We drove 45 mins to see Dr. Parada from broward and he didn't charge us for a consult and was very understanding and wanted to help us out. He's very knowledgeable, and explain what he thought was the highest priority of concern but not pushing us to have them done with his office like other dental places would. Which we appreciate so much, and his out of pocket prices were the most affordable compared to corporate dental offices. Even his team and receptionist Sabrina were all so helpful and welcoming. She helped us a lot providing options for financial assistance. Great team and exceptional care was provided to my sister. We will be coming back. They have 2 locations, in Kendall and South Miami. For us coming all the way from broward, the care we received and his prices, It was definitely worth the drive!

Hallandale office- charged my insurance 54 for oral evaluation on dec 11- I went in for a cleaning…read more paying $100 cash and have a receipt to that effect. I specifically requested to pay cash because my dental insurance is limited. I had to pull teeth just to get Myhalia to provide me with a receipt. I received multiple unwanted calls to confirm the same appointment. I visited this office 7 times within a six month period, so I interacted with them extensively. Asking for a bill breakdown I was meet with resistance and attitude. Then to find out that my in insurance was charged for an evaluation I was not made aware of after I paid cash for my cleaning and was giving a receipt to that effect is very disturbing and disappointing. I do not know what's going over there but buyer beware!

Prior to making the appointment, Jinelle - not sure if she's an assistant - advised me that I had to change my insurance primary doctor's name to this office so that I can have an appointment there. I followed her instructions, but it was going to take one month to apply (mind you, I needed this appointment sooner than later as I was paranoid about something with my teeth. Finally, one month later I asked Jinelle to help me schedule an appointment where she then told me that they do not take my insurance AT ALL. This came as a shock to me because I would think she would've done me the courtesy to let me know this ONE MONTH PRIOR, during our first initial contact. Supposedly it took affect this month, but I'm sure they knew beforehand this would be the case and were ever so CARELESS to say anything. Unfortunately, I've learned there's not a lot of courtesy or empathy with patients or potential ones from doctors or nurses these days. Which is unfortunate because it's the one main career path that should have it! But I guess all of you are the same, no matter how many good reviews you have. it's a true SHAME. Now, I have to wait another month to change my primary dentist to another dentist before I can finally check my teeth. It was only after I said I was planning to write a review is when they seemed to care about the situation and offered to see me. I have really high values, I don't like giving bad reviews unless I honestly really think there's something wrong morally or there might be something a business can learn for future/potential clients. I did not have an in office visit, but I'm glad I didn't make this my dentist office seeing as how cold and unresponsive I was treated. My initial dentist that does not take my new insurance offered to see me either way without me even having to ask, seeing as how they knew I needed an appointment and they wanted to help as much as they can!! I didn't have to be assertive, I didn't have to ask, I didn't have to say anything about reviews.... they simply offered their services and tried to help me either way. I obviously wanted to find an alternative dentist that did take My insurance which is why I had to look elsewhere. But you should offer solutions to patients or be more caring when there is no solution - ESPECIALLY when they are following the instructions YOU initially gave them in the first place as per the writing above. Dr. Gomez is the new "root canal guy" lol and I trusted him immediately simply because he is apart of the Smile 4 Life family and if Dr. Q signs off on someone, I trust them. I have been going here for a few years now, but frankly the last visit left me baffled. I came into…read morea simple cap re-cement (which I had done several times with my dentist in NJ in minutes and at no cost) to the office trying to force me into an evaluation, extra unnecessary x-rays BEFORE the dentist even saw me. It is important to note that at the start of my visit they told me my visit was covered. However, when no X-rays were needed (they had done just a few months ago during my cleaning visit) then the office manager informed me they needed to charge me $100 but that they would submit the claim. Time passes and no claim was submitted. I had to call Delta Dental and they contacted dentist office. Today 9/16, I called the dentist because they did not even have the courtesy to inform me that the insurance claim was being processed or they received payment from insurance on 9/14. Lady on the phone, today 9/16, claimed that the original visit was an evaluation and she continually argue her point. I pointed out that the only reason for me making the appointment was to re-cement the cap. Nobody should switch the reason for my appt or switch costs on me in the middle of the appointment. Now I have to wait for the office manager to call me after an evaluation of how much money they should returned. Again, this was a 15 minute no charge visit with my old New Jersey Dentist. It is a shame that Smile4Life office can treat a patient who has been going to them in this manner. Truly a shame.
