This review is well overdue and it's going to be a long one. So if you don't feel like reading the…read morewhole thing, I am going to sum up my experience with Korkmaz in 3 words: Easy, pleasant and professional. Now, here is a more detailed review: 4.5 years ago I hired Korkmaz to remodel our bathroom from scratch. Gutting everything and redoing the tiles, floors, walls, finishes - the works. Working directly with the owner, Deniz, was extremely easy. He is super friendly, approachable and always makes himself available. He was able to find the gorgeous Emperador Dark marble tile that I had picked on a very short notice. (I believe that we placed the order on a Thursday and received it the following Tuesday.) We had the 300 lbs. cast iron bathtub and toilet that I had ordered delivered straight to Korkmaz who took care of transporting it to our building and everything else. Deniz had recommended a plumber. Unfortunately that plumber ended up refusing to drill our newly-installed marble tile in order to hang a shower body. So Korkmaz's workers stepped in to complete the job for us (free of charge.) Once our bathroom was done, we were beyond happy with the finished result. So we hired Korkmaz to install manufactured maple hardwood floors throughout our apartment as well. That job was completed within 2 days along with new baseboard installation. (Mind you, our apartment was full of furniture and personal belongings. So the workers had to move everything room-to-room in order to work.) I am writing this review now, because we recently had to upgrade a few things in our office. That included the following: painting 1,600 sq. ft. in two tones, installing and painting textured 3D wall panels, new carpet installation, taking down a wall and repairing the drywall/ceiling around it, some plumbing. We stopped at Deniz' store and he was happy to do a free in-office estimate for us immediately. Just as before, his workers did an outstanding job and we are very pleased with the final results. They even put together a bunch of office furniture for us - a large reception area desk, some cabinets, shelves, office chairs, etc. PROS: - The owner himself is really easy to work with and reach via text messages. He would always respond to me almost immediately. I appreciate dealing directly with the company owner. He is also a very likable guy. - The rest of his staff members are also very professional and pleasant. The same people who worked on our home projects helped renovate our office space. - They start working early in the morning and often work on Saturdays as well. - The showroom is humongous and very well-organized. Browsing through their amazing selection of rugs, tile, hardwood floors, etc. is a pleasure. CONS: None. If you have a home project that you need help with or if you are a small business owner looking to renovate their office/store, I suggest that you stop at Korkmaz and meet with Deniz to discuss it.

The drawers on the big one are misaligned. They even installed top drawers in the exact spot where the sinks go, even though we bought the sinks and tops from them at the same time. Our contractor had to tear the drawers apart and reattach the fronts just to make the vanities usable. What is also interesting, when we ordered it, the salesperson did hand-drawing of the big vanity. This drawing is probably the only blueprint that was used during manufacturing. The paint on the edges is already wearing off. There are a couple of places where the primer is showing through. And the vanities we received look somewhat different from the showroom models, which had tight, clean gaps, not the big, uneven ones we got. We even stopped by the store to show them the issues. The person who took our order said she would send someone to our home to look at the problems. We never heard from her again. To be fair, the countertops are exceptionally good. But as we understand it, they are manufactured and installed by a different company that Paramus Kitchen & Bath subcontracts. After vanities were installed, they came to our home, took all the measurements, then in a few days they came again and installed countertops. Top quality. Out of our entire renovation, buying from Paramus Kitchen & Bath was the biggest mistake we made.

