Two reviews, one for the signature facial, and one for the Xtreme lashes application. I am a fairly well-versed connoisseur of facials, and my skin was acting up. I had bumps that weren't pimples rising up on my jawline, and some rough skin from where I had tried to pick pimples (never a good idea). So I contacted Hidemi, and went in for my appointment; she conducted a quick assessment, and used some very gentle and relaxing (and pleasantly fragrant) products, ensuring my comfort every step of the way. When I was done, my skin looked a lot better, but it wasn't until the day after that I really noticed the results; my bumps had disappeared, by the end of the day almost all of the redness was gone, and my skin is still smooth from the experience. I was also very interested in the Xtreme lashes. Hidemi had put them on me before, and I had used the synthetic lashes, which felt OK, but a little heavier. I believe that I may have been a guinea pig for her new arrival of mink lashes, and while I pretty much slept through the appointment (which took a bit of time), she painstakingly attached a good number of the mink lash extensions, and by the time she was done, I looked in the mirror and couldn't believe how full they they were. And how natural they felt. Although there was not irritation with the original synthetic Xtreme lashes, the mink just feels and looks absolutely thicker and lighter, so it is well worth whatever extra you are paying for it. Yes, it takes a little while, and yes, there is some upkeep, but the results are amazing. Not having to use mascara or eyeliner? These mornings, I would say it is priceless. Hidemi is a wonderful esthetician! She pays close attention to your wants and delivers exactly what you ask for. She has a keen eye for little details. Hidemi is THE BEST!!!! Facials, wax, makeup: there is no one better. Period. I have travelled all over the world and been to some of the top spas in many countries, only to find the best aesthetician in my hometown! A friend recommended her last year, and I have been seeing her for a few months now, regularly. She TRANSFORMED my skin!!!!! I am eternally grateful. Before I met Hidemi, for some reason my skin started breaking out terribly. It was so bad I was starting to get embarrassed. I was using "the best" products, but nothing was working. I wasn't the type of person who went for a facial every month (maybe once or twice a year, because I was so busy), but I would take care of my skin (or so I thought). Meeting Hidemi changed my view of skincare products, facials and makeup. Hidemi is one of the kindest, gentlest, most knowledgeable aestheticians I have ever met. Although she has a detailed menu for facials to choose from, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you just let her do her magic. Now, I just show up and let her do whatever she thinks I need. I look forward to seeing her and I love the way my skin looks and feels afterwards. Incredibly, I can have a facial and go out for dinner and everyone will tell me I am "glowing" or that I "look so healthy." My skin is super sensitive, and with every other facial I had before Hidemi, my skin would be too red to go out afterwards, but she is so gentle that you can walk out immediately after and do whatever you want. My skin has never been better in all my life. I am DEVOTED to Hidemi and to Eve Taylor products. My sensitive skin LOVES the products. I even started using the body products recently. They smell amazing, but are not overpowering, they are super effective, and they are literally half the price of what I was using before, but with twice the results! Oh, and my husband likes the smell too ;) Hidemi is also a "master waxer." She uses the best waxes and is absolutely meticulous. Hidemi also converted me to Jane Iredale makeup, which is by far the best makeup I have ever used (and I have used a lot of the very best, most expensive brands). After a few months, I asked Hidemi for a makeup lesson, and it is the best choice I ever made. I love the mineral makeup, and I am now a pro at creating any kind of look on my own. I like a natural look for daytime, and Hidemi helped me perfect my technique. I have received tons of compliments on how good I look, but no one can figure out what I am doing differently. Hidemi is an expert who really knows skin and how to cafe for it properly! tweeting her for the first time at the recommendation of my mother a few days before my wedding! Hidemi restored my travel worn skin with a good prescription for care thru to my wedding day, notably, I usually am very red after facials, and as a result will only go to one beautician who knows now to 'calm' my skin. Hidemi notes to his instantly and and I walked out of her treatment room evenly completed with the most beautiful glow. I, personally, have never had a facial and didn't know what to expect. But from the moment I met Hidemi, I knew that I had come to the right place! Her knowledge of skin and care its individuality were a paramount focus of our meeting,and she spent the time getting to know my personal routines. She explained why my skin was reacting certain ways and things I could do to alleviate my problem areas.
