My husband has stayed 5 times, myself with him 3 times. It's pure MAGIC here. The grounds are…read morebeautiful! We've spent many hours on the benches discussing our future together. We are always so inspired here! We very nearly named our daughter (expecting soon) Harper to honor this wonderful house and its history (we aren't, but maybe our next one). We look forward to the clean rooms, and of course the scrumptious breakfast! The owners/caretakers are fabulous hosts. Sitting in the tower overlooking the vineyards is an experience like no other. I have the fondest memories here and we plan to return again and again for special occasions.

The owners were very welcoming and accommodated our early arrival, greeting us kindly and making sure we could get settled in right away. The property has a nostalgic, "grandmother's house" feel. We stayed in the Robert Harper Suite, one of three units, which featured a loft that we especially enjoyed. The separate kitchen area was thoughtfully stocked with essentials like a coffee pot and refrigerator, and storage space. The four-seat dining table was a nice touch. Each room includes a hot tub for two, which had plenty of hot water throughout our stay. Breakfast was plentiful and satisfying--an assortment of fruit, pastries, muffins, fresh-baked bread, homemade granola, an fresh omelet for each guest. Sue is a good cook. It was delivered by 7:30 a.m., and guests served themselves. The dining room fits three couples, but guest rooms feature space to eat privately. During our stay, two couples who traveled together ate together, while we enjoyed breakfast privately in our suite. Housekeeping was attentive as our room was refreshed with clean towels and trash removal daily, even without requesting it. Small details stood out, like many nightlights placed in hallways and stairwells--especially helpful when going up to the loft. Many Grandma's heritage antiques, flowers and crafts of a gone by era are spread throughout the property. Only one downside; temperature control. The house was set on air conditioning, and while the days were pleasant, the evenings turned chilly (dropping below 40°F), and then it rained, bringing even more cool. The in-room fireplace heater wouldn't turn on, and unlike a hotel, the thermostat can't be adjusted per room. While we made do by layering with sweaters and pants, and using all the blanket bedding, it was chilly. It's something to keep in mind when visiting in changing to cooler Fall weather. Overall, the Polly Harper Inn offered a cozy, accommodating stay with lots of thoughtful touches. We especially appreciated the charm of the property, the attentive hosts, and the comfort of our suite. It was also quiet as we didn't hear the other guests very often. We'd stay again and thank you for the nice visit. Recommend checking them out is they are very competitive with a regular hotel room and you get so much more for your money

Bella Teresina Inn - Wine glass and the pretty wallpaper (:

Love this place. Was looking for a little get away from the city life and stumbled across the Bella…read moreTeresina Inn after a few hours of searching for something new. The people who live here are amazing, very sweet and offered excellent advice. The food they made was delicious and very unique. The hot tub does sit about 4 people in it, the night I was there it seemed as if nobody in the house was interested in it so I was practically alone. Close distance to many wineries and restaurants. The rooms are all themed, I chose the city living and it was very pretty. Definitely recommend this place to ANYONE wanting to get away for a night and enjoy some wine out in Geneva. I can't wait to go again.

Really enjoyed all the cookies and tasty and plentiful breakfasts. Our room was upgraded at no cost because there were no other guests staying in the home this weekend, which we appreciated, especially with a pregnant wife. The only 2 critiques that I have- I would suggest to Jeff and Danielle to consider using 2-ply toilet paper. It was a little jarring to have everything else so nice and then have single ply paper. Perhaps if septic system care was an issue, you could install a bidet on the toilet. They are $30 on Amazon and an amazing upgrade to any toilet. Also, the upstairs bathroom faucet is too short- I kept making a mess of that lovely countertop because it doesn't extend far enough. Outside of these things, we loved our experience and hope to return the next time we come back to Geneva!

Had a great weekend visit with my hubby and another couple and stayed in cottage 2…read more Pros: -Beds were super comfy and everything was immaculately clean! -Loved having TVs throughout, plenty of pillows, a fan and heater, etc. -Breakfast served to the room daily as part of the stay in a cute picnic basket. -Parking was easy, communication with the resort was consistent and simple -Grounds were really cute! The terraces were lovely -Loved the on site restaurant being so easy to access -Towels/washcloths were plentiful and comfy Cons: -Room has a definite musty smell from water damage somewhere. All of my stuff smells musty after the visit -Hot water in a room for 4 people ran out after 2, and was luke warm for the first two. Shower head is cheap and atrocious -Breakfast order was wrong every morning despite filing out the google form as clearly as possible. The form needs revamped to be specific for each guest as existing form was clearly confusing for the kitchen / kitchen does not know how to follow instructions. We had a clear allergy that was disregarded and mixed in with the gluten free guest resulting in frustration and allergen exposure -Restaurant was good but over priced for the quality/type of food. For what we spent, a bread appetizer should be complimentary. Server was nice but hard to get her to stop at our table. $100 pre tip is a lot for a bowl of pasta, a steak, a beer, a glass of wine and some fries. -Why is it so hard to get bottled water? Requests with our breakfast were ignored, and I ended up going to get a pitcher of water from the restaurant

There is also a lovely little electric sauna which did the job. Be aware there are not full amenities here such as showers or other bath items, but there is a sauna shower where you can get a spritz. There is wine, champagne and cheese/charcuterie boards for purchase, and complimentary hot chocolate, coffee and orange peel infused water. Taryn the spa manager was welcoming and friendly. Weekday pricing was very reasonable. My only gripe was the peculiar sitting area, with a motley crew of decor. But that's a minor oversight for what was otherwise a perfect day. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Geneva on the lake.

I was told not to complain about anything, because the owners would kick us out, if I did…read more It was clean, but we were expected to clean it before we left. There was a hot water leak in unit #9, & no shut off valve, so all the water had to be shut off to fix it. I haven't stayed anywhere else in Geneva-on-the-Lake, so I don't know how this compares to others. The town seems to cater to the motorcycle crowd.

Here's the moral to the story - and I'll give details afterward: Eagle Cliff Inn has new owners and…read moreit is NOTHING like it had been when owned by Jerry & Lu. I have stayed at the inn every year for 13 years! Don't be fooled...The great reviews and nearly 5-star ratings are carry-overs from previous ownership. The lovely photos on the Eagle Cliff website are also carry-overs from the previous owners. A little bait and switch? The new owners are obviously coasting on the previous reputation of excellence that Jerry & Lu earned. Now the details: In less than one year since ownership transferred, the inn has fallen into disrepair and the simplest amenities (such as bedding and towels) seem to be the cheapest they could find. It starts at the front porch where two dead hanging plants set the tone for what we should expect. A few steps further, we found a badly torn screen in the door. A long strand of severed speaker wire hung loosely next to the door. One outdoor sconce was burnt out while one of the porch fans didn't work. Many light fixtures inside didn't work including the stairwell lighting (safety???). There are large cracks and badly patched holes throughout the interior. Bare screws remain in walls all over where previous decor had been removed. The ceiling fan in our bathroom was teeming with dead bugs and the vents were literally overflowing with dirt and dust. And don't look too closely into the toilet bowl. (I'll leave that one there.) I could go on but these examples should paint the (grim) picture. The inn is now the same "class" as the many roadside motels that serve the strip - but with a higher price tag while the owners leverage the PREVIOUS glory of the Eagle Cliff. It's a place to flop, no more than that. And it's not even been a year since the new owners took over. I can't imagine what it will become in another year and beyond. May I propose a new, more fitting, name? How about "Seagull Sinkhole"?
