Bridlewood Family Healthcare - Dr. Brian Glaser, DO

Bridlewood Family Healthcare

After my beloved PCP retired/moved out of state, I decided to try Bridlewood Family Healthcare due…read moreto proximity to home and because my prior PCP had stated that my medical records would be transferred there. The front desk staff was nice and the MAs friendly. They apologized and thanked me when I mentioned that I found a 6 day old urine sample in the restroom. Dr. Glaser was not friendly towards me. My visit was to be a new patient physical. He did not engage or try to get to know me at all. My face to face time with him was less than 10 minutes, and the only thing memorable that he said was that my insurance might not pay for my updated tetanus shot (they did). I went downstairs to do lab work and was there for about 30 minutes when they finally realized that Dr. Glaser did not order lab work because I had done lab work 7 months prior. Fairly certain that lab work is part of a physical...but whatever. I had already made up my mind that this man would not be my new PCP. A PCP should be warm and engaging, and someone who will listen to their patients when they are concerned about something - Dr. Glaser checked none of these boxes. Fast forward a few weeks later to the billing nightmare that followed, my insurance covers an annual physical (including the lab work he wouldn't order) 100%...but the first bill was coded as a new patient appointment, but they left the physical off. So I had to call the office about this...they made my patient responsibility $0 in their system, but then rebilled my insurance company with duplicate charges and overbilled by almost triple. I decided to call BCBS directly since I had yet to find a competent individual to help me at the practice. The insurance rep told me that one of the codes used on the new bill was for a psychiatric evaluation...OMG! I explained the whole situation again, and BCBS filed a grievance and the billing did eventually get situated. I have talked to others who have noticed similar billing issues on their statements from this practice...so definitely watch your EOBs here. Unreported overbilling is sadly something that happens too often in the medical world. I have given up on ever seeing my 7+ years of medical records from my prior PCP. I am fairly certain they went into an abyss of some sort in this Bridlewood office of confusion.

I've been going here for about 4 years now and I love this office. I've never had a bad experience…read more Getting in touch with someone on the phone can be frustrating for those that are not technically inclined. But if you use the Healow app, the docs are pretty quick to respond plus your care needs are documented. I started using Bridlewood, Dr. Glaser and his staff because the last office I was at didn't listen to me. I'm diabetic and trying to find the right medication has been much trial and error but my last office brushed off my errors. So when I first started with Bridlewood, Michelle Hampton heard me and started me on my way to finding what worked. I was sad to lose Victoria Thomas but it was an easy transition back to Michelle and they really do care. I have trouble with getting medication but that's due to my insurance not the office. Michelle and her team have been in constant communication with me and are eager to help where they can. I've had nothing but a pleasant and stress free experience working with the Bridlewood staff. My one complaint would be that I never got an Amazon gift card!

I am trying to be a grown person, doing grown people things, so I finally decided to find a doctor…read more And not because I was dying or broken, but to establish a history and find someone who will care about things like my potassium levels. I didn't even know I had a potassium level. I decided on this location purely because it is close to where I live and I am trying not to give myself excuses to bail. I swear I am not afraid of doctors. I found Dr. Robinson on my insurance website. I could book my appointment, fill out my paperwork before I came in, everything was easy peasy. I didn't have to wait long before I was taken back and everyone was very friendly. It wasn't long before Dr. Robinson came in and sat down for a chat. I was shocked. She wanted to go over all my history. Like, all of it. She checked all my vitals and did her doctorly things. I don't know that I have ever spent that much time with a doc, or I should say I don't know that a doctor has every spent that much time with ME. I even agreed to a tetanus shot, and got a sucker. Because I'm brave. I didn't know I was going to be giving up blood and had had a coffee, so I had to come back two days later to give it up. The nurse I had seen previously saw me waiting and stopped by to say hello. All in all it was a lovely experience and I promise I will come back.

If you're looking for negligence.. laziness.. no communication.. this is the place. Start with Hunt…read moreas the pediatrician. They weren't giving vaccines at their wellness appts. I was told they were up to date every appt. I have no clue how they could let this happen. I have 4 kids. We have never missed an annual checkup. Have been going to the pediatrician here for 15 years. Started with Benzick and the last few was with Hunt. Between Benzick and Hunt we moved out of state. The pediatrician out of state was amazing with letting us know which vaccines our kids needed. For some reason they had a hard time getting a hold of this office (SFM) to get their records. They pushed for months and finally got them. THEY got them. When we moved back to go to Hunt I noticed they never had any vaccines due. I figured they knew more than me and I trusted their process. I'd ask when they'd call to confirm the appts if any of the kids had vaccines so I could prepare them and every time "nope none this time!" The only one they said was due was my 14-15yo but never the littles. The schools started giving us a hard time saying the kids weren't up to date. So I argued with them like an idiot saying my kids are absolutely up to date. Turns out nope. This office never gave them their vaccines. When we tried calling them to let them know and ask why.. crickets. This office ghosted us. Not one call back from someone who could explain this and we called a lot. My kids could have gotten serious diseases because of the negligence at this office. They never once told us they needed any, they just never kept up with it at all! Every single time I called I asked who had what due and they'd always say they're good. I thought it was strange but trusted the doctor would know and would let us know when they had more coming up. Benzick was good but Hunt's team and records people need to be retrained. How do you go about doing a whole wellness exam and skip the part that keeps them safe? I feel like I put too much trust in this place and shouldn't have. I should have asked Google or ChatGPT which vaccines were due for a 3, 4, 5 etc y/o before their appointments and what to expect so I can do their job for them and walk them through the whole exam. Thank god for school nurses, of all people, who caught this. They educated us more about our kids' missing vaccines than this Dr office ever did!
