Braden, FAR above the competition, won us over with his professionalism, but blew us away with his character as a human being from day one. He leaves no stone unturned as a DJ, and inquired about lights, special effects/equipment, any cultural customs to be aware about, health issues, etc. He even wanted to take the time to get to know us as a couple over beers so he could tailor his performance to us as a couple, our personality, and our vibe. I hope readers understand that this is an amazing, personal touch because no other DJ offered to personalize our event to the extent that Braden did. I also want to vouch that *after* I hired him, I saw him featured in multiple magazines for his work as a DJ/MC, which only made me more excited to show him off at our wedding. In the planning process he was relaxed and prepared, needed very little of us, but was also willing to take whatever instruction we asked for, and was a calming, confident presence on our wedding day. We hit him with a somewhat last minute, very strange request to sample lines from our favorite SNL skit and work them into the dancefloor music, assuming he would think we were crazy, but he enthusiastically had the audio pulled within days and went above and beyond mixing a custom song for us with the SNL audio. A week before the wedding we asked for a disco ball and he found a way to borrow one at no extra cost to us. He was also a wonderful MC, which was a more significant element of the day than we anticipated. He was so active on the day of, constantly monitoring volume levels, crowd mood and reaction, etc., adjusting volume of the mic on my groom for when he was speaking versus when I was speaking a few feet away from the mic - it was all flawlessly executed. Don hit all the cue's without needing prompting. During cocktail hour he played great music and what I really appreciated is he came out and checked in about 10 minutes before I had told him in the the timeline I gave him that I wanted to do the bride and groom entrance. He let me know what time it was and asked me if I still wanted to keep to the timeline or push it back a little. Don was great at making announcements to the guests of when to take their seats and then he went table to table and released them to get in line for the buffet dinner. The music he played for dancing was perfect and when the music cut off at the end of the night we had many guests voice how bummed they were the party was over. We've had lots of guest tell us how great Don was and how they loved the music. Would definitely recommend Don.