Summary: DO NOT BUY. Their product sounds good but they cannot deliver on time (my project took…read morealmost a year and it's still not done!), they make mistakes and you will have a half done project. They don't respond or compensate for the mistakes THEY make. They have not refunded me for money owed to me for doors they could not complete. Completely unethical business. STAY AWAY! I can only speak to the Wayne, NJ franchise, but surprised that their headquarters would allow this. My experience with Perfect Fit Closets and Doors in Wayne, NJ started in November of 2018. I had seen an ad and reached out to them for replacement interior doors for my home in NJ. They offered a compelling solution which required little construction, quick install, and custom sized doors. This caught my eyes as I had purchased a 1960s home and preferred not do rip out all the doors/trims/frames. I placed my order on Nov 25, 2018 for 16 doors in a Beveled Shaker 2-panel, of which 12 doors were standard doors, 2 doors would make up a French closet doors, and 2 separate barn doors. The total order amounted to around $5k. I was told the order would take 4-8 weeks to get the doors in. After MONTHS of waiting (putting on temporary doors for at least my bathrooms), I finally get a call to come install on Feb 25, 2019...3 months from the original order date. The guys come to install, and realize that one of the foyer closet doors were missed, the upstairs hallway closet French door was mis-measured, one office closet door was brought but not installed, and that the barn doors could not be installed for whatever reason. Billy, the guy I was working with re-assures me that he will correct the issues. They come back on March 13, 2019...they attempt to install the barn doors. They end up drilling several (unneeded) holes in my wall, shimming out the barn door hardware, not leveling the tracks (causing the doors to open/close on their own and not stay in place) and the doors barely fit the two openings; one of which is a bathroom, and you can see into; completely defeats the purpose of a door. The barn doors were completely measured and installed wrong, not taking into account overhang of any sort. And to top it off, they don't have the doors for the other doorways that were previously missed and they didn't install the office closet door that was already there! I tell Billy that I am unhappy with the barn-doors and that I will have someone else take care of them (as they were unable to figure it out). Billy comes back and measures the entry foyer door and the upstairs hallway closet French door. Fast forward to October 24, 2019 where after months of following up, the remaining doors arrive (7 months later). The entry foyer closet door is just fine, the install the office closet door. But...the upstairs hallway closet door is still sized wrong and does not fit. Also, overall the attention to detail is not there. The hinge pockets in many cases were cut wrong, the lockset plates were not recessed in (causing the door to not close easily), and their carpentry skills are messy. In addition, in all of this, I had to hound them over phone and text, never got responses or calls, or reassurance in anyway; terrible customer service. Also unless it is a simple door replacement, they have no idea what they are doing. The failed on the barn doors and they failed on the doors that were previously bi-fold and were made solid doors. I've now asked for a refund for the upstairs closet French door, and the two barn doors and associated hardware and as of November 8, 2018, they have yet to provide me a response. I have a pretty good understanding of home renovation and have done several homes but never have I dealt with a vendor so TERRIBLE as this one. I really hate writing negative reviews but this has to be the worst experience I've ever had. THEY CAN'T DELIVER and THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. PLEASE stay away from this company if you want a completed project. I had a year go by with family/friends visit my new home to see missing doors on closets and rooms; what an embarrassment.

We needed a pair of sliding doors for the closet in the master bedroom of our new apartment in NYC…read more After getting an astronomical quote from The Container Store for a pair of their Elfa doors (excluding installation and removal of the old doors), I found The Closet Builder via a search on Google. I made contact with Fiona, who was able to give me a quote via email relatively quickly, and invited me to visit the office in NJ to check out their offerings. While there, Fiona took the time to show us many different style and function combinations. We settled on white glass sliding doors. After our meeting, we exchanged several emails regarding closet organization for the master bedroom and the entryway, and Fiona was very quick to respond and patient with the requests that we had. We settled on a design and then the installer (Norbert) visited the apartment to take measurements. Scheduling was very easy, and the installation took a few hours, during which Norbert and crew were very neat, courteous, and efficient. We couldn't have asked for anything more from Fiona and company and definitely will not hesitate to use her again for future projects. Thank you!

The vendor showed up on time ( granted I live down the road), and came in and I explaine the layout I had envisioned. He took all his measurements. I went over his sketch etc. I would say the appt. lasted for 10 mins max and he said he would have a quote ready for me the following day. Well, the following day came and went. Over the next 2/3 days; I called and left a message or two, and on one occasion I did get the vendor the phone he said he would email the quote. Well, I never received quote; which leads me to believe he's not interested in doing the job. Moving on... I just can't have my clothes laying on the floor for one day. The part that gets my goat is that we want to support local business, but if this is how the client / customer is treated then shame on you.
