When I first started asking for rough estimates over the phone I could not believe it was hundreds of dollars for a basic cleaning. If you guys are in a similar situation it is what it is. I tried cleaning puppy pee stains off my silk blend (several thousand dollar rug) myself and it discolored it and did not remove the stain. We had two choices buy a new rug (ouch!) Or cross our fingers and fork over lots of Benjamin's with no guarantee that the stains will be removed. When I called carpet cleaning star and began asking 21 questions, Asher looked at some pics of my rug and came over the same day for an estimate. He's very personable and very knowledgable. he knew our rug was hand stitched and informed us that our rug like many nice rugs go up in value, like art. Although we thought it was a lot of money, because no carpet cleaning business ever wants to 100% guarantee that it will look brand new and stains will be gone, we agreed and paid the deposit. After 10 business days like he said, he told us it was ready. He delivered and helped us place the rug back in its original spot, when he unrolled the rug it looked brand new again. Huge sigh of relief especially when living with a perfectionist. After seeing our rug look brand new again we were happy that we went with this business instead of someone else that may have charged us a bit less and would have cut corners.

I was really impressed with NuAge. The technician (whose name escapes me unfortunately but I think…read moreit was Mario) was very friendly and knowledgable. My TV is hung perfectly in my bedroom and all the wires are completely hidden. He even went the extra mile to organize/hide other cables. I had a ball of wires sticking out of my wall left behind from the prior owners of my unit but now I'm left with a single wire peeking out -- it looks really neat and tidy. On top of that, he even helped me get a very old A/V receiver hooked up to my surround sound system, something I'd been struggling to do for years. I will definitely be recommending NuAge to others, and will use them again in the future. Given the pricing and the quality of work, I couldn't be happier.

I thought otherwise and, as I didn't want to have to replace the washer & dryer (most of the stacked units on the market today are built like crap), looked for someone else. After reading reviews here on yelp I called 1-Hour Appliance Repair. He arrived fast and on time, knew what he was talking about, earnestly wanted to help me and never tried to spend my money by pushing me to do anything i didn't want to. He also fixed my unfixable* dryer within 3 hours, which is now purring like a kitten -making me a very happy camper. I saw one or two reviews complaining what they were charged or quoted- as if 1HA would try to cheat them. Let me tell you something- anyone who complains about their price doesn't understand value. He may not be the cheapest repair person per hour, but he's more than worth it. You simply can't get better than Ozzie. *The issue had nothing to do with the part the first guy thought was needed (it was a heat sensor fuse, not the timer).

In no way did I cancel on him, that's a complete lie. I only found somebody days later on Task Rabbit, after he failed to show up or respond. I called another company that was also recommended to me and a technician within 10 minutes found the problem to be a $240 capacitor, which was changed in less than a half an hour and I had air again!! I can't imagine a company trying to rip off somebody buy so much money and completely miss diagnosing, a simple problem and trying and turning it into a huge disaster! I would never recommend this company. They are completely dishonest or maybe it was just the person they sent here.
