My family and I came in for lunch over the weekend. We were able to call ahead and let them know our larger party was on the way. When we arrived we were sat very quickly. My sister frequents this location. The server recognized her and already knew what she wanted. As for the rest of us we were able to get drinks and get our order in very quickly. The food didn't take long at all for us to receive. We had 9 of us so that alone was impressive. All of our meals came out together, correct, and hot. I got the machaca chimichanga. It was very good. I was hungry so i couldn't tell you what everyone else ate. I dug in so quickly I almost forgot to take a picture of my food. My husband got the steak ranchero. I didn't hear anyone complain except for my daughter that complained her quesadilla was stuffed too full of stuff. Not really a complaint if you ask me. Their salsa was also very good. It had good flavor but wasn't spicy. They do have a spicy version if you ask. Personally I like to mix the two together. I'm from AZ where I'm able to get amazing Mexican food. I've found I generally don't prefer Mexican food on this side of the United States so I was extremely happy to find a local location with great food. The staff was all very pleasant. A gentleman came over and gave all the kids candy from his candy basket he was carrying around. I believe he was the owner. When we were finished our bills arrived quickly and correct. On our way out as we were waiting for the remainder of our party the candy man came over dancing. He grabbed my daughter's hand and started dancing with her. Everyone was so nice. 28FEB23 ~ Well, I had hoped that things were better since our last meal there. Sadly, they have not improved. The construction in the parking lot was completed but nothing else was better. The interior was almost dingy. The chairs were old, hard, worn, and uncomfortable. The tables were also old & worn. The service was marginally okay. My meal was not tasty at all. Again, this is near the bottom end of the Mexican restaurants I have eaten at previously and prices have increased. read more

The best Mexican food around no question! The only Mexican food that tastes and looks authentic! It takes them a little bit to get it to you, but it's worth it every time! This little roadside stop in a strip mall at Glencoe is a great value, lunch specials for 4-5 dollars, good salsa, good staff and a large menu!. Had a lunch combo of an enchilada and a tamale, with rice and beans and what appeared to be homemade tortillas. Others had a taco and enchilada combo, 3 people out the door for 20 bucks! read more

The absolute best Mexican food I have had outside of Mexico! The service is very good, the drinks are good and the prices are incredibly reasonable! This is a completely out of the way place for the Gadsden visitors but well worth the 10 min drive! There is smoking on the back patio, which is enclosed (a large dinning room is non-smoking), but even that isnt reason enough to not give this awesome hidden gem a try! read more

We walked in the restaurant and before we could even sit down and look at the menu the waitress was already asking us what we wanted to drink. The waitress was very rushed. So we told her we weren't ready and she walked off and got an attitude. Therefore we walked off and were going to another restaurant and she followed us out to our car and tried to bribe us with free drinks to stay. read more

The food is very mediocre, and is pretty much the same as you would expect at basic Mexican restaurants. Salsa is good. The owner (?) Is extremely friendly and makes you feel welcome. At some point during your lunch he brings around a basket of chocolate treats. I've not seen that anyplace else. The food is worth 3 stars but the host adds another star. Gadsden has several good Mexican restaurants, but Mi Casita is by far the best of the bunch. The food is excellent, I recommend the Chicken Flaming Cheese in particular, and the service is top notch. I also recommend their bar selections such as the margaritas and the peaches 'n' cream. read more

I had eaten here with a couple of friends last year and had one of the best Mexican meals ever. I'm from California and I know Mexican food. I finally had a chance to take my wife last week. I ordered a ribeye steak in a green onion mustard sauce. It came and looked and tasted like someone had poured a jar of mustard on it. No pretense of sauce, just straight mustard. I asked the waitress to take it to the kitchen and scrape the "sauce" off, she told me she didn't like that dish either and wondered why I couldn't scrape it off myself. She finally took it back and returned with it; it was still horrible and I relayed that information to her. She informed me that I had to pay for it even if I didn't eat it and didn't offer to replace it with something else. I told her I would pay for the meal, never return and let my friends know. She continued to berate me and jabber and I asked her to please leave me alone. She continued to jabber incessantly and I told my wife to try and enjoy the rest of her carnitas, if she could. I apologized to the nearby patrons and went outside. The owner, so friendly last visit, stayed in the background and let this nightmare go on. When my wife came out I told her I was sorry for the scene and asked how her lunch was. She said the carnitas were the blandest she'd ever had, and she's had some great ones. We moved on and visited some local friends who told us their last meals there had been poor quality. It used yo be a great place, now it's in the 7th circle of hell. read more

Food is always ok. They always overcharge. We waited for months and went back. 1/2 nacho, rice and a coke was $14.43. I'll never go back

Very disappointing. I hate to even give one star. First the water used in the sweet tea was awful. Don't know if it was city or well water. Whatever it was it had a terrible taste. I ordered the pollo ranchero. It came with two flat chicken patty things. Very unappetizing. I ate the rice and beans just because I was hungry. The tortilla chips were nothing special and the salsa was basically a tomato paste. read more
