Surprisingly good. I have spent over 12 years looking for a good Mexican restaurant. Over the years the ones I liked seemed to go down hill. I never been to Mi Ranchito, so this was a first. I had heard it was a favorite of one of my friends. I was skeptical but after my meal, that was more than I could finish, I was delighted. Gave Mi Ranchito a try. It was excellent. Service was great, our server was Vivian - she did a great job and was extremely personable. Food was excellent and the overall atmosphere was very nice. They start out with a bowl of chips and two types of sauce. We got a couple of combination plates. Like the variety that you get. Got a #3 which had a ground beef enchilada, cheese enchilada and chicken enchilada (sorry no picture) and a #7 which had a pork tamale, pork burrito and a deep fried barbacoa beef taco (see picture). Lots of meat in all items, especially the tamale. Of course, both combinations included beans and rice. It also had some sort of cord fritter type things that was extremely tasty. Servings were good size, especially considering that the combination plates were around $12. Wound up taking food home. Everything was very good. Although I have to say the deep fried barbacoa beef taco was outstanding. Would try a different combination next time but need to pick one with that taco. read more

We went to this location for a group dinner so we pre-ordered from a small selection of 2 choices. The items were in large catering dishes and placed on a table with no serving utensils, plates or napkins. Once everything was hurriedly brought out people gathered to help themselves to whatever (no matter what they preordered because it was all together). I normally would care but have an allergy and didn't want utensils or any food to be co-mingled. Then a server took our drink orders which then arrived after people were halfway through their meal. Oooof. Have been to Mi Ranchito's other locations many times and, trying this one for the first time myself, didn't know an experience here could be as bad as today's was. Had to ask three times to get lemon wedges for our waters, which repeatedly sat in need of refills for 10+ minutes. Took 30+ minutes to get our entrees, after which our espinaca dip appetizers finally arrived. To top it all off, two orders of cream cheese enchiladas arrived looking wildly different, and mine landed on the table cold. All in all a very frustrating experience. Hubs had a similar experience with very slow service here last week. I am not sure we will be back to this location. read more

The food was pretty good. The salsa was nice and fresh and the chips were hot when we got them. We ordered espinaca queso, the chicken quesadilla appetizer, and a burrito feliz. Queso: It was honestly wayyy spicier than I expected. I wasn't able to eat very much of it. Also, there's a TON of spinach in it! Not a bad thing but just something to note. It was a fairly large bowl, too. We got a side of rice with it which was unfortunately really dry and undercooked. It also had corn in it and came with green onions on top. Quesadillas: They come with chicken, cheese, onions, and peppers, as well as guac and pico de gallo. They were nice and hot and had a good amount of cheese. It came with 4 pieces total. Burrito feliz: It's HUGE! It doesn't come with sides, but does have lots of cheese. The ground beef inside was well-seasoned and there was a good amount of it. The pork came in much larger pieces than expected, which was kind of off-putting so we didn't like that bit very much. Overall, a nice meal with some leftover to eat at home. Also, our waitress was AMAZING??? Her name was Claudia and she was so kind and attentive, definitely one of the best I've ever had. The restaurant itself was a bit loud, but nothing crazy. The music was an okay volume too. Overall, I'd recommend trying Mi Ranchito! They have a pretty large and diverse menu at a fairly reasonable price point. The servers are really sweet, but the drinks take forever to come out. And when they do come out, they're made completely wrong. Tell me why i ordered a strawberry daiquiri the past three times i was here and every single time it was made with tequila. Idk who needs an Alcohol 101 book to get it through their brains but in case you didn't know a daiquiri is made with rum, and wait time is important when it comes to serving! read more

