That is important to me at least, because although I really like everyone who works there i just don't enjoy being in a dentist's chair. Jackie helps make it tolerable for me and I appreciate that. When you walk in for your appointment they greet you by name. There are usually two or three people busy at their computers. The office, led by Alana (office manager) runs smoothly. If you ever have a question about anything, everyone is more than willing to help you. It is not one of those doctors offices where you are made to feel like you are intruding as you tap on the glass to speak with the person sitting on the other side who is making believe they don't see you. It is quite the opposite at High Point Dentistry. I attribute this positive style of working with patients to Alana and any others serving in a managerial role. I think that all the staff that Alana manages has been chosen wisely. They are all attentive towards patients ad they each seem to be the type of person who is patient and gets along well with others. Dr. Sirin purchased the practice that used to operate out of his current location. When you call…read morethe old number, the receptionist answers the phone "Dr. Sirin & Dr. Burren's office". However, Dr. Burren (from whom he purchased the practice) no longer has anything to do with the practice. After going to Dr. Burren for 10+ years, I was used to an efficiently run dentist's office and a dentist with kind bedside manner and a willingness to take the time to converse with you and get into details in regards to any questions you had about your teeth. My experience here was different. I arrived just in time for my appointment, but waited for about 10 minutes in the waiting room. When Dr. Burren ran the place, you never waited more than 2 minutes, tops. When the time came, my hygienist did a great job, but because she had not been properly trained on the new software which Dr. Sirin used, my appointment took longer than necessary and made for what I would describe as an "un-smooth" experience. When she was done, I waited another 10 minutes for Dr. Sirin to come in. When he did, he gave me a brief greeting, looked at my x-rays, and said, "What's the plan for these wisdom teeth?" Somewhat confused as to why a professional was asking me how I plan to proceed in regards to the very professional services for which he was paid, I said, "I don't know...you tell me?" With little to no explanation he told me that they should come out and that the receptionist would give me a referral and that was about it. When I went to pay the bill, the cost was significantly more for similar services than it was under Dr. Burren. I don't like writing bad reviews, but my hope is that other former patients of Dr. Burren will see this review and as a result save a bit of their precious time and money...two things for which, in regards to his patients, Dr. Burren had more respect.
