Chips and salsa were tasty and always a good sign. The server was great and when I asked for spicy salsa he said it was normally for tacos but brought me some for my chips. Entree was Chile Verde Pork which was very good but I think with beef would have been great. About time I post about this place. Been going here since 2009!! Great staff, service and the food always comes out hot!! It is always crowded in weekends and margaritas Tuesday's! A lot of menu items and combos and you cannot go wrong. My recommended dish is the "Polo Feliz"! Steak or shrimp and cheese stuffed inside the chicken breast, fried like KFC, more cheese sauce with a side dish!! You have to try this place. You can't go wrong!! read more

We had a good experience here. It was a long day of home renovations and my father and I came in relatively late in the evening looking for some takeout. My dad needed a beer, and even though we were getting takeout, the staff was able to accommodate him and get him his beer in his frosted glass and all, so dad was very happy! We ordered an array of food to eat family style with the contractors back at the house. The food was solid! Everything I tried I enjoyed. The location is very convenient for us. While I have been here before, and felt like it was ok, nothing special, this last time was the worst. There was a black hair in one of our drinks. Our server told her it was her hair (she is gray headed), brought her another drink, but never apologized or anything, then charged her for both drinks. Probably wont make a return trip. read more

I called for takeout. I ordered the double chicken chimichangas dinner. They said it would take about 10 minutes. When I arrived the parking area was pretty full. I thought I would have a long wait. When I went in, all the tables were full. That tells you that a lot people like this restaurant as I do. Well my order was ready, plus I got a discount which they do every Tuesday. On a trip from Cincinnati to Memphis with the wife and my developmentally disabled brother-in-law, we hit Elizabethtown around lunchtime. Combo-plate Americanized Mexican places like Mi Jalisco usually fall into the not-very-large overlap in the Venn diagram of our varied dining interests, and Yelp had nice things to say about this one. As it turned out, Mi Jalisco must be in about in the top 1.5 percent of quantity-trumps-quality restaurants in the country. The quantity of food for the money--seven bucks for gigantic combo plates at lunchtime--was an incredible value in 2022. There's no getting around that. But this food was almost painfully bland. (Either that, or our tastebuds had stopped working simultaneously for about 35 minutes.) Chicken in a chicken taco tasted boiled, beans tasted almost totally unseasoned, guacamole in a "guacamole salad" (what is up with those things?) barely tasted like avocado (let alone anything else), and only the natural heat in a poblano pepper gave a chile relleno any kind of flavor. That said, everything (including the chips and salsa (also bland)) seemed fresh and piping hot, so that was good. And our servers were pleasant and quick. Actually, the food came out amazingly fast. Pretty disappointed with the price increase, wasn't a small one but rather significant. Our same meal we have always got went from being around $29 to $43. That is a drastic increase for the same quality of food.. also a $2.50 charge for tablespoon of sour cream is insane. But when it came out the "cheese sauce" was barely thicker water and the chorizo was in big chunks. I'm not sure if there was even cheese in it. This used to be our favorite Mexican restaurant. We would eat there at couple of time a month and many times once a week. We missed a few weeks as we were traveling so we were shocked the price increase. We always get the same thing and it used to be $27. On 10/25/24 it was $38. They charged us $2.50 for maybe a tablespoon of chopped fresh onion added on top of a burrito. We will not be going back. $11 increase is a bit extreme and the straw that broke the camels back was the $2.50 for a tiny bit of chopped onion. read more

Mi Jalisco, is an average Mexican restaurant with good service and an ok atmosphere, the food is just ok though, the chimichanga beef was unseasoned with very little peppers, onions, etc..., normally a beef chimichanga is made with shredded beef, slow cooked and tender, I'm not sure what they used but it was beef I think, not shredded but small diced, rice and beans where good, the wrap could have been crispier, but ok. I'm not sure what happened the night I went, whether they were playing a joke on us or if they purposely messed with our order because we asked for a special request. My daughter loves soup, but doesn't like mush. So we asked for the "Chicken Soup" with no avocado and the tortilla strips on the side. My food arrived after about a twenty minute wait and it was ok. But the soup hadn't come yet. Add on another 15 minutes, and here comes a waiter (not ours) looking like he is walking a tightrope at the circus. He was balancing a bowl on his tray and makes his way to our table, sets it down.... We look inside the bowl and it's a light yellow clear liquid. They really just brought a bowl of PLAIN CHICKEN BROTH to the table and he hustled off. There was NOTHING but plain, unseasoned broth. So we call the waiter back to the table and ask him why there was nothing I'm the soup, and he grabs the bowl to take it back. He returns with the bowl, and someone had thrown some shredded chicken in the same unseasoned CHICKEN BROTH. I was almost done with my meal because I had to let my daughter eat half of my food.
