I've been here a couple of times and I think they have great food, but it is a little inconsistent. They bring you chips and salsa as soon as you sit down. The salsa is a little on the tomato side, but it's good. The tacos are great, the guacamole is chunky, but good. The agua frescas are just okay. The service has been consistently very good! They also have a kids menu, so that's always a plus. I think this is a great place if you're looking for something quick and delicious. The service was good and Sherly was very friendly and helpful (she recommended the tortas so I went with the Pastor one). Torta tasted very good, and the bread was incredible! Soft and buttery but still held together well. Needed to eat a little quickly so it wouldn't get too soggy. Fries were pretty good too - well cooked, but could've used a little more salt. One issue was the hunk of cartilage or whatever that was that I bit into and hurt my tooth (wasn't quite hard enough to be bone, but close). Also the little strip of foil that I almost ate but saw just before biting into it wasn't a great look. Not sure cutting through foil is ideal... Man this place was great! We came to this side of town to go to the state fair but it started raining so we made a last minute decision to grab a bite to eat! We are so glad we did! Shirley was our server and she was very sweet and greeted us with a warm welcome helping with a high chair for our little one and all.. we settled in and ordered their house quest dip which was soooooo good! Then I got a large margarita for 11$! Like in the city it would've been 22$ let's be real.. so then we moved to entrees and the amount of food they give you for the price is just unbeatable! On top of the food and service being great .. the other guests were really nice and friendly especially with our chatty 18 month old the vibes were just homey and genuine. They were not very personable but the food was pretty good. I felt like the shrimp/seafood soup didn't really have much flavor but it was full of octopus, fish, veggies, and mussels. Not sure if it was a bad night or if the waitress forgot our order. Waited over and hour for tacos. They never came. Asked. We were told one minute. Nothing for another 15. Authentico! I love a little family-owned restaurant smack dab in the middle of nowhere. We were HANGRY when we arrived, and the service was so sweet and quick! We ordered queso fundido for an appetizer. I was expecting stringy, pully cheese like a typical queso fundido. This was more American "queso" consistency, which at first bothered me a bit. But the smokey, delicous chorizo really did me in. it tasted almost bacon-y! For a main, I ordered two tacos - one steak, one chorizo (I was hooked). They came with cilantro and white onion, just the way I love it. My mans got the quesadila, which was ooey-gooey with white cheese and steak. Overall - I'd come back out of my way for Mi Taco. Read your receipt! Their prices have not been updated on their menus. They give you your receipt hoping you will not read it. There is no sign up or message on menu that prices will be different. Prices varied anywhere from $2-$3 per item. Also, they are charging people 10% tax on food - the tax percent in Cobb County is 6%. This feels super scammy to me - I do not like how they are taking advantage of people. We brought this to the waitresses attention and she said the owner refuses to do anything about it - she was 100% clear on it happening. She gave us an employee discount to help, but still they are getting a lot more money out of people that do not notice this on their check. When the waitress called the manager on her cell, he was on speaker phone. He replied for her to do whatever to get us to leave - that wasn't very friendly in my opinion. They are in the wrong here. They need to correct their menu or give folks the heads up on prices being different than advertised. read more

I had the worse experience at this place. I went in after reading the reviews on here and I turned out to be a nightmare! The server had an attitude, so much so that she completely ruined a simple order of beans and rice w/ flour tortillas and 4 steak tacos! The beans were burnt and the tacos came on flour tortillas (instead of as a side) when I asked to fix the order she snatched the plate and was walked off. I will not be back!
