Everything we get EVERY TIME we get it is always TOP NOTCH! The food is always amazing and great quality!

It was very disappointing to get inauthentic Mexican enchiladas and Spanish rice. It was put together with sauce over them for my husband's and mine with cheese sauce. It was hard corn tortillas for me to enjoy them. The shredded breast chicken was good but without any spices. read more

Solid! I wasn't sure if this place would measure up to the Mexican food spots we have in California, but it was good. We got the fiesta grilled fajita bowl--really good. Nice cheese sauce on top w good flavor. And we tried the enchiladas that were good as well. They give you chips & salsa right away. Good salsa. Friendly servers. Dessert was pretty nice as well. The xango was the best. The churros were also good--they're stuffed with cream I think. And the sopapilla wasn't the best; it was more of cinnamon chips than anything crazy. All of them had ice cream with them and it was nice. read more

This is one of our family's favorites. Los Amigos' authentic menu boasts "simple and fresh" and prepares its items with fresh produce and quality ingredients. Although it is not "fine upscale dining", you can always count on timely attentive service and good tasting food. The atmosphere, although average is pleasant, comfortable, and is family friendly. They can accommodate large parties and have a very large dining area in the back of the house. The cultural menu options are sizable and the a la carte menu can be very convenient. This is the real deal in this area! Kudos ¡Prestigio, la fama! Billy P. read more

Food is always great. Wonderful people with a great atmosphere. Food is the same each time you eat.

Great food, reasonable prices and excellent service. I would definitely come here again.

Amazing food every time we go. The service is fast and they have some of the best wait staff. We have tried almost everything on the menu and have never had an issue. read more

Just happened upon this gem of a Mexican restaurant off I-22 in Hamilton. The four of us had chicken fajitas, tamales, street tacos (chicken and al pastor) and a side of guacamole. Everything was very flavorful. The corn tortillas were delicious and not flimsy - they held together well - and four came with the fajitas. The guacamole was a generous portion for $5, and was as good as any I've had. The tamales were topped with an enchilada sauce that was very tasty. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The owner was a very nice man and took great pride in his business. Prices were excellent. If and when we pass this way again, we will definitely stop. We definitely recommend Los Amigos Mexican Grill. read more

Hidden gem in the small town of Hamilton, Alabama. The doning area is pleasant, though nothing fancy. The walls are festively painted in orange, yellow and green with inexpensive tables and booths decently spread out. Even more important now with COVID-19 happening. Prices are more than fair and the food is very good, you could even throw pin a few extra very's in the before statement. My only complaint is that the food took a bit to get out of the kitchen. Service was good, though. I would strongly recommend a visit to this small town restaurant. read more

I was a little skeptical about a 5 star Mexican restaurant in Alabama but we were pleasantly surprised. It's seat yourself ( or at least was when we arrived) Restaurant is very open and brightly decorated. We received our chips and salsa quickly. Drinks and cheese dip were a little slower . I think that was because of a birthday party. Dinner though was also a bit slower (I'm writing this as we sit here .... Waiting -.5) My husband got hisFiesta Fajita then 5 min later I got my street tacos. Food was very good. Bathroom needed a bit of work (-.5) but was fairly clean. Would recommend! read more

Food and service is amazing!! Stop in and give this place a try !!! You will not be disappointed, the staff will take great care of you!

What a wonderful surprise to find this great Mexican restaurant in a small north Alabama town a few minutes off I-22! Chips and salsa were very good. My husband had some salsa picosa which he really loved and asked the owner how to make it. I had the sincronizada Jalisco ( first under the quesadillas) and it was fabulous!! The different meats in it were seasoned and cooked to perfection. I've never had a dish quite like it. My husband had the California burrito with mixed meat and he said it was delicious. This is a gem for anyone that likes Mexican food. Prices are extremely reasonable and there is a wide variety to choose from. We would definitely stop here again if we are traveling that way. read more

Best Mexican food in the city. Good service. Lots of room. I wouldn't eat anywhere else in town when it comes to Mexican food.

The waiters in this restaurant take way too long. I was waiting 40 minutes at my table just to get a drink.

I had the Pechuga Monterrey. Portion size was generous and taste was excellent. Side of refried beans and rice were good and complimented the entree. I would definitely order this in the future and recommend this location to others. read more

There aren't a lot of non-fast food options in Hamilton. Here in town for work with a coworker and we needed lunch. We both ordered the lunch fajitas with steak and chicken and were pleasantly satisfied. While not overwhelmingly delicious it was not a disappointment. Very typical in quality for Mexican-American restaurants. Even though we had an hour to burn we cut our lunch a little short because every table in the joint was filled. Clearly a chosen lunch spot among the locals... They do have a larger lunch menu than the majority of restaurants I've visited and the prices are great. read more

Service was good, the lunch menu was well priced and what we got came out of the kitchen quickly. The tacos were good, but the rice was a bit lacking. The salsa was great, but the chips weren't very fresh. Overall a good experience and I'll be back when I've got more time to sit and drink and enjoy dinnner. read more

Traveling for work and hotel attendant said she highly recommended this place. Said it was the best Mexican restaurant and that she is a Mexican Restaurant Food Snob. So I said hmmmm ok I eat Mexican all the time. I'll check this out. She was RIGHT! Exceptionally fresh and good. Not over seasoned with salt. Good fresh flavors, great margarita, very clean and attentive and professional staff. Will definitely visit again when traveling this way. read more

These people have been pumping out to-go orders throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. We have ordered from them often, and it's always hot, fresh, and correct. We even ordered a ton for Mother's Day and it was out promptly. Best Mexican restaurant in town. read more
