Stopped here heading up to Rainer and it was such a great choice. Nice big open space with parking in the back. Super friendly staff and extensive menu. My husband was thrilled to see they had a borrego (lamb) burrito and topped it off their mango salsa. He said that it was the best one he's had in a while. I was being basic and got carne asada fries and al pastor tacos. It was a bit greasy but if you're hung over it'll slap taco was pretty good and portions are so generous. This used to be one of my favorite places for a quick burrito. And oh so tasty. Sadly it hasn't satisfied my tastes as it used to. Burritos are smaller and fries not as crispy. Meal flavor are bland. And prices have gone way up. What happened to the $6 burrito. I don't blame them for pricing. I know every business is struggling these days. But a small beef, bean and cheese burrito for $10? on the other hand service is great and the place has lots of seating and clean. And the salsas are delicious. Rice, Refried Beans, and Enchiladas (3.5/5): Pretty normal and decent. Nothing amazing, but good and reliable. Service: The staff member helping us seemed new, but she was patient, kind, and very helpful. Ambiance: Smaller dining area with both regular tables and booth-style seating. A little tight, but still comfortable. There's a water jug, condiments, and metal utensils available for easy self-service, and you bus your own table when you're done. Ordered the mi burrito, only $11 with rice added. Great price and pretty decent size. I had very high hopes as the burrito was HOT! Fresh off the plancha. However those hopes died as soon as I felt how loose the burrito was. It fell apart in 4 bites and I had to use a knife and fork. Okay firstly, asada was piping hot. Expect the asada was cooked with bell peppers. I didn't ask for that nor was it noted on the burrito ingredients. Secondly, the asada had zero flavor! No salt at all! It was tender, yes! But ZERO FLAVOR. And all my 4 bites were all steak with a lil bit of rice. Once the burrito fell apart, the beans were on the bottom with the guac sauce, rice and poblano above that. What kind of burrito structure is that?! Anyway the beans tasted good! The rice wasn't mushy. The salsa were mild at best (in terms of flavor). I needed limes to give it flavor tbh. If I could give zero stars I would. I went here a couple days ago with my daughter and got horrible service from the management. I expressed my daughter's allergy and they made her food wrong, blamed me and told me they wouldn't remake her plate. I spoke to another person who worked there which I'm assuming was the head manager and they insisted I didn't let them know about her allergy and it was my fault. I was frustrated as I paid for a plate my daughter couldn't eat, just ended up leaving. We had a great time here! This local spot offered plenty of indoor and outdoor seating - of course we chose inside in cool air condition to get out of the Portland heat!)! There were tons of food options, but I finally settled on tacos so I could try as many things as possible (lamb, steak fajitas, and tongue), and they were stuffed with meat. I added salsas and fresh radish and lime, abd they were so filling and tasty. The side of salsa and chips for $5 was also a great deal as the salsa was a huge cup of fresh tomatoes, onions, and cilantro. Added such bright flavors and tetures to my tacos and husband's burrito. My only complaint was comparatively speaking their burritos are on the small side - if you're looking for a giant one i'd probably go with La Bonita or something like that and pay a couple bucks more! Got a few tacos to try- asada, mi taco, lengua, tripa, pastor, and cabeza and all of them were amazing I had one bite of the pastor and thought maybe this could be my favorite taco place in Portland. After eating the rest, it has been confirmed these are the best tacos I've had in the PNW. I grew up in socal and I always compare tacos to those from my favorite taco truck and nothing has been able to match up until these beautiful bundles of yumminess! Someone catering for a work event got all my coworkers and my BF addicted to their chicken tacos. My BF hates tacos, but he loves these. No better advertising than that! Usual street parking in one of the many Portland neighborhoods maybe 4 or 5 miles from the airport. Lots of Spanish speakers coming in for food which is very encouraging. I asked them for a bean and cheese burrito and two chicken burritos but they ended up handing me a bean and cheese burrito and two chicken tacos. My BF enjoyed them, but it would have been nice to try something new. The bean and cheese was excellent for only $6.75. It had a nice spicy kick to it to liven up the lack of ingredients.
