When I read Dr. Haque's reviews , I was impressed but a little concerned about the feedback regarding his staff. I decided to find out for myself and I didn't find a decent doctor ... I found an AMAZING doctor who saved my life AND his office staff are awesome. That little lump was something to worry about because it was cancer. Dr. Haque listened to me , believed me and followed up on my concern . That wasn't the best part.... Once he knew it was cancer, he took complete charge of the situation , presented my options and told me what his preference was. THAT is what I want to hear from my doctor. He was assertive and in control of the situation . I loved that because I went to an expert and I didn't have an opinion ( otherwise I'd be an endocrinologist ) and he had my opinion for me. Through the whole process of surgery and RAI, this doctor called me regularly to check on my progress even though another surgeon he recommended, did my surgery. The surgeon, Dr. Garner also told me that Dr. Haque remains engaged with his patients so if he told me to do something different to what she told me ---- to go ahead and do what he says ... lol. He remained involved and engaged and at all times I knew, I was in good hands . I don't know what I don't know but he took charge and for that , my family and I are truly grateful. If you are looking for a touchy feely guy who will wipe away your tears - this is not your kind of doctor . His caring and comfort comes from providing outstanding medical care - making sure he does the best he can to make you well again. I suggest a therapist for the hand holding stuff. This medical professional scores high points with me and I would have NO hesitation recommending him to anyone. He has a great PA and his nurse Jessica is the absolute best. She is a little quirky and has a highly developed sense of humor. If you are the kind of person that doesn't enjoy that , just ask her to tone it down. I love it so I encourage it. This office has always returned my calls and been responsive to my questions . They have been kind and supportive through my recent challenges and I'm not the easiest patient . I'm rebellious and I have attitude and Dr. Haque and his team have gently worked to make me whole again. Lastly, this is not a doctor who will ask for your opinion - why should he ? He gets paid to have my opinion for me when it comes to my health. I have no problem recommending you entrust your health to him. As for all the blah about his office staff - not true - they are great. Hope you visit Dr. Haque and hope he helps make you healthy. The only problem I have with him is that he expects me to keep a record of my blood sugar. Hmmmm he hadn't quite figured out I only take it when I'm being good . Don't tell him Lastly, today my results came in and I am NED ( no evidence of disease) - thanks to my amazing doctor. Hope he becomes your amazing doctor too.

I am a type 1 diabetic and Insurance makes life difficult to manage medications but the quality of care is so bad that after trying 3 different physicians over the past dozen years I am switching diabetes care after another sleepless week without foot pain medication and although this office is less than 2 miles from my home I am willing to drive to another city to make sure I no longer wait over a week routinely for refills of meds I've been taking for 20+ years.

The receptionist was cheerful and very polite, and I enjoyed the check-in process. This appointment, I was with NP Graham. What I like most about her is that she's very personable, listens, and hears what is being shared. I'm always happy to see her or Dr. Roopa. The checkout process was just as fulfilling as the check-in, and the gentleman was more than a pleasure to chat with as I was putting a close to my appointment. I applaud them for the improvements, and that's the type of care I always hope for.

Amanda made everything about herself, and I had to sit there and listen to her tell me about her own journey over and over at each visit. She constantly talked over me, one-upped me, and continued to make every appointment about herself to the point my husband said something to me about it when I didn't even bring it up to him...he never notices anything, so I was shocked. I never felt heard, and though I have no doubt she knew what she was doing, Dr. Roopa listens and says that I know my body, and would adjust accordingly and it always worked. Amanda would always tell me what worked for her, and didn't listen when I told her I knew my own body, and her methods for herself were not working for me, even though I tried them. She did give good advice, but it wasn't advice I needed at the visits. I haven't had issues with the front office staff or the nurses/techs. My BIGGEST complaint besides Amanda, is the fact I cannot see Dr. Roopa every visit. I hate going back and forth between her and the medical assistant. I have no issue with the current MA I see, but I don't like not seeing the same doctor every time. When I explained this to the front, they told me it isn't possible to see only Dr. Roopa. I've never had a practice like that before, and I already have medical anxiety as it is. and seeing different people triggers it badly. I explained this to the front and they wouldn't accommodate me. If Dr. Roopa weren't so amazing, I would've changed practices a long time ago. 3 stars because I'm so torn...

Why then pay so much for the visit?! They try to sell you other services for weight loss rather than focusing on proper endocrine health. If you're in a pinch and cannot get in fast enough with an in-network endocrinologist this might be an option that will cost you dearly. I do not know what all the glowing Google reviewers received in return for writing their reviews.

I really wish some of these Doctors, Samata Basani for one, at Las Colinas Endocrinology, would…read morehave better addressed my getting treatment for non alcolholic fatty liver disease (nash) which now they are calling something different.. I went in January of 2024 and she did all the necessary bloodwork she thought needed to be done. I trusted her because all the reviews for diabetes seemed legit and one of the few addressing nash that was on my insurance...It took a really long time to get my test results back. The findings were Really Low Testosterone, Really low Dhea, Low Cortisol, Low ACTH Plasma, high glucose and really high alkaline phosphate which is one of the best markers for this disease. I was tired all the time, couldn't digest my food well, getting sick easily, low (0) libido, skin issues, rashes that wouldn't heal just to name a few... So what does she do? Puts me on low dose CORTISONE and tells me I will need to take it the rest of my life. I AM SO SICK OF DOCTORS who simply wish to keep u on the medical hamster wheel. No matter it was giving me horrible mood swings. I went to DR John Gonino at Gonino Wellness Center in Heath Texas in June after a horrible incident with her protocol. He immediately gave me an option for a testosterone cream, (they don't make it for women so this was a compounded formula, not just the same pill they give to men) suggested I start taking 10 mg of a DHEA vitamin/mineral which I found on consumer lad (an independent lab that tests these types of products that the FDA chooses not to) Gave me a plan, a livable plan, and inspired me to reduce sugar intake (no talk of diet with her). And shared with me how to safely do coffee enemas which has really helped bring down my ALP. (I know, it's tricky and not fun but doable if you want to get on top of this...) Anyway, I wanted to wait and see the results of this new protocol before posting and I am happy to say that although I have not had ACTH Plasma retested yet, all the other markers have improved substantially. AND I'm not taking a lifetime prescription medication that creates a host of other issues, not to mention if she got my diagnoses wrong which I learned could have thrown me into the very thing she was treating me for. I am no longer feeling fatigued, immunity has improved substantially as this nasty winter has shown me... hair and skin beautiful and A1C down from prediabetic 6.2 to 5.8 woo hoo.
