We visited January 1st the entire town was empty and only two places were open. The line for this spot was long and they were asking if people had reservations so we were nervous we would have to wait long. We only had to wait about 25 minutes for a table for 4. Everything we ate was delicious . It's nicely decorated. I had a shot of mezcal and hubby had mezcalita. We had quesadillas with carne asada as an appetizer. Enchiladas de mole, pulpo , and enchiladas de nogada.

Delicious! We went for lunch one day and the food was great. We caught fish, and brought it to Mi Loreto/, and they prepped it 3 ways. I feel bad that we didn't tip on what the cost would have been if we bought the fish there, because the wait staff did the same amount of work. We'll be back and remember to tip on the projected cost. Please throw in some extra pesos for me if you read this and have pesos to spare. Our favorite was this seasoned battered peep style for the fish. It's like a cumin curry beer batter: so yummy. ¡Muchos Gracias Mi Loreto!

We were able to make a reservation via Whatsapp prior to getting to Loreto. When we arrived to the restaurant on a Saturday evening, there were still plenty of tables for walk ins; however, it is a slower time in Loreto. We were greeted and sat right away, and our server came right over. He asked English or Spanish, so it was nice to have English speaking, as our Spanish isn't great. He asked us if we would like a complimentary appetizer, and of course we agreed. I cannot remember what exactly it was, but it was delicious. Don't turn it down! He helped me decide on a margarita, and also gave some food suggestions. The margarita was flavorful- a little sweet, so just one was enough. I had the Pescado Culichi for food, which was fish with a poblano sauce and topped with shrimp. It could have used a little more spice, but the fish and shrimp were each nice and tender. We ordered some tequila for our dessert. They bring the whole bottle of whatever you order, so you can see it. I thought that was a nice touch. Overall we enjoyed our experience. Service was great, and we loved the atmosphere. Maybe not my best meal in Loreto, but worth a try for sure!

We were here for a fishing trip and tried several restaurants during our stay. I have to say Mi Loreto was our favorite spot. The food was delicious . The service was great and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food. I had the fajitas and we all shared some chips and guacamole, which were fantastic. Oh, and the margaritas were pretty darn good. This place has a great vibe and is located in the plaza.

My camarones Al ajillo were amazingly good. The sauce was buttery and so flavorful. I asked for tortillas so I could mop up every bit of it possible. The iced tea was sweetened so we didn't finish it - I'm sure that is just a communication error on our part. My husband tried the 3 enchiladas each with a different sauce and loved the one with the mole' the best. He said the green was also very good but he just raved about the mole. It was a little sweet & not super dark as it is made with almond rather than peanut butter. Finally we had the corn pie for dessert which was amazing. Kind of like flan but with corn so not quite as creamy as flan. Service was excellent, helpful, and friendly from everyone. We will be back for certain. It is nice to have such a good option in the main square area.

We had a sensational dinner at Mi Loreto. The location was within walking distance of the sights and our table gave us a great view of the stone road leading to Mission of our Lady of Loreto. The chicken enchiladas and seafood relleno were delicious. If you have the time, it's a great stop.

I ordered chicken mole, I love spicy, but this wasn't hot enough for me. Though most Gringos will love this dish! There is ambiance here as well, as the mission bells ring on the hour, which is just across the street. Plus, people watching from many tables make this a great place to have a meal.

The pedestrian walkway in Loreto is a delightful place to spend time. Looking for a place for lunch we found Mi Loreto. It had a five star rating so we just had to try it out. The setting is delightful. A nice open air spot it with ample Sun cover and great air circulation. The service was good and the mostly male servers were friendly and made people feel welcome. The tortillas were very good. The menu was very limited, we assumed because it was lunch time. I had shrimp fajitas which could have had more shrimp and less peppers. The flavor however was very nice. My wife had the Sopa's which were an appetizer. They were good but lacked flavor. We found that Mexican restaurants in Mexico seem to use less spice than we find in the U.S. Overall, I didn't think this was a five star restaurant but the setting was great and we enjoyed the experience. We would go back again.

Very good food, good service. Family owned and operated. The restaurant is centrally in the middle of the historical district, right in front of the Jesuit church. The guacamole was excellent. I also loved my sopes with carnitas on top. All of the chips and tortillas were hand made, and you can taste the great flavor. This is the best place to eat in Loreto for the price and taste. Make sure you call to reserve, otherwise the wait could be an hour on a busy night. read more

This place is in the center of tourism around the mission in Loreto, and appears to be frequented mostly by tourists. (I did see a couple of people I assume are local stop by to pick up food to go.) Be sure to make a reservation as this place is popular for a reason. We had a yummy Chile relleno stuffed with plantains and pine nuts. Out of this world. Good selection of beer and margaritas look good. read more

This restaurant is right in the heart of the downtown area. We were welcomed by Edgardo. He and his family run the restaurant. This is probably the best mexican food I have ever eaten in my life! I savored each and every bite of my combination plate! Edgardo welcomed us with a free appetizer with our drinks. The strawberry margarita was delicious too! The restaurant is outdoors and decorated nicely. Just a great place to go! It is, however, a cash only restaurant (pesos or dollars). read more

