This business makes some seriously good and authentic Mexican street taco's. My carne Asada…read more(Steak) and Al Pastor (pork) taco's were well made and ohhh sooo tasty. From the doubled up corn tortillas, to the tender well cooked meat, cilantro and their wonderful sautéed onions these Street style Taco's are as authentic as anything you would get in Mexico. The gratis house chips and Salsa were equally tasty and a nice complement to the Taco's all being washed down with a sugar cane based Mexican coke. The total bill came in at a very reasonable cost of $12 which is a great value in today's economy and a great deal by any standard. Relative to staff and facility, this appears to be a small family run business where the restaurant itself is located in a small strip mall at the corner of Franklin and Square Lake Rd with an equally small footprint for the restaurant. This is a very unpretentious business (think hole in a wall but in a nice way) with a limited number of dining tables and small staff. Having said that, I had no problem in getting seated and getting my order taken and food brought out in fairly quick order! I have been on a kick for a while now trying to find the best taco joint in the the northern Oakland county area and have to say this is as good as I have come across up to now and am a big fan of this business. If you are into well made authentic Mexican street taco's than this is a must visit for you. This was my first visit here and definately will not be my last where I will be combining this dining venue with my regular Bloomfield Hills Costco trips which is a Quarter mile from the restaurant.

They had music playing in Spanish, which I loved. They brought out homemade chips and salsa that was absolutely delicious. We ordered the chicken fajitas and the chicken flautas for dinner. After about 15 minutes, we got the sizzling plates. The food was so good! The rice was cooked to perfection, the beans were seasoned well and topped with cheese, all the toppings were cut up in a way to eat them easily. Overall, everything was fresh and tasty. It's our new favorite Mexican food spot. We can't wait to go back!

I'm gonna be totally honest, no restaurant has made me sick as many times as this place has. Don't…read moreget me wrong, the food is fine, albeit doesn't look very appetizing, but it's fine. The smashed beans are good and the enchiladas are very reliable and authentic, and I overall appreciate the effort and dedicated kinda vibe it gives off. Service is usually the same guy Every time I come in with my family, forgot his name but he's always been kind to us. Not an inherently bad restaurant overall. However, almost every single time I go to this place, I always get sick a week or less after. At first I didn't think much of it, and then it kept happening, and now it's not a coincidence anymore. I don't know what kind of germs go into making the food, and trust me I get it. I've worked in kitchens that have gotten away with a TON of stuff that the customers would revolt at if ever heard. But personally, it does make me quite nauseous thinking about how many plates have been served (not just mine) with dirty gloves. Something my grandma used to say was if you find one cockroach, thats an isolated incident. If you find one cockroach, and then found another, there's probably a lot more that you don't see. Just a thought. 2/5

Small interior with some seating, but I got my burrito to go. Staff was friendly and my food was ready within 15 minutes of ordering. The tortilla was so greasy. Costco pizza x10. Seriously; I had to use some napkins on the tortilla because it was just soaked in grease. Not great. I got the steak. It was very good. Tender; no chewy bites and pretty good flavor. Good portions throughout the burrito. That was the highlight along with the guac. A chunky guac done well. It was fresh and just what I was looking for. Unfortunately, half my burrito was lacking in sour cream and cheese to the point I thought they forgot about it. The second half had better portions of those items, but more cheese would've benefited this. Finally, the fries were a joke. No seasoning and no crunch provided for a very unmemorable bite. A shame. Perhaps this was an off day. Perhaps I ordered the wrong thing. It was fine, but nowhere near what I was expecting. I might try this again, but need some time before I do that. Very good steak and guac. Everything else was lacking.
