The restaurant is clean and well decorated with Early America decor. The atmosphere was busy and the noise level above average. My husband and nephew ordered chicken fried steak. The steak was large and fried to a golden brown. Dan shared with me and still had some left. It cost about $5 more than what we pay for chicken fried steak at diners in Tulsa, but in fairness, the taste of the steak was a little better than what we are used to. The mashed potatoes were made from fresh potatoes, and they were delicious! I chose fried shrimp, French fries, and Cole slaw. I got a huge plate of home made fries which were delicious. I shared with others and still took some home. I didn't like the shrimp and sent the slaw back. The shrimp were not fried crisp and just a little doughy. I got one slice of lemon but couldn't have used more because the shrimp sauce was too thick for dipping. I tried putting some on the shrimp with a fork but didn't like it. The slaw had too much sauce which made the cabbage soft. I asked if I could exchange it for steamed vegetables. They took my slaw but didn't bring the vegetables. Our nephew got a loaded baked potato with his meal and it looked tempting. My sister in law got a rib eye sandwich which came with potato chips. They served it without any sauce, but brought sauce when she requested it. I overheard her tell her husband it was overcooked. The servers were friendly. I'd say we got good service, but two very large groups ordered right before us causing the kitchen to be backed up. We had to wait a considerable amount of time for our food. That gave us more time to visit with our nephew whom we hadn't seen for a long time. I wish we had not forgotten to take pictures of the food since most reviews are a few years old and a lot changes in that amount of time.

We got sat in a booth immediately. The ambience is nice. It's a dimly lit elevated but casual place. You could go dressed up or you could go in jeans. The menus is smaller but offers steaks, chicken, fish and lamb. We got two appetizers, one entrée, one dessert, and four drinks. Let's talk about it. Cocktails- 10/10 I had the Velvet Veil & my husband had the Peach Blush. They were so good that we had a second round. They have few other unique cocktails and a large beer and alcohol list. Tuna tartare- 10/10. It comes with wonton chips and honestly, you don't even need them. The tartare by itself is so delicious. We will go back just for this and a cocktail. Lobster bisque- 8/10 a bit spicy which seemed odd but good lobster flavor For our main, we split the lamb chops with a side of fried Brussels and also mashed potatoes. Lamb chops- 10/10 there were 6 chops so we each got 3. They were drizzled with a beautiful mint sauce and a sweet demi glaze, not too sweet. Garlic whipped potatoes- 10/10 you gotta like garlic and chives. But it isn't overwhelming. Brussels-10/10. They were on the sweeter side too and some of the best I have ever had. Bread pudding- 10/10. We have a hard time fining a bread pudding without bananas or raisins, as we don't like them, and this one does not have them. Simple and delicious! Overall we really enjoyed it. We felt like we got an elevated steakhouse experience without spending a ton of money. The prices are fair, the wait staff is wonderful, the ambience is perfect. We will definitely be going back.

The other beginning with a C with Hit and Miss service and then you have here which most of my visits as well as my co-workers have always had nothing but raving talkatives about this establishment. The ambience is wonderful and here is where you want to take a date. From the almost Edison type lights that are on top to the brick wall with a nice historical accent and the ceiling tile of decorative nature. I've tried the hamburger here as well as well as the eggs benedict and they have been on spot. The hamburger is not fried on the grill you can actually taste the charness on it from a grill and the yolks on the egg to Benedict is not overcooked it has that nice runny yolk that we all like and a buttery dream hollandaise sauce that's hard to beat. Price is medium to medium high but look at the ambience of this place you will not get too much of that in this small town enjoy it while you are here. Parking might be a little challenging at peak times because you are parking on the street. When you are tired of the mediocre to bad service as well as the food at the other Steakhouse come over here and find yourself not being disappointed. This is coming from my point of view as well as about four other co-workers that have been to both places. The first thing I wanna say is that I really want our local business ventures to succeed. With that…read moresaid... I must be honest about our first experience at Watson's chophouse on third. To overshadow everything... I do need to say that Megan our server was absolutely incredible even after a very difficult day where we found out she had worked almost 12 hours on New Year's Eve day. Now to the review. We arrived 30 minutes early for our 8 PM reservation with hopes of being able to listen to a cellist that had been advertised on Facebook for New Year's Eve. He was to be there until about 8:30. When we arrived, the cellist was not there. Really... No big deal. We asked the maître D if we could sit at the bar while we waited for our reservation and he said that he would have to clear off a couple of spots at the bar then we could. Well, he was so busy clearing tables instead of being able to check people in and take care of the needs of people upfront that that never happened and someone walked in talked to the bartender and they went up and took our seats. Again... Not a dealbreaker. We waited until 8:30 before we were seated, and during that time, the restaurant had about a third of the tables empty. The line was out the door and people were getting a little contentious. We hardly saw the maître D and was unable to ask him questions because he was bussing tables which I believe should've been someone else's job. I realize people call in on special days like that because they don't want to work and possibly that's what happened because they were obviously shorthanded. The place seemed to be in utter confusion amongst the staff. I would have expected someone who seemed to be the owner or manager to come out and take control and that never happened. No one seemed to be in control. We were never approached the entire evening at our table by a manager or anyone that even resembled one. Now onto the experience at the table. As I said before... Megan was incredible and was running her legs off. We started off with an iced tea and an old-fashioned which by the way was one of the best old fashions I've ever had. She made sure we had plenty of bread, etc. while we waited for our food. We had ordered shrimp cocktail, which we never got, and when I kindly told her not to worry about it when our food was brought to the table, I think she threw herself under the bus by saying that she had forgotten to turn the order in. I think that screwup was in the kitchen. Listen folks... We're not picky people, but when I go into a place and I'm paying $90 for a steak I really think there should be perfection all the way around. The baked potatoes were very good, but I think the asparagus was overcooked and charred to the point where they tasted burnt. The star of the show which was a $90 porterhouse table steak was a complete disappointment. We love our steaks, medium rare. A medium rare steak should have a little bit of juice and blood on the plate. This was not the case with this one. It was medium to the point of almost medium well. The only reason we didn't send it back was our server had been running her legs off and we were not about to do that to her 30 minutes after they were supposed to be closed. So... We didn't say anything. I just think there should've been someone in charge and it just didn't seem like that was the case at least out in the dining area. Again... If you are understaffed in a restaurant that small, especially on a holiday night, it should be obvious that someone in charge is jumping in to fill the gap and we did not see that. Sorry guys, but we'll probably not be back. I just don't have a lot of grace when I pay $90 for a steak and have that kind of experience. Texas de Brazil and Bull In The Alley will continue to be our go to's. Really disappointed cause I thought we would be able to get a really good steak at home.

