Loved eating here. Very very cite atmosphere. They put fans on you which is nice since you are sitting outside. We were at thr transition from breakfast to lunch. Since they were slow they said they would make us lunch but only a few items weren't available at the time becauze the tortilla lady was not in yet. We got drinks until lunch time came along which was 11am. We got the ceviche and we couldnt decide in shrimp or fish and the waiter said we will make a mix. So sweet. Then we got the Chicken enchilada mole sauce. So good! The mole was delicious. Not too sweet nor bland. Just holy mole good! We then came here for breakfast the next day and everything was amazing. From rancheros to chillequilas and the burrito. Its huge and totally sharable. Would love to try dinner sometime. Looked very crowded and had a live singer when we walked by. We had a lovely lunch here the first day we arrived in Loreto. What a great location jn el centro with views of the Mission. The service was very friendly. Great food! The service was a little slow, but we weren't in a hurry, and drinks came really quickly. My wife had chicken in mole, and it was out of the world great! I had a sampler tray with 4 different dishes- I liked 3 of the 4, and enjoyed trying the different dishes. The grilled steak was outstanding- so tasty! We were full, so did not try any deserts. The employees are very courteous. The decor is nice. Rather quirky. It's located on what used to be the Main Street by the church. The food? Our ceviche was on the warm side. It should always be served and kept cold. The guacamole good but . Orlando's is way better. The Chile leaves a lot to be desired. They have a bottled brand and a in house they said made habanero sauce. That's it? Isn't this Mexico? We have the fish ajo style. It was over cooked to the point of tasting like it was re cooked. The guacamole & chips were just as expected, fresh and perfect. The ladies loved their frozen strawberry margaritas but the clear winner, for me, was the Tamarindo margarita. Definitely going to do my best to replicate that back home. The layout/decor/whatever was open air, welcoming and lends itself for long stays of friends, drinking and eating. Our fave place to eat here! We ate here so many times over the week we were in Loreto. Loved the service, the ambiance and the food. Kind of tricky to find with the plaza remodel but the food is delicious and a great deal for what you get.

Nice outdoor seating under the trees after walking the city. Try their mango and coconut margaritas, they are delicious! Everything offered at this restaurant is fresh and homemade. The owner and his wife are very attentive and will try their best to make you feel at home. We were served a house appetizer with homemade salsas that was very tasty. They make an almond mole that is very tasty, the platano chile relleno was very good, a nice combination of sweet and salty. The steak was a little bit chewy and dry but tasty. This place is amazing! I've been travelling Mexico for close to 9 months and this place is the pinnacle of Mexican food for me. Most everyone has had Mexican food and dined at a Mexican restaurant or two or three....Mi Loreto is NOT one of those places. It's a Mexican restaurant unto itself and its own category. Yes, they have the standard Mexican food - enchiladas, rellenos, etc. But then they diverge. You can order a chili relleno stuffed with plantains or shrimp! You can order a huarache. Or how about a mushroom fajita? I have never seen any of those items on a US or Mexican menu. The menu is also filled with seafood options - shrimp, clams, fish. You can also order vegetarian or vegan, whichever suits you. We started off with a complimentary appetizer - it was amazeballs. The flavors worked well together and screamed authentic! Having heard of a huarache, but never had one, I gave it a go with meat. When it arrived, I thought "now, that's what I'm talkin' about." The masa was cooked through, the toppings of salsa verde, tomatoes, meat, onions and cheese were evenly distributed and fresh! I did have to add more salsa as I love sauces. I also had to bring home 1/2 as it was huge! My date had the relleno stuffed with shrimp and thought it was delish. The shrimp was cooked perfectly, no rubber taste here! I am not usually a fan of rellenos because of the sauce but this sauce I could have dipped chips in. It was a wonderful consistency of freshly made pasta sauce - you could see and taste the tomatoes and spices. No store-bought sauce here. The pepper was huge and bursting with shrimp. I'm coming back for the relleno stuffed with plantains and so should you! But, before I forget, let's talk marketing. All the plates and dishes had Mi Loreto on them - smart move! read more

Perhaps it was their bad day, but I was definitely underwhelmed. Fish with creamy spinach sauce and cheese . Skip that one . While my friend's fish Veracruz style was good, my dish was over cooked, very dry, and greasy from the cheese. The spinach was almost absent so what it felt like was one badly done tuna melt on a plate . Also, the restaurant did not seem too busy , but after being served our group was pretty much left alone , so drinks were left without refills after the initial pours.
