I had a very bad experience here. I had the sagging headliner of my car replaced by Fantauzzi Upholstery. The work was done very fast, at a very low price, and the guys in the shop were very nice. But I can't give them more than one star because not only was the job very badly done, they damaged my car in multiple places. Take a look at the photos -- they were taken just a few weeks after the work was completed. The new headliner was wrinkly and loose in some places. They broke the plastic panels on the roof, then tried to glue them together to cover it up. The buttons didn't work and there was debris in the dome lights. About a month after I got my car back, glue started leaking from the headliner. They also damaged the panels on the front pillars (the ones that between the windshield and the front doors). If that wasn't enough, a few months after the new headliner was installed, it started sagging again. What I'm trying to say is that the work was very, VERY poorly done. But here's the icing on the cake: the plastic roof trims are not the only things they damaged in the car. The leather steering wheel was scratched (they denied scratching the steering wheel, but the marks were not there when I dropped the car off). Finally, when moving the car, they hit a pole, which scratched the passenger side mirror. The scratch mostly buffed out, so luckily no lasting damage there, but that's no consolation overall. When I picked the car up, they urged me to look past the imperfections because they would improve over time. They didn't. They got worse. Sadly, I didn't review their work properly, and in the dark, I didn't notice some of the glaring imperfections and damage to the interior. This is on me, but when I tried to reach them later to complain and to ask for repairs, they blew me off (for weeks, I tried asking when they could take the car again and never got a definitive answer). I'm sorry to say this, but in hindsight, it's probably a good thing that they didn't work on my car again. Disclaimer: I was a customer here about a year ago. Things may have changed since, but I would be cautious. I had the headliner replaced by another shop in the area and I'm very happy with the result. There are better options out there! read more

Had two jobs done by Fantauzzi Upholstery on my 2005 Chevy Tahoe. 1. One year ago, Front seat cover bottoms. I supplied the covers to replace the original worn out seat bottoms. Good job and very satisfied. Though Renzo forgot to reconnect the heated seat he took care of it as soon as I mentioned it. 2. Two weeks ago, Headliner. Truck is 15 yrs old and was due for a refresh. I would NEVER use Fantauzzi upholstery again. They held my furniture hostage for weeks, saying they will be ready next week, but next week never came. Finally after 8 weeks the slip covers were too tight and started ripping and pillows were shoved into covers 5" too small. He said, "no problem I will fix everything," but when he did he used a DIFFERENT fabric. My chairs look like frankenstein chairs with 2 different shades of white!!! Now I am having to pay some one else to redo the covers completely. I am still in shock that this guy is not out of business. Don't be fooled by his low prices because you will get less than you paid for. read more

Brought 3 seat cushions that I thought were well beyond saving. i dropped them off with Renzo around noon on a Saturday. By 7:30 that night they were ready. Sectional is like new. Looks and feels great. Very reasonable $. I already have him constructing new cushions for an outdoor teak bench. Renzo was also a big help selecting the proper fabric for the application. If you don't mind the cramped and scattered store front you will be well rewarded. Can't wait to see my bench. read more

This may look like a nondescript warehouse but they truly do great work. Had my convertible top installed and not only did the price come in less than half of some competitors but it looks incredible. You will have to wait a few weeks for your appointment but it is well worth it. They are very knowledgeable in all fields of upholstery and work quickly. I brought in an office chair seat that needed reconstruction--new foam and fabric. The business isn't really set up for walk-ins--just a small messy factory in a garage-like setting. But the young man there did a fine job with my item for a reasonable price. He let me pick out a fabric scrap from a heap for $10, and charged me $20 for the foam and $20 for labor. I picked up the item the next day. I'm happy that my chair is good as new again. read more

I wish I read this business review before I set foot at this upholstery shop. First their website states that they accept visa. Not true. Renzo the upholsterer said cash only. He ruined my fabric and tried to finish my bed with a different fabric and lied about how he ordered the correct fabric but he never did. The headboard arrived unwrapped and dirty with no base and missing a button. Renzo also said that the bed will be ready in less than 6 weeks. Not true. It arrived more than 3 months later. The side chair he upholstered have visible metal in the back and the center of the fabric is not aligned. Overall It was the worst upholsterer I have ever encountered. He's a pleasant person but extremely sloppy, inconsistent, unreliable and lacks a sence of communication when in doubt. Not sure how he stays in business. I guess he's good with cars and boats but for common things like chairs, bed etc which requires more details he's not to standard. Also in his first attemp to deliver the goods he never showed up or even bothered to call and say he wasn't coming. I called him instead. I do wonder if he is the true owner of this shop like he claims he is when I asked him. I would never recommend this business not even to an enemy. I guess I got for what I paid for since he gave me the cheapest price quotes. Now I'm redoing everything all over again since the bed looks like it's tearing on the side already. read more