The birthday part was fun because they served ice cream with a sparkler lit in it, which is way more fun than a regular free dessert or someone singing to our table. Nice touch! Truffle fries appetizer is the best. I order this wherever possible around Tulsa, and this was one of the better ones! Filet mignon was done well. If you like garlic, add the double garlic toum, which is basically puréed garlic to add on the steak. Mac and cheese was just ok. Whipped potato gratin was different and tasty. I wish they had crispy brussel sprouts for a side like other steakhouses. Iceberg wedge salad was good, but they only had one cheese substitute if you don't like blue cheese. I asked for ranch instead and it was good. We tried to change our reservation on a Wednesday night to push it back by 30 minutes due to work urgencies, and they showed no availability online, yet we didn't see more than two other parties there the entire time. They need to work out their online system better as this isn't an issue with other restaurants. Definitely worth a try, and I would go back.

The hustle and bustle of Friday night dinner plans hadn't started yet and there was plenty of seating. We were seated and there were crumbs on our "clean" table. We were moved and the floor under that table was sticky. Our server, who never introduced themselves, came and took our drink and appetizer order. Our sodas came out flat. The server didn't charge us and replaced them with waters. Our appetizer eventually arrived, the spinach, artichoke dip. The parmesan on top was not melted, we removed it like a sheet of paper. We told our server, who said, "oh yeah, I should've told you that it is better when you take it home and microwave it to really melt the cheese then it's really good". Even if we did enjoy the spinach dip, which we did not, there aren't enough pita chips to eat the entire appetizer. Those would be an additional charge. During the appetizer conversation, I did put my empty water glass to their side of the table to make a refill more simple. They started to walk away without even realizing the nonverbal gesture I made as to not interrupt our conversation. I verbally asked for more water and they forgot about it. I did witness the "ah-ha" moment when they remembered they had forgotten. My wife's grilled salmon had no real flavor, sitting on top of a basic bed of rice. Her tabouli was lacking. I can't forget to mention that when her side salad arrived, the food runner simply asked, "is this yours?" It was slightly off-putting. I never thought about my dining experience being altered by the food runner, but "side salad with ranch" versus "is this yours" is a minor detail that can apparently affect the experience. The server didn't come by as often as I felt they should. They did their verbal checks with the appetizer and the meal, but didn't see them do any walk by checks, until I asked for the bill. My burger was nothing to write home about, but it was good. The fries were undercooked and the thousand island dressing tasted like Kraft dressing. I ate half my burger and my wife ate a small portion of her salmon. We paid 60$ for food we barely touched and we took none of it home. I would rather pay 60$ at Chili's or Texas Roadhouse. We take those leftovers home. I would like to say that I would give Bison another chance, but that won't be the case. Too many mishaps on this visit to make us want to return. My wife was very tempted to talk to the manager, but I was more ready to just pay the check, leave, and take this experience as a sign to never return.

I was sitting at a table close to the bar and watched a woman accidentally spill her drink while sitting there with her friend. It really was not a huge deal, especially considering there were maybe only one or two other people at the bar at the time. But the way the staff handled it afterward was unbelievably unprofessional. The bartender brought back what looked like a half full replacement drink and made a rude comment about her spilling the rest. After that, the women were mostly ignored while employees behind the bar laughed, took shots, and very obviously mocked the situation. Not to be a stickler, but I also do not think it is the best look for employees to be openly taking shots while simultaneously being extremely rude to customers and what appeared to be intentionally ignoring the two women after a small spill. Later, another employee came over and made another comment about the spill before they were brought their check. The women looked embarrassed and upset and left shortly after. It was genuinely uncomfortable to watch. There is a huge difference between joking around and humiliating customers, and the staff completely crossed the line tonight.
