When I was about to order my food, the server asked if I wanted "wonton soup"... I'm Filipino, not Chinese. I'm not too sure if he was trying to be funny but I don't think he should be saying those comments to customers. Definitely not returning. I could find better quality food and service elsewhere. read more

It's time for a well deserved update. So much better than I remember. Solid service with genuine smiles. All was clean and no sticky anything. The food was...very good. Presentation was decent and the portions are generous. The big picture here for me is you're going out to have some well made Mexican food. And they have a great menu. You're in for a real treat. Very nice location/decor. Everything I got was absolutely perfect. Refried beans tasty, portions not too big or too small, chips right texture, salsa fresca fresh & not too spicy. "I" actually got to choose what type meat for the enchilada & whether I wanted the taco soft or crispy-now that's customer friendly! Fair price too as the combo also came w/a small fresh dressed salad. Staff helpful & friendly. Sure hope they keep their cook as whoever he/she is, can really cook excellent authentic Mexican food. My new go-to for a great Mexican meal. My only suggestion is if they could heat the plate they serve the food on as it keeps a meal from going cold. read more

Loved how quickly we received our order. Food was delicious, Everyone loved their plate a great place to bring the whole family as they was plenty of room. The only reason I can't give 5 stars is because our waitress didn't return to check in mid meal if we needed anything and also for the expired saladinas crackers, even if safe I think Mi Tierra should be on top of expiry dates just in case. First time customers. If a place can serve an excellent chile relleno, it definitely knows what it's doing and Mi Tierra gets high marks for that and its milanesa. Doña Maria serves the best "posole" in Salina's, but what truly sets it apart is the outstanding customer service. Maria treats everyone like family, and her children are wonderful. Where to start with this little disaster visit. 1) Service provided by gentlemen was pretty bad, not very friendly, didn't appear he wanted to be there etc. 2) Ordered Albondigas soup and was spoiled. Very bad, returned them. 3) Coffee was Luke warm 4) Restaurant was cold and had the AC on, asked and the response was it's always on in here. 5) Just will never come back and do not recommend, you been warned. Do not eat at this restaurant. This place does not deserve your money.This restaurant is not clean. Before ordering I was asked to leave because I have a service dog. My service dog Holly who was wear her service dog vest and her certification paperwork was in plain sight. This didn't seem to matter to the staff. I have never been refused service at a restaurant because my service dog especially have showing all my paperwork. I'm write this because I hope there staff learn from this experience and never does this again to some with a disability or medical condition. This weekend it worked out and it was everything I hoped it would be. Friendly staff, tasty food, fabulous salsa. One of the best Chile Rellenos I've ever had. Mexican food can be very subjective but this is my ideal. It goes on my Mount Mexicanfoodmore with El Caminito in Livermore and a couple of places in Bakersfield. Check this place out. They weren't your average covered in batter fish tacos either. No! These were fresh and juicy man! I got my order to go and it was nice talking to the owner while I waited. So I found this place on yelp and it was well worth it . I got the caldo de res which was bomb . I loved the juice in the soup so tasty omg . I highly recommend this soup of beef . The waitress was on point with service . Chips and salsa was pretty good as well . The place was clean and very homey . People here were very nice and treated us like family. . Stopped by here during a road trip. Had plans to try a different restaurant. But they were too busy. Good for us we tried this place. Great service and staff. I can't find say enough about their sea food platter. I ordered the 1/2 order for $20. Had every kind of seafood you would want. Fish,shrimp,crab mussels, octopus and scallops. Went for a early dinner today and restaurant was empty and so clean.. they have indoor and outdoor dining... server was awesome and very attentive, I think he's the owner as he's the one that has always served us when we've gone. Great little spot in downtown Salinas. Super lovely and friendly staff that supplied heat lamps while we enjoyed our meals outdoors. Food was delicious and we truly enjoyed everything.