I think this place is under new management? Maybe, maybe not. It was known for fast and attentive service, but it seem thats has slipped. Food was pretty disgusting, frankly. I feel like I can be that bold because 4 out of the 6 meals at our table were not finished because they weren't agood. Meat was dry and in some ways seemed bad. Both chicken and steak. Went early on a Saturday. There was plenty of space on the patio, which was great, as the weather was beautiful. We were seated right away. However, it took forever for us to be greeted. We asked for a drink menu, and she said she would bring it with waters. By that point, we had already been sitting for 10+ minutes. After 15, we flagged someone down and just ordered drinks. Throughout the whole night, the service was honestly awful. And SO slow. Our server wasn't even apologetic or anything. Another server that was training someone helped us most of the night. Also, I ordered TWO 20oz strawberry margaritas. They were delicious. But I swear the didn't even have tequila in them. Usually I'm buzzed after one small margarita, but I felt nada after drinking these. The food is amazing. But the service at this location sucks. We ordered a tortilla soup and 3 deep fried tacos and both dishes weee very mediocre. We were pretty disappointed. The taco shells were stale and the ground beef didn't have much flavor at all. The tortilla soup was also very bland and seemed like little care was put into their dishes. Service was just ok - but the food was pretty bad. We've been to other locations in town but we drove by this one on Friday night and noticed open patio seating. Order margaritas which were very large and pretty good. Service was nice and at times efficient but mostly on the slow side. I order the La Grande Chimichanga and it was just ok but pretty bland, served sliced like it was a wrap at a sandwich shop. The black beans needed to be drained and rinsed prior to being stuffed into a chimichanga as they just made the whole thing taste like fried black bean residue. Chips served with salsa were solid but definitely request the spicy salsa as it's much better. Price was very good for two meals and two margaritas. I'd go back to try something else. read more

Also the salsa was not the taste I remember, pretty much tasteless. 2nd we ordered the Bravo Burrito which was 80% tortilla and MAYBE 20% filling. My chicken fajita burrito (with rice, choice of beans, and salad) was reasonably priced at $9.75 ($8.75 on the weekday lunch menu) and included complimentary thin and crispy chips with mild and chunky salsa. The burrito was very generously sized, with plenty of premium white chicken chunks, fajita veggies, and a cheesy enchilada topping, while the sides were nicely sized, and tasty. I liked the clean and well divided dining areas with plenty of TVs (but no background music), the nice and spacious patio area, and the full bar with happy hour (M-F 3-5 pm). The service was professional, fast, and attentive (chips and salsa immediately, refills when needed, entree ten minutes later, and a check-in from the manager). Very nice! read more

Worst experience ever! The waitress was really slow and didn't seem to be able to answer simple menu questions, but whatever they were a little busy, and maybe she was new or something. However, my family's food was made correctly, but mine was not. As my food was delivered to the table the waitress immediately told them mine was wrong, they said ok and went back to fix it, when they brought it out a second time it was still wrong. I don't normally like having food sent back because I don't trust it, but it was covered in cheese and I can't eat cheese, or I just would have sucked it up and ate it, but I had no choice. When it was delivered a third time it seemed fairly decent, that is until I bit down onto something that felt sorta sharp and weird. I pulled out the piece of food from my mouth and stupidly swallowed the rest, which hurt going down. What I thought was maybe a piece of bone or something, but no, it was a piece of metal. It was about the size of a flattened staple. I have never had anything like that happen before so I was sort of freaked out. I told the waitress and showed her the metal. She took it from me and said she'd get the manager. The manager came over and nonchalantly said "I hear you have a problem with the food". I told her "I had a problem with there being sharp metal in my food". She acted like she didn't know what I was talking about, despite the waitress having taken the metal piece to show her. She replied in such a whatever attitude and tone, "ok, sorry. Do you want me to bring you another plate?" I told her no, I was to scared to eat anything else from there. She still didn't seem to care, and was like "well I will just take your food off the bill", and just walked away. She never seemed concerned or really apologetic. It was like me being concerned about what just happened was some type of annoyance for her. I wasn't rude; I didn't yell or cuss. Yet, she couldn't have cared less about the situation. The hostess seating us said 'enjoy your lunch' with as much enthusiasm as a dead snake. Then we sat, and sat, and sat, with no service at all. We left. I was off for lunch and my puppy was in the car with me and I did not want to leave her in the car on a hot day. Mi Ranchito seemed like a great spot to sit and have lunch because they have a outside sitting area. They accommodated us so well and even brought my puppy some water which they went out of their way to do so and that shows a lot about a company. We were told 15 minute wait to be seated - 45 minutes later the manager is telling the host to add minutes to folks on wait list as kitchen backed up with pick up orders. Finally seated after 1 hour wait instead of promised 15 minutes. Ugh... Mi Ranchito--- what has happened to you? For years you were our "go-to" Mexican place. Great food, great service. In fact, we had been known to go more than once a week. We told friends to go there. We met friends there for dinner. We even bought the margarita mix to make at home once. Sadly, the last year has been less than stellar experiences. The food quality is still okay but inconsistent and favorite green salsa is only occasionally available but it's the service that has taken a steady decline. What used to be quick and courteous service... like drinks and chip and salsa within 5 min and entrees on the table within 10-15 minutes of ordering has gotten progressively worse. Tonight, we returned after a long break (thanks to Covid-19) and despite the restaurant being at half capacity, the service was sadly still awful. I ordered a house margarita (re:premade) and it still took 20 min and a reminder to get to the table. Dinner took an additional 30 minutes after we ordered and mine came out wrong... No apologies from the server. So disappointed to have to be in the search for a new "go-to" Mexican place. Two stars bc the food is okay and we'll do take out but u less you have 90 min for dinner, look elsewhere. read more

