The food was good and definitely did its job (no one left hungry or grumpy). Now, let's talk about the salsa. It wasn't bad... but it felt like it was holding back, like it had big dreams of greatness and just needed a little more spice to reach its full potential. The place is very small but the ambiance is very inviting.

I was greeted enthusiastically by a gentlemen and brought to a table. My other server was pretty much indifferent. He never came to check on me and even bringing me my entree, just dropped it off and never asked me if I needed anything or anything. I went with the chile Verde. It was okay. Good, but nothing great. Maybe it was an off night being a Sunday evening and my server was just not feeling it tonight. This is my second time in Columbus, Mississippi for business and the second Mexican restaurant I ate at in the area. The other restaurant was a better choice, but I am still glad that I came here (despite the service being poor). I guess overall I will give it three stars.

I also lived in Las Vegas, which has some pretty solid spots too--though let's be honest, San Diego still hits. I've tried a few Mexican restaurants around Mississippi, and honestly, they've been disappointing. But yo... Cinco Hermanos Taco Shop in West Point was giving me serious San Diego taco shop vibes. I walked in, took a bite, and all I could think was: YASSSS. The food was full of flavor and just hit the spot. I've officially found my new go-to Mexican spot. One thing I also appreciate about many of the Mexican restaurants here in Mississippi is that you're greeted with fresh tortilla chips, salsa, and beans as soon as you sit down. In a lot of places these days, you'd be paying extra for that. If you've been craving satisfying Mexican food, give Cinco Hermanos a try. I'll definitely be back.

It was soo good. Pro tip: it is incredibly messy to eat, I got. side plate and stacked them like an enchilada. Good food and good service. Definitely recommend.

I can officially say after two visits, this is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants ever!…read moreThey have a thinner tortilla chip (which is the style I prefer), and when they give you salsa they simply leave a bottle and an empty bowl for each person at the table. No more sharing/rationing your salsa, as here you get as much as you want in your own bowl. During my first visit, I believe I ordered dish #65, which was chicken with fajita veggies and mushrooms topped with cheese and served with rice, beans, and a salad. While I skipped the rice (not my thing), I devoured everything else on that plate. The veggies were fresh, the chicken well seasoned, the cheese was tasty, and the beans were very good. It was one of the best meals I had had from a Mexican restaurant in a long time. The second visit I ordered three street tacos, one carnitas, one al pastor, and one chicken. The chicken and carnitas were good, but the al pastor was to die for. So juicy, fresh, and hearty, next time I will be getting three of those. The corn tortillas you could tell were also homemade and it was just a great meal. Both visits I got margaritas, which for me were very good and reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend coming here for good food and drinks with your group. The service is great, the prices are good, and the experience is the best!