Food was descent. Prices are way too high. They cater to the American and Canadian tourists(and the prices reflect that) If you want s place that is authentic and at a good price I would avoid try somewhere else. If you want the English feel in Mexico then this is your place. If you don't then you this is not your place. read more

We ate dinner here on a recommendation and were really thankful we listened. Their sea bass was truly wonderful. And the mole is yum yum yum. This place is run by a mom and pop couple and they do an excellent job. The atmosphere is pleasant and the service impeccable. You will not be disappointed. read more

The food is wonderful. Fresh, flavorful and authentic, yet creative. The mole is not to be missed. The meat was tender and the coconut drink was a hit as well. The service really pushed this up to 5 stars. Our server asked out our taste preferences and brought us some items to try. Everything was delicious! This was worth the long bus ride to town from the resort. We will be coming back often! read more

This place was amazing. It's in the center of town so easily accessible. The staff is so incredibly welcoming and speak both English and Spanish. Right as we sat we were given a free appetizer which was so good we actually ordered another one! They have all the great traditional foods and some with unique variations such as mole with almonds instead of chocolate or rellenos with plantains. In short, the location great, food delicious, and service outstanding. read more

The food is so good and the staff is so delightful here. We ate here more often than at any other place during our stay in Loretto. They really have a good thing going. The fresh tortillas are amazing! And they seem to put love into every aspect of the restaurant. It is family owned and operated. read more

Mi Loreto was an amazing dining experience. From the moment we walked in, the service, food, and drinks were all exceptional. The very cozy atmosphere with available ponchos for use on each chair just added to our enjoyment. We visited most restaurants in Loreto and can say that Mi Loreto was the best. Locals in Loreto agree with us as well. If your expecting a tex mex meal with guacamole and burritos then Mi Loreto isn't for you. This place is for those wanting a traditional Loretan experience. read more

Had dinner there last night. Very inviting and good atmosphere. Mango margaritas were good but too sweet for me! Corona would have hit the spot better. Nice free appetizer from the owner. Delicious food at the very enjoyable location. This is one of the nicer, more formal places at Loreto. Their drinks are huge. The free appetizer is a nice touch. As a vegan I do not find too many options in the main menu and there were several here. I ordered plantain chille relleno and it was wonderful. Shrimp fajitas were very good, mushroom fajitas were very fresh and light but a little bland. Make sure to ask for their habanero salsa and hand made tortillas to complete he meal. Definitely our top 3 places to eat at Loreto. read more

We agree with the many other positive reviews - a charming place, great food and service. Everything that came to our table was well-made and delicious, fresh fish, carne asada, Chile releno, enchiladas mole, the little sopa appetizers and some great margaritas. In a garden setting with lights set in the tree branches, if it gets cooler in the evening a blanket/poncho is over the back of your chair. Hospitable, friendly, brisk service. Yes, it is aimed at the tourists but locals eat here as well. Dinner for two with good portions, we were full, two rounds of margaritas, $50. read more

Excellent choice for our dinner. We had 19 of us in our group & they made us right at home from the very beginning. . Every dish we had was amazing & authentic. The meals are homemade & before we even sat down, they asked us if we had any allergies (which we did). They made each meal to match our needs. I had the Sea Bass with crusted garlic & butter. The best I've ever had!!! Everyone in our party was beyond pleased. The owners and the servers really go out of their way to meet your every need. They really understand good customer service. Mi Loreto is a highly recommendable dinner place. Great food choices come with an excellent service. The owner / or waiter explained the dishes well, and it started with a very tasty treat from the house (sopa) before we got the menu to read. We came back for the mole chicken and mole enchiladas which were different and better than what we had before as they are almond based. We recommended the place to others and they all regarded it as excellent. Nice atmosphere and nice and friendly staff. read more

Orlando's isn't huge and it doesn't look like much but it's well worth stopping by!

I also heard her coming up with prices in the back with her granddaughter. She asks you where you're from so she knows how much to charge you. She said she charges Italians more because they don't tip. I'm mexican and have never been scammed in mexico until I came here. Do yourself a favor and avoid!!

The mole chicken enchiladas were very good. The rice and beans they were served with were bland and flavorless. The cheesecake was very good. No Taco Tuesday on our visit. Don't order the brownie dessert. It's inedible. Dense in a bad way, little chocolate flavor, tastes more like flower paste. We couldn't eat it. They didn't take it off the bill. The drinks are excellent. They actually have alcohol in them unlike other places we've been to in Mexico. Beer is cold. Prices are similar to US prices. No happy hour. Servers are great. They have heaters on the patio. You have to tip in cash. They can't add it to the payment.

I had an amazing experience at Mi Loreto! From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel so welcome with their warm and attentive service. It's clear they truly care about their guests. The interior has such a cozy, authentic vibe that perfectly captures the charm of Loreto -- it's the kind of place where you instantly feel at home. The food was absolutely incredible. I ordered the enchiladas, and they were some of the best I've ever had -- perfectly seasoned and packed with flavor. Awful experience. We ordered eggs with machaca (not a big deal if you are a cook and know the process is very quick) I asked for a beer and a cold glass. They didn't bring it to me. Minutes later a table that arrived late got the food after us.. 40 minutes later no food. I canceled and when they checked in the kitchen I heard the waiter ask the cook of they had started the food and he was like "not yet" therefore I had to leave.
