a plate of food

I wouldn't recommend this restaurant!!!! I order churrasco medium well. Was over cook hard as a rock. Order tostones that seem to had been fry hours ago extremely hard. The sweet plantains were over cook and super brown & greasy! White rice was ok... beans felt like they been from days ago. The sauce on steak is a heavy sauce very salty and unpleasant... They brought the food and no one ever came to ask if everything is ok or if we need it anything! Then I spoke to the owner to let him know how I felt and show him my steak how hard it was & also my tostones, he's answer was Custumor is always right... I told him If you want more buiesness you need to fix the problem. Is not about me been right or wrong I was trying to help him giving him my advise of my experience I left almost all food in my plate so then he ask Will I take it to go? No why would i take it to go when I didn't even ate it here.... Sad to say that he did not care of my opinion did not discount anything on my bill. But sure enough over charge me, when my bill came prices were more by $4 each, so I told him to fix prices.. he came back saying that the prices had change, so I told him to update he's prices on the menu. Even then he did not take off the extra 4$ on each plate. He doesn't care! So in that note I will let others know not to come here. Food is not fresh!!! owner doesn't care if you like the food and will pay more then what the actual menu saids! Shame on him ‍‍‍

Me and my family enjoyed our time here! Our waitress was very nice and fast. We had a bunch of food that tasted amazing and very affordable. The atmosphere is very energetic and dominican style. Being a Dominican myself this food is very authentic and very rich. Loved my time here and encourage others to try it as well.

I've never been disappointed by Mi Tierra! The food and service at this restaurant is always on point.

Food was good, service was also good but the music was extremely loud & extremely packed after 10PM with dancing over and around your tables. Not to mention that when you get there for dinner you must check your bill or they will tack on an admission fee for the music & dancing! we had our $30 per couple charge removed immediately! we were there for dinner not for the dancing on the tables!

So this place has some pretty great food, so i was pretty disappointed with this. Ordered chicken Alfredo pasta, it looked pretty good honestly. Yet it tasted nothing like it. There were different types of peppers in it and onions. I also ordered mozzarella sticks, they were better then the pasta, but still not that good. Instead of the marinera sauce that is meant to come with it, I received a mayonnaise and ketchup mixed type of sauce.

I added a little twist to my order since I didn't want the octopus and shrimp, so I substituted chicken instead. I paired it with a glass of Sangria, and honestly, it was one of the best Sangrias I've had in a while. My wife ordered the same dish but chose grilled chicken with a side of fried rice and tostones. This isn't your typical Spanish restaurant. It's a bit pricier, but the flavors are bold and thoughtfully crafted. The place itself is really nice--though I personally prefer a little more lighting. Overall, definitely give it a try. You'll enjoy it.

This is a great spot to quickly pick up lunch, or stay awhile and dine at one of their many tables…read more There is a lot of space here and even when there are other customers. It doesn't feel crowded. I've been to El Viejo Fred twice and both times did not disappoint. The first time I accompanied my Dominican friend who ordered for me. The second time I was on my own, but the ladies were very helpful and we made it happen. Most of the food is behind the counter in a covered buffet-style setup. You let them know what you are interested in, beef, chicken etc, and they'll show you the offerings. You can't beat their lunch special at around $12-15. You get a giant portion of rice & meat, add on a bit of salad and you're good to go! The food is so delicious, the flavors are all there. I also had the chicken and cheese empanadas as well as beef and both tasted great, I liked the beef best it was very well seasoned. Another bonus? Tamarind juice!! Not many places have it so I'm always ecstatic when I see it on a menu. Both my friend and I really enjoyed the food we purchased from El Viejo Fred, and the friendly service we received, we will definitely be back!
