Only went there once so far but they were SOOOO accommodating and sweet! Zara texts super fast,…read moreanswered questions, adjusted my appointment, etc. I went there based on a friend's recommendation who liked them, and I'm bringing another friend next time I go. I was surprised to see the other review with the burns, they did warn me that can happen if I have lotion or oil on my skin...but I didn't even hurt after my appointment. I was also nervous it would hurt, but my tech was sweet and carefully used an ice balloon to numb me before zapps so it was really not even that painful. I like them and so far and definitely recommend them!

Hello. I am so so so disappointed that I am writing this. I had been a client of Zara's laser hair…read moreremoval for TWO AND A HALF YEARS. I was a junior in college who has been struggling with body hair my whole life. My mother is of Indian decent and my father of Polish; so I have semi-tan skin with extremely dark, black, and thick body hair. I went to Zara's because I heard of the cheap prices for the full body package. I felt like I knew better, but I was a college student short on cash, and I was desperate. I originally paid for a 7 session package. The owner was honest to me, told me I might need a few more sessions after the 7 due to my tan skin but my hair was the prefect candidate and I was promised the treatment would guarantee me a hairless body with some time. I just want to say that the owner and technicians at Zara's had always talked to me with respect and were welcoming and very kind to me. This is why I have decided to give 2 stars instead of 1. It hurts to see reviews talking bad about the owner's character because I had never experienced that. Anyways, to the laser hair removal treatment... I don't even remember how many treatments I had because I have lost count. Maybe I've had about 15 sessions or more. The first couple of treatments went very well. The results were amazing which made me want to keep coming back. But once the 7 sessions were up I still grew hair on my legs and arms. The areas of my where my skin was light (armpits, bikini area, etc.) stopped growing hair which made me believe that this would work in the end. Due to these results, I was encouraged to purchase more sessions once my package was done. So I stayed patient and was told to trust the process and continued going to this place for another year. The comments I read on this page are true. The technicians rushed me through each hour long session. They definitely missed spots and burns. One time I when I was getting my bikini area done and they burnt my actual skin off. It was so horrible I couldn't sit down and was so afraid of infection. Good thing nothing worse came from that. On the other hand, I never should have received a burn from "well trained" technicians. After around my 12th or 13th session, Zara got a new, better, high tech machine. I brought up how unhappy I was with the results she offered the new machine up to me... here's the catch.. I had to pay an extra $40 per session. It's just so sad as I was such a loyal customer and was getting penalized for just wanting the results I was promised. I always would bring up how unhappy I was with my results and they would keep blaming my skin color, telling me to stop tanning. If I'm being real, I avoided going out in the sun for TWO WHOLE YEARS. There was one time in 2015 I went to Brazil and got a tan. I told them about it so my treatment was put off for a few months, nevertheless, years later that was still brought up as the reason the treatment wasn't working. I countered saying that couldn't be the case and was told to go to the doctor's and get tested for an imbalance of hormones because apparently, according to them, I must have too much testosterone... excuse me. I went to the doctors by the way and was told I was just fine. After a year, I was still in college during this time, I asked for a discount due to the lack of results and was told she could not give me one. She then stated the most she could do was take $20 off per treatment. I felt like I deserved better. They told me they cared about my results and well being but in they end all they cared about was the money. The second to last session I went too, I asked if it was normal that I was walking out of a treatment with hair still being present on my body (which had occurred for the entirety of the 2.5 years I had been going). The owner was kind, told me that was unacceptable, and immediately redid my session. For my last session, I entered hopeful that things would change, but after receiving typical treatment (rushed session, missed spots, and hair present) I had lost hope with this establishment. The owner told me that there was no need for me to return, didn't schedule me for another session, and told me that I should be 100% hair free. I finally gave up going earlier this year.. I couldn't keep forking out the money. I had invested a couple thousand dollars. I came to the realization it was never going to work. I now am still living with the body hair issue I once had. Here I am four months later my hair is thinner but areas that had stopped growing hair have hair again (armpits, bikini, upper lip). I feel so taken advantage of.. I'm so upset with the results, now having hair growing in areas that never had hair before like the back of my arms, my cheeks, my whole chin, and all over my neck... it's embarrassing even putting this on google :( Going here was one of the biggest mistakes of my life.

I am sharing my experience with Laser Duet Med Spa in Dearborn, Michigan, because I have serious…read moreconcerns about the transparency of its pricing, financing, documentation, and handling of services that have not been completed. My advice is to RUN; RUN fast and far away. I originally sought Ultherapy treatment. Since my previous med spa provider sold their practices, I thought it would be nice to give my business to an ethnic businesswoman. During the consultation, I was presented with a more extensive treatment package than I came in for. It was described to me as costing approximately $9,700 and including other procedures and promotional services. Laser Duet advertises $$. Their pricing, even package pricing is much higher than in other neighborhoods with considerably higher social economics.. Samar (the owner) gave me a verbal quote by monthly obligation and not services breakdown. I also found this peculiar. When I ran the numbers in my head, I specifically told the Samar the cost was as much a plastic surgery and not what I had intended on spending and that I need 24 hours to consider any large financial commitment. Samar suddenly found a mistake and took my monthly obligation down from $595 monthly to $425. She said that when I purchase two packages, I would receive another one of equal value free. She also told me that it was the last day of the interest free promotion, and that I could not benefit unless I was ready make a decision and that I had to purchase a higher priced package to take advantage of the promotional offer (this turned out to be untrue) she also told me that I could not use the remaining approved amount somewhere else for 6 months and that I would have to reapply. This was also untrue. I was approved for 27,000, a figure I believe Samar was relying on taking advantage of. She did mention that she had to help her son purchase a home and other expenses. I wonder if the approved amount was a trigger for her random cost adjusting?. Furthermore, and another red flag, Samar continued to offer "freebies" in abundance; also verbal. Was she sweetening the pot? From what I have read and experienced personally; I am certain this is Samar's modus operandi. Lots of information shared, none of it in writing, lots of confusion and pressure to act. It was a "shake down". As soon as I got home, I checked with Patient Fi and realized Samar was dishonest. I understood from the consultation that my monthly PatientFi payment would be adjusted from approximately $595 to $425. The financing documents and amounts that followed did not reflect what had been represented to me. I also have questions about the accounting for my $100 deposit. I dispute the accuracy and explanation of the financial figures used in this transaction. I contacted Patient Fi immediately. I also read the reviews on both Yelp and Google. Samar's lack of business ethics was very apparent by others. One of my most serious concerns is the signing process. The owner asked me to sign on a tablet that only revealed a payment option of 298.00; once again, Samar talked through the rest without displaying the completed document or all the terms to which that signature would be attached. Samar said that Patient Fi would be sending me the agreement directly by email so that I could review it. This goes against any business sense I thought I had; but, I guess, I wanted to believer her Additionally, I was presented with a document stating that the business had a no-refund policy. This should have been another red flag. I should have paid attention to my gut. I can in fact dispute the use of that policy to deny recourse for treatments that were not delivered or for financial terms that I believe were misrepresented. A no-refund policy does not necessarily eliminate legal remedies for unperformed services or misrepresentation, the circumstances and contract terms matter. The fact that Samar uses this document is in my opinion is not a sign of good faith. I believe Samar uses this as an intimidation tactic that others providing negative reviews also felt encumbered by. Only the part of the initial Ultherapy treatment was performed. Other substantive services in the package were not provided, and issues concerning anticipated follow-up treatment remain unresolved. This is not a case of simply changing my mind about a purchase. My concerns involve the terms of the transaction and services I have not received. After I challenged the charges, the PatientFi balance was reduced from approximatel
