We had no idea that El Rodeo had changed to Mi Cancun until we called to place a large to go order. We decided to go ahead and try it under the new management. They took our order but didn't get our name, payment, or give us an order number. They told us that the order would be ready within 15 minutes and it was. I went inside to pick it up...we ordered chicken enchilada, fajitas, a chile relleno, 3 hard tacos, an ACC, an ACPC, and some queso. I know this was a big order and I was going to take it out of the bags to verify but the gentleman helping me went through the receipt with me and assured me that everything was there. I paid and went to may friends house. We're all sitting around the table and start passing out the food only to find out that the 3 hard tacos were missing. That was supposed to be my husbands meal. We called them to tell them we were missing the hard tacos, they said to come back and they would give them to us. So we went back. They did give us a free queso for our trouble but by the time we got back to the house, no one's food was hot or even warm anymore. The interior of the restaurant was really cute and the food was actually really good. I was just really disappointed that we had to go back to pick up something that they assured me was in the bag. I guess it's my fault, I should have taken the time to look myself on such a large order, even if it made me seem rude. I guess it being ready so quickly should have been an indication. I'm probably not going to return to this place unless someone else wants to meet here but I will definitely not recommend ordering take out. read more

Ordered here from Uber eats for the first time and was so pleasantly surprised! First - it only took about 10 minutes for it to be ready. Second - the guys at the front were sooo friendly. Third - omg the ACP Texano with shrimp, chicken, and steak was so tasty! The shrimp were huge, the queso has a nice flavor, and there was SO much food....and not just filler rice. Tons of meat, peppers, and onions, plus some bonus flour tortillas. I am uncomfortably full now but it was worth it. Will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu. read more

We had lunch there yesterday and shared the carnitas platter which is under the Los Favoritos section. $15.99 for a huge amount of food. Besides the absolutely melt in your mouth roast pork pieces. the meal came with rice, beans, tortillas, and guacamole salad. I like that the salad was served in a cute little taco shell, so the salad it didn't get all muddled in with the other items on the plate. The rice was the usual yellow Mexican restaurant rice, the beans were solid, and the salad was delicious. But oh, that pork--just the thought of it makes me want to return for another round. My only negative--I hate it when a waiter is tapping away at his phone instead of surveying the dining room looking to see if anyone needs anything. If you are at work, don't be on your cell phone. That is not what you are getting paid for. read more

I ordered take out. I ordered in person and wasn't there for more than 10 minutes. Drive home was less than five minutes. The beef tacos were super greasy and gross. The quesadilla was cold and slimy and the grill chicken was barely warm. Hardly any flavor. Horrible for almost $35.00 worth. El Rodeo was better than this. Save yourself the money and just go to Taco Bell. read more

My wife and I ordered different dishes, but both had an unpleasant, off taste. We were nauseous that night and throughout most of the next day. Needless to say, we will never be back. read more

We went to dinner at El Rodeo to be surprised it had changed names. I have to admit we were a bit nervous about what we would get but I have to say we were all pleasantly surprised. Service was perfect and our server Dani was very attentive. The chips were seasoned and so good. This has to be the first time we have ever had a manager walk around to check on us at this location to make sure everything was going good or to see if we needed anything. The margaritas we had were on point and very well made. The food was amazing and seasoned very well. The atmosphere was perfect as well as the lighting. I'm Cancun has a patio outside for dining complete with heaters and tiki torches. We will be back for dinner again as everything and everyone were all so nice from entry to when we left. read more

The food is delicious, and very well packed for takeout. We've been back three times in the last couple of months.

Portion sizes are small for the price. Food is okay, but almost $50 for two orders of tacos rice and beans and a drink is crazy.

I'm so sad that El Rodeo menu is now changed. The Cheese fried poblano entree no loner available. Food is way too salty

Tonight was the last time I will be ordering from Mi Cancun. I have had a problem with my order every time I have ordered from this restaurant. They will nickel and dime and charge extra for every small addition to your food (a "small side" of guacamole was the size of a small appetizer and cost me $7; you have to pay $2.50 for chips AND salsa if you want extra chips). Don't be fooled by the wonderful seasoning that they use, the overall quality of the food they put out is poor. I tolerated these issues until tonight, when the following occurred: I had a simple order, the directions were clear and listed on the kitchen receipt: no refried beans, corn tortillas. When I picked up my order, I had double refried beans and flour tortillas. I didn't realize until I drove the 15 minutes home. When I went back, the manager tried to give me a free chips and dip or drink while they remain it, or even a credit for future visit, but I held my ground and asked for a refund for that part of my meal, which he gave me. I was willing to let the whole incident go because of that, but as I was halfway through eating my tacos at home, I realized they were too full. I inspected them more closely, and based on the toppings, they had taken everything out of the flour tortillas, put it into corn tortillas, and added more fresh toppings to disguise the fact that they didn't use fresh ingredients. Not only did this mean my tacos were cold after a total of 45 minutes since I'd originally picked them up, but I am also intolerant of wheat and informed the manager at the restaurant that I could not eat the food because it had been on flour tortillas. The carelessness and laziness has been evident since the first time I ordered from there, but I will not be ordering again after this incident. If you loved El Rodeo, steer clear of Mi Cancun. If anyone knows where El Rodeo's staff went after the transition, I would love to go and support them! read more
