The pricing at Girard Interiors is overly complex and highly inflated. No one there can give me a straight or consistent response on pricing and they find every way possible to up-charge. Their business practice is to tack on additional fees to already high prices. For example, they charge significant penalties for using fabric not bought directly through them, high delivery fees, additional charges for foam and any material used, credit card fees, etc. Where they can take advantage of any opportunity to maximize price, they do. What's worst, though, is that many of these penalties and fees are not even revealed until after it's too late to back out. If I could give this place zero stars I would. From start to finish this was the WORST experience I have ever had with a company, and I have worked in the customer service industry my whole life. Originally speaking on the phone with June, everything seemed fine. She said they would send someone out to show us different colors to upholster an examining table in one of the rooms for the doctors office I work in. She originally gave me a price that the doctor agreed upon. About two days later another woman (who was quite pushy and rude) came out to show samples. We had chosen one we liked and she asked for half the payment upfront which was way more than the agreed upon price when spoken with June. In a very rude tone she stated that I didn't know what I was talking about. I then was told that the man would come pick up the tables late Friday, after hours, and they would be able to return it to us early Monday morning before we started seeing patients. It took almost two weeks until we got our table back! We constantly called, continued to get the run around from everyone. We were told a new day and they never came. One of the last times we called they told us "we can just wait because we have two other exam rooms to see patients in." We were absolutely appalled at how the women working at this establishment run their business. We were promised a day and time and nothing was completed the way it was supposed to be. When the table was FINALLY brought back to us, they continued to HOUND us for the other half of the payment. I explained to them that no one told me I needed to have the check ready when they delivered the table. I also explained how the doctor needed to sign the check and they needed to wait until he returned the next day. I had received about 5 phone calls and 3 emails after all this. Then they told us we HAVE to mail it out to them because no one was going to come pick it up. So we did mail it out. Once again they hounded us saying they never received the check and how they're going to get the owner on us. Absolutely ridiculous. A few days went by and the check had finally reached them. This is the absolute WORST company I have EVER dealt with and will never use or suggest to anyone else ever again. I suggest anyone reading this to please choose another company because you do NOT want to deal with this headache and the rude staff that comes along with it. read more

We would recommend Girard Interiors. Nikki has a great sense of design and solution. we had Roman shades that were giving us lot of trouble rolling up. She identified the problem and helped restring existing drapes which is not easy and gave us a custom look that made a big difference to the room. read more

We had a wonderful experience with Girard. We had a sentimental couch that was super comfortable, but did not go with the décor of our home. The couch was over 20 years old. We recognize the quality of older furniture and wanted to restore this piece. Girard was incredibly helpful talking through sample fabrics and ensured that timelines that would be met. They came through timely and with a finished couch that we could not have imagined. It was beautifully done. The removal and delivery was made with incredible care. We cannot say enough about how happy we are that we used them. We highly recommend. read more

What a wonderful experience working with Girard's Interiors. I had the pleasure of working with the owner, Wendy Girard. She was extremely pleasant and listened to my needs. I was looking to reupholster 2 chairs and possibly purchase a new sofa due to dog damage. I showed her pictures of the damage. She immediately knew my style and worked with me to find just the right fabric for the chairs. When she looked at the damage to the sofa, she suggested we add a leather look and just repair the panel and add some nail-head trim. I was very hesitant but put my trust in her as it is crystal clear she is a professional and knows her business. Not only did she save me hundreds of dollars by not having to purchase a new sofa, it looks like I have a custom sofa which everyone loves! Thank you Wendy, my living room looks great! read more

They advertise a discount regarding upholstery to a chair but they decide what type of chair will get that discount. Poor customer service, very disappointing. No small print on advertisement....they are very misleading and could care less about customer relationships. read more

This is my fourth home that I've decorated with Girard's and all have turned out beautiful. Great service and quality. SO happy.

Unfortunately, I contacted Girard Interiors after reading these 2 reviews only because the upholstery i've been working with for 25 years is going out of business. I phoned on a Saturday and the woman who answered was rude, and impatient to simple questions I had, She did not want to answer any questions but said to come in. She phoned me back Monday and was so incredibly rude (forget about customer service), that I called her out on it saying " you seem put off" - and she said she wasn't, that I just should come in instead of asking questions. I told her I was asking very simple questions on things they would do or not do. I came in that week, when I met the owner. I felt compelled to advise the owner of my first experience on the phone and her response was that she "knows" and that the woman isn't really good with people, and that she "told her" she might be contacted. (the woman never apologized to me). My question to myself was "and why do they have someone like that working there with customers"? - but, there was a nice enough lady there so I pursued telling them the fabric and dimensions I was interested in for a cushion. The price came out quite high, (even though the owner did give me a discount for bad customer service) and we discussed how to make it less expensive which I appreciated. However, the owner who had scheduled coming out to my place to "measure" to be sure it was right, mis-read an e-mail I wrote to her and jumped the gun, flippantly cancelling my appointment because she 'thought" I was asking her to come at another time (which I wasn't). I was a fool to even enter the shop after my first experience on the phone. Customers should not be treated as unprofessionally by a number of people as I was there, namely Jo and Wendy. There was a woman named June who was a doll, the others were unimpressive and unprofessional. And they couldn't even wait to come out to take my money, they insisted on a 500 dollar deposit before anything was ordered or done and a "mandate" that I tell her and settle any questions before she even get to my place. Maybe I just had bad luck, but my experience was not good, in fact it was very bad. Unfortunately I cannot comment on quality because I didn't get that far..... read more
