to messing with gas in my home I have a no hands policy. I called Green Tech to schedule an appointment and left a VM around 6:15. At 6:45 I got a call back. The tech was calling me from his mobile while driving into the office. He literally walked me through what I had to do. "Have you ever lit a gas BBQ? Same concept." Did as he instructed and BAM, we are back in business. Green Tech could have come out and charged me an hourly, which I was willing to pay for, but instead taught an old man a new skill. This is not the first time they have walked me through an issue, hence why I call them for anything plumbing related. Can't recommend Green Tech enough.

I've found it increasingly difficult to find service companies that are knowledgeable in their field, responsive, honest and provide excellent customer service. Not only did Green Tech Plumbing check all these boxes, but they also offer fair pricing. A unicorn of a business. After being overcharged and underwhelmed by our previous plumber, I was on the hunt for a capable plumber to install a whole house water filtration system. From the moment I reached out to Green Tech Plumbing, they were nothing but responsive and helpful. I purchased the filtration system from a vendor, yet Kevin willingly answered all my questions (promptly!) about the system. He even pointed out that one of the options had expensive filters that would need to be changed frequently saving me hundreds of dollars in filters. What a gem! Kevin came out to look at how the system could be installed in our space and talked to me through how the system would work and answered all my questions. He then provided a fair quote. Once our system was delivered, I emailed to set up the installation. His team came out the following week for the installation. The tech Kevin sent was just as helpful! He moved the 100-pound tank from the garage to the basement, which wasn't part of their scope. The tech had to make a run to the hardware store to buy connection pieces that weren't included with system, but he knew exactly what to buy and did so in a timely manner. The install was speedy and flawless. The tech was even willing to stay while I called the vendor's water filtration system customer service expert to walk us through the start up process. On top of this great experience, I wrote a check for the incorrect amount and Kevin responded right away saying he would swing by and drop a check in our mailbox for the overpayment. Unreal! This is how you run a company!

Before I begin, I would like to say S and J is an honorable company…read more We are a retired couple, so the days of being handy and fixing things around the house are gone. We were experiencing a sewer smell every time we showered. Called S and J and they came out and diagnosed the problem as back up in our sewer line. The technician was very honest about the work that had to be performed. He had rodding equipment in his truck that would reach the street sewer. He could try it then or I could make an appointment to have the problem "hydro jetted". Because of the amount of backup, he couldn't guarantee that the work he would do could be done or if he would be just mixing the backup. I obviously opted for the hydro jetting. S and J came out and did the hydro jetting and cleared it out in about 4 hours. In doing so, they pulled out wipes that were in there from the previous owners. In the interim, I signed up for their maintenance plan. This cost was $19.99 month. It consists of 3 visits, one is making sure our sewer lines are clear, two is checking our hot water heater to make sure that its working properly and three is checking our sump pump. This is the honorable part...Paul came out to check our sewer line and was distressed to see that the original person did not clear out all the tree roots. He looked at the video that the original person did not do a good job. He told me to make an appointment for another hydro jetting and it would be on them. This is a professional company that takes care of their customers.

The plumber asked if I had the old sink to see how that was installed, after much huffing and puffing about how complex this was. It's a sink for goodness sake that just needs to be connected. He gave me a quote that was three times what I expected, and wouldn't tell me how many hours at what rate that was based on. "We don't have hourly rates, we quote per job. This had to be the strangest interaction with any service provider I've had. Didn't seem to know what he was doing and then provided a ridiculous quote with no explanation. Or they just try to take advantage of people who don't have any sense of what's involved and how long it should take.

An hour or so after he left, I ran the water in the vanity sink and there was a noticeable leak. He said he would come back a few days later to take a look. He returned and tightened the connections. I again ran the water after he left, and again there was dripping under the drain so I asked him back again. He came back again and did some more tightening and said it should be ok now. I again ran the water after he left and there was still a drip. I then texted him saying that I would like a refund of $350 of the $1100 he charged because the pipes were still leaking and he had already claimed twice that the problem was fixed when it wasn't. He refused and then tried to gaslight me saying actually there was no leaking. So if you want a plumber who doesn't stand by his work, then this is the guy for you (My response to his comments): For the record, here is the text exchange between Brad and Me (and yes I did say "please consider giving me a refund because I don't want to give you bad reviews"--and that is a reasonable response on my part given that I received service that is below what the average person would expect [i.e. 3 visits by the plumber and the sink trap is still dripping]. (From Craig): Brad, The vanity is still leaking and I can't devote any more time to this project, therefore I am requesting a partial refund of the money you charged me. I think a $350 refund would be reasonable. Craig (From Brad): I disagree, the last 2 times I came over there wasn't even a leak. I have gone beyond being reasonable and in reality I should be paid for 2 service calls. (From Craig): Many would ask for a larger if not full refund under these circumstances. Obviously there was a very noticeable leak after the first visit and a much smaller but still noticeable leak after the next 2 visits. Please reconsider because I don't want to give you bad reviews

I well I knew this was way outside my scope of knowledge and ability. I was a bit nervous bringing someone in, but the finished product and my expectations were EXCEEDED!!! I originally found JC Plumbing Home Services & Remodeling on Nextdoor. Nothing but amazing reviews and beautiful pictures to support those reviews! I reached out to Jaryd with pics of my bathroom and we scheduled a time to meet. He and his team are busy (always a great sign!) and he prioritized coming over so we could get the ball moving. Jaryd is an honest, straight-forward, knowledgeable contractor, which I very much appreciate since I tend to ask a lot of questions and don't want fluff, but to tell me how it is. He provided great suggestions for products that he has used on other renos and clients loved. Not only that but provided contacts at different stores like Home Deport, Floor and Decor, and The Tile Shop, to make this process even easier. He also trusted me with what I was picking out as well. But would also provide feedback if he thought a better option was available. Now, to the good stuff: my bathroom looks incredible! (check out the before and after pics). His team was thorough, meticulous, professional, timely, kind, and very understanding of all the questions I had. (I had a lot!) They were detail-oriented and didn't skip a beat to ensure they left my bathroom looking better than when they started. Jaryd stands by his work and also guarantees it. Truly an A+ in customer service, which is hard to find nowadays. We live in a world of entitlement and instant gratification which is why those other reviews are negative. I rarely write reviews, but felt the need to share not only the amazing workmanship and quality, but, compliment Jaryd and his team. I would rather someone take their time (society as a whole has no patience anymore), have a good working relationship with me, than push the contractor to rush and the customer be loud when things go wrong, trying to ruin his companies name/reputation. Thank you, thank you, thank you Jaryd and Team for again exceeding my expectations and I can't wait to partner on future projects!!
