I waited for about two minutes then was seated at the chair where Taryn asked me about what I wanted. I showed her pictures for reference and she gave me her input. After consulting, she got to work! We did a red balayage, cut & blow dry. See video for hair transformation!! They made sure I felt comfortable every step of the way and in the end I loved my results!! Price is average. I paid about $400 with tip. Great salon to get your hair transformed!

Unprofessional. My "stylist" Patricia after 11 years decides she no longer wants to do my hair. I…read moretried to get an explanation as to why. She wouldn't answer my texts. She wouldn't see me in person. She called from the salon late in afternoon. It was very noisy in background and she was speaking FAST. I could only hear something about negativity. I have moderate to severe hearing loss coupled with severe tinnitus. She wouldn't let me say anything as she spoke so fast. I managed to ask her not to put words in my mouth, which she rejected and kept uttering words I could barely hear. I had wanted to originally speak to her about the color of my hair she did a full hilight on. There was no way she would speak to me. When I asked her if she would see me one last time, she said she didn't want to "touch my head" I have never complained about her in 11 years. I've been going to her every 7or 8 weeks consistently. I even wrote the owner of the salon Taryn. Her response back was only that she has the right to choose who she wants to service. I get that. She neglected to address that I couldn't hear/understand WHY?! Very unprofessional in my opinion. Thankfully I have found someone who actually gave my hair some style, nice color and way less expensive. I had no idea my type of hair could be styled in any other way than she had for all those years. My new stylist has 30 years of experience, so maybe that's what made the difference. This unprofessional "break up" was a blessing in disguise.

I finally found MY go-to salon! I got smart when we just moved to a different area of Miami and did…read moremy RESEARCH! I was looking for a salon that specializes in "Blonding" techniques. It so hard to get the right color for your look-modern, but natural. MOST importantly, minimize the damage! I have pretty long hair and it is important to me to maintain it. No shade, It's all about personal choice. I need to "do me" and be my best authentic self. I found a terrific stylist here IRENE! She listened to what I preferred, and made terrific suggestions. Her attention to detail and expert techniques plus a great eye for style are all you could hope for. Her energy is so upbeat and positive. The look and feel and movement of my hair is SO much improved! This is my follow up visit and it just keeps getting better and more healthy, bouncy and shiny. You will leave with a hair maintenance plan & looking goooooood. If you value your hair as your crowning glory and you are willing to invest a bit of time, energy and yes $$, this is your salon! Thanks for following me and happy beautiful 2026!

Florencia was very knowledgeable, detailed, and confident in her approach. She did a color strand test and took the time to explain everything clearly. In the end, I decided to hold off on the gray blending but I did get a haircut and I'm very happy with it. Florencia was polite, professional, and her cutting technique was spot on. I really appreciated how thorough and honest she was.

Can this woman be any cooler or more awesome? I always look forward to my haircuts with Annette!…read moreShe's incredibly kind, truly listens to what you have in mind, and is an absolute queen when it comes to short haircuts. She also recommends products that are actually good for your hair--and in my case, they've made a real difference. I found Annette right after having my daughter, when I was dealing with postpartum hair loss. I had really long hair at the time, and she gave me the perfect bob--a much-needed change that felt both refreshing and empowering. Beyond her skills, Annette has built an amazing team at Luxe. The salon has a fantastic ambiance, and I love that she continuously provides training for her staff to keep them learning and improving. Overall, every visit is a great experience. Highly recommend!

I recently visited Luxe for a haircut with Mel and unfortunately, the experience left a lot to be…read moredesired. The cut itself was decent--I'd give it a 6 out of 10. However, it felt a bit rushed and choppy, especially in the back, and not exactly in line with the alternative style I've worn for the past 20 years. What really made the experience uncomfortable, though, was the attitude of the stylist. From the beginning, her demeanor felt standoffish and dismissive. When my neurodivergent son asked if he could take a picture of me, she responded with a half-hearted, almost annoyed tone. Body language and tone matter--especially in a setting where people are vulnerable and trusting you with something as personal as their hair. At one point, when I was unsure about a style choice, she said something along the lines of, "Well, you tell me, I don't know you," and later added, "If it's too short, it's kind of your fault." These kinds of sarcastic remarks might be passed off as banter, but they didn't feel professional--especially when I was genuinely trying to communicate and collaborate on my haircut. To make matters worse, I overheard her making a dismissive comment about another client who had booked earlier in the week. It just added to a sense that she wasn't fully present or appreciative of her work. On the upside, Natalie, who washed my hair, was kind and engaging. She was one of the few highlights of the visit--warm, attentive, and clearly cared about what she was doing. The general vibe of the salon was a 5.5 out of 10. I had been told it was "Mimosa Saturdays" when I booked, but when I asked about drinks, no one mentioned it. I let it go, but it was another small way in which the experience didn't quite match expectations. Another point worth mentioning: the stylist had said she was going to do a dry cut, but instead used thinning shears on wet hair, which isn't quite the same. I've had true dry cuts before, and this didn't feel like one. She also left a lot of loose hair on my shirt and didn't even bother blow-drying the front--small details, but they add up. Haircuts are vulnerable moments. For many of us, especially those who choose alternative styles, it's more than just trimming ends--it's about expression, identity, and trust. I really hope this salon reflects on how they hold space for their clients. A little more mindfulness and professionalism would go a long way.

After a…read morequick trusty Yelping of close highest rated salons, I landed here at QOD, highly rated with happy pedi customer reviews and less than a mile away! Pros: They greeted me and took me immediately as a walk in--yay! Though they are primarily Spanish speaking and I am sadly not, there was no issue with language barrier for getting what I want. I feel well understood. They sat me and quickly found a good gel color match. Everything that makes a pretty gel pedi look is possible. But... Cons: No posh massage chairs or designated pedi area at all. The technician will place a plastic non electric tub of water under the manicure desk and work with your feet placed to her chair under the table. It 's a no frills not particularly indulgent gel pedi. She briefly utilized a regular manual foot file/emory board to soften feet a little, but I totally miss the efficient electric files I'm used to! Note: NO SHADE on QOD and my nice nail tech Carolina is meant by these comments! End result is adequate and the price is commensurate for West Kendall Miami. However, since I only get a gel pedi every couple of months or so, I really prefer more of a special "spa" experience. It wasn't particularly enjoyable or relaxing at all. And no chit chat, since I don't speak enough Spanish. They do get the job done and "nailed the look" (haha), but I prefer a particular experience: foot massage, special comfy chairs, electric jacuzzi foot tubs, etc. I'm very willing to pay more for the experience! If you are into the look of your pedicure only, then it's fine. Still, I paid over $50 for a no frills gel pedi. Next month I may try a Groupon for a new place, until I find a match for me. I had high hopes, but this just isn't it.