I used to really love this location but the customer service is really poor now. I've been a patron since since they first opened but no more. I called in an order and the person that took my order and was short and unfriendly after taking my order I said thank you sir and he hung the phone up - click. Ok Strike 1. My wife stopped by on her way home from work to pick up our order and the person at the take out counter took her money and returned to the back- I assume the kitchen and left her waiting. He returned five minutes later and pointed to a a bag of food that was sitting on the bar the entire time and stated "your food is right there". Didn't apologize or hell even hand her the bag. Strike 2 I called up to the store to speak to a manager after hearing about my wife's experience and they placed me on hold for over 10 minutes so needles to say it's a wrap for Mi Ranchito. Great experience all the way around. They have friendly service with a smile. All the servers pitched even through it wasn't their table. Our drinks, chips and salsa were never empty. They have a large menu with a lot of variety. The salsa tasted fresh, but not too spicy. I loved the flavor that the cilantro and green onion added. The chips were thin, crispy, lightly salted, and not greasy. The ingredients in the food tasted fresh. My burrito had big chunks of white juicy chicken, not fatty at all. My friends also enjoyed their crunchy chicken tacos and beef burritos. Now this place isn't really authentic but that's not what they are going for. What happened. The service was bad from the minute we sat down. Took a while for someone to come by the table with our chips and salsa. No green salsa. Again. Chip person said they ran out a few days ago. Guess they only make it once a week???????? Then we had to fag some down for a beverage order. Mind you, the place looked like it had more employees than customers. No management to be seen. They had to be hiding. When someone finally came to take our order, it took forever. We ordered the house margaritas. Nothing fancy. They make it in bulk. Had to ask a hostess where our server was, then we waited some more and then they finally showed with our beverages. To painful to go on. Had to ask for more chips, cause our dinner order took so long to come out of the kitchen. They never came. Dinner was good, when we finally go it. But we now had a sour taste in our mouth with all the shabby service. We never saw OUR waiter again. No one to say, is all good? can I get you anything else? We had to flag someone down for our check. Someone different, dropped it off. We asked for to-go containers twice. Never go the bag we asked for to carry the to-go out. This is a Tex-Mex restaurant that is slightly better than others in the area. Still nothing that blows me away. Been so long since I have had great Tex-Mex that I am starting to wonder if I have just lost the taste for it. But I digress...The salsa was very mild and had a powerful green onion flavor. Chips were great, light not oily and perfectly salted. I ordered the chicken burrito that was good. Chicken was seasoned and sliced into cubes then wrapped in a flour tortilla. Could have used a more seasoning or sauce. I did enjoy the black beans and poblano rice. Both seemed to be made in house. All in all this is a solid 3 star place. read more
