The last time I was there I saw Dr. Oluremi Ogunsanya for a consultation, and I have to say it was among the most unpleasant encounters I have ever had with a medical professional. Dr. Remi, as he was introduced to me, badgered me, treated me like a child, questioned my referring dentist's diagnosis/credentials and just generally acted like a rude, arrogant teenager. He never even looked in my mouth. I ended up getting my referral back and going to a place that is way less convenient simply because a) if I want to get yelled at, I will ask my boss to extract my tooth, b) he seemed pissed off at me in a way that felt almost personal, although based on other reviews out there, it appears to just be the way he is, and c) I didn't want to give him any of my money. When I went back for the referral and a copy of my X-rays, I could tell from the front desk employees that I was not the first, even though I never said a word about why. And I see other reviews right here on Yelp that have to be about this same doctor. Dr. Amrani is great, but I would be wary of Dr. Ogunsanya.

Everything went very smoothly. Although he sent me medication such as antibiotics, steroids to control inflammation, and two types of pain killer, I only took the antibiotics and rinsed with salt water. I had virtually no pain. This doctor is marvelous, thorough, patient and professional. He explained my choices in great detail during the consultation visit prior to the surgery. I felt well prepared and in good hands. Two, everyone and I mean everyone I spoke with from the front person, the dentist to the hygenist all thanked me for choosing their office. Since my first review my family and I received letters to find a new dentist. Not a problem, an actual wake up call! My daughter had an appointment and her father paid $300 out of pocket. The office received payment from both insurance companies three weeks ago, so my daughter's father is owed a $300 refund. However, the office is now refusing to issue the refund because my own separate account supposedly has a balance. That balance exists only because they billed my secondary insurance incorrectly. Instead of fixing their mistake, they are trying to transfer my daughter's refund to my account without my authorization. These are two different patients and two different accounts, yet they are holding my daughter's money to cover their billing error. I have never experienced such unprofessional and unethical billing practices. Patients should not have to fight to get their own money back, especially when the mistake was made by the office. I would strongly recommend that anyone going here carefully review their bills and insurance claims, because this office seems more concerned with holding onto money than providing honest service. I'm not a doormat and will not be treated like this. Time to contact the NYS Attorney General's Health Care Bureau, the NYS Education Department (Office of the Professions) for professional misconduct, and the NYS Department of Health for Medicaid fraud.

I was told I was receiving zirconia veneers, but instead I was given a much cheaper material. Within only 3 months, one tooth cracked, and the second cracked about 8 months later, and now I am dealing with tooth decay as well. Before this, I only ever had one root canal at 12 years old and never had ongoing issues with my front teeth. On top of that, my insurance was billed for procedures and services that I believe were inaccurate and misleading. While my insurance was active, the office was willing to work with me. The moment my insurance ended, they refused to properly address or fix the work they had done, despite my repeated calls and text messages explaining the situation and the pain and decay I was experiencing. The front desk staff were also consistently rude and dismissive whenever I tried to get help. After months of trying to resolve this directly with the office, I was forced to hire a lawyer. This experience has been extremely stressful, painful, and expensive. I would strongly encourage anyone considering treatment here to ask detailed questions about the materials being used, get everything in writing, and carefully review what is being billed to their insurance.
