My 99 year old Aunt needed a dentist and Dr.Abrams was recommended. He was out of the office so Dr. Goldsmith saw her. The office staff is great! Belissa told me to bring her in even though he was, technically, not seeing patients that day. She was in a wheelchair and they all were very patient and compassionate. I've never had periodontal work done before but I'd heard horror stories about it. Dr Abrams was able to diagnose my problem and thankfully fix it in one visit. While the surgery itself isn't exactly pleasant Dr Abrams and I his team did everything they could to make me more comfortable and it went very well. Dr. Abrams did a wonderful job on me and I don't care for dentists. Born in 51 my youthful dental experiences were anything but pleasant. By now I only have 3 teeth left, and they are on the lower. The upper plate stays in ok by itself ( I use powered fixadent extra hold). But my lower plate was always a problem. It would come loose after every meal. Dr. Abrams put three implants and dr Penn made me a lower plate that clicks into the implants and I am so happy now. The lower clicks in in the morning and clicks out at night. They stay firm and I can eat anything without problem. This is a big quality of life issue. Now I want to do the same thing to my uppers. I would recommend this to everyone, it's amazing. By the way, I had three implants at one visit and it didn't hurt one bit. Even my cleanings ( of my last there lousy teeth) don't hurt. I'm definitely doing my upper plate, and I'm not scared one bit. read more

Dr. Michael Abrams, at 6910 Ave U in Brooklyn, is the best periodontist in Brooklyn and possibly the world. He is extraordinarily meticulous and painstaking in his work. Everything has to be perfect, which is a good thing for us patients. He takes his time and doesn't rush. No one does better work than he. My own very good dentist sent me to him because my mouth was too complicated for him, and he said only Dr. Abrams is up to the job. Dr. Abrams is also very pleasant and kind and nice looking. His staff is professional and they look out for the patient. They make sure you have the necessary prescriptions in hand weeks before oral surgery. Years ago, a careless doctor and his incompetent staff would give me scripts for painkillers on my way out after surgery, and then I'd have to stop at the pharmacy and try not to cry in pain until my script was filled. Getting your scripts beforehand is the sign of a well run and professional office. Appointments run on time. I think highly of Dr. Abrams. He is one truly gifted and dedicated doctor. read more

Like so many of us, I was completely terrified about going to the dentist. At 27 I now suffer from severe periodontitis. During my initial consultation, Dr. Abrams took the time to sit down with me to translate my X-rays and to explain what was occuring in my mouth. He constructed a comprehensive schedule of treatments for me in which he thoroughly explained. He was caring, very knowledgeable, honest, and REALISTIC about my treatment and expected outcome. I must admit that I was completely horrified with the thought of endurring periodontal surgery, but the truth is I have just completed my second surgery and they were both virtually painless! The staff here are both professional and personable. I have never waited more then 10 minutes at an appoinment and they always call after surgery to see how I am doing. For initial and maintenence cleanings, the hygienist here is awesome!. She is very sweet, gentle, but very thorough! The office is extremely clean and technologically advanced. You can even watch T.V. on your own personal flatscreen! If like me you do not have dental coverage, they offer financing options with Care Credit.
