I was a junior in college who has been struggling with body hair my whole life. My mother is of Indian decent and my father of Polish; so I have semi-tan skin with extremely dark, black, and thick body hair. I went to Zara's because I heard of the cheap prices for the full body package. I felt like I knew better, but I was a college student short on cash, and I was desperate. I originally paid for a 7 session package. The owner was honest to me, told me I might need a few more sessions after the 7 due to my tan skin but my hair was the prefect candidate and I was promised the treatment would guarantee me a hairless body with some time. I just want to say that the owner and technicians at Zara's had always talked to me with respect and were welcoming and very kind to me. This is why I have decided to give 2 stars instead of 1. It hurts to see reviews talking bad about the owner's character because I had never experienced that. Anyways, to the laser hair removal treatment... I don't even remember how many treatments I had because I have lost count. Maybe I've had about 15 sessions or more. The first couple of treatments went very well. The results were amazing which made me want to keep coming back. But once the 7 sessions were up I still grew hair on my legs and arms. The areas of my where my skin was light (armpits, bikini area, etc.) stopped growing hair which made me believe that this would work in the end. Due to these results, I was encouraged to purchase more sessions once my package was done. So I stayed patient and was told to trust the process and continued going to this place for another year. The comments I read on this page are true. The technicians rushed me through each hour long session. They definitely missed spots and burns. One time I when I was getting my bikini area done and they burnt my actual skin off. It was so horrible I couldn't sit down and was so afraid of infection. Good thing nothing worse came from that. On the other hand, I never should have received a burn from "well trained" technicians. After around my 12th or 13th session, Zara got a new, better, high tech machine. I brought up how unhappy I was with the results she offered the new machine up to me... here's the catch.. I had to pay an extra $40 per session. It's just so sad as I was such a loyal customer and was getting penalized for just wanting the results I was promised. I always would bring up how unhappy I was with my results and they would keep blaming my skin color, telling me to stop tanning. If I'm being real, I avoided going out in the sun for TWO WHOLE YEARS. There was one time in 2015 I went to Brazil and got a tan. I told them about it so my treatment was put off for a few months, nevertheless, years later that was still brought up as the reason the treatment wasn't working. I countered saying that couldn't be the case and was told to go to the doctor's and get tested for an imbalance of hormones because apparently, according to them, I must have too much testosterone... excuse me. I went to the doctors by the way and was told I was just fine. After a year, I was still in college during this time, I asked for a discount due to the lack of results and was told she could not give me one. She then stated the most she could do was take $20 off per treatment. I felt like I deserved better. They told me they cared about my results and well being but in they end all they cared about was the money. The second to last session I went too, I asked if it was normal that I was walking out of a treatment with hair still being present on my body (which had occurred for the entirety of the 2.5 years I had been going). The owner was kind, told me that was unacceptable, and immediately redid my session. For my last session, I entered hopeful that things would change, but after receiving typical treatment (rushed session, missed spots, and hair present) I had lost hope with this establishment. The owner told me that there was no need for me to return, didn't schedule me for another session, and told me that I should be 100% hair free. I finally gave up going earlier this year.. I couldn't keep forking out the money. I had invested a couple thousand dollars. I came to the realization it was never going to work. I now am still living with the body hair issue I once had. Here I am four months later my hair is thinner but areas that had stopped growing hair have hair again (armpits, bikini, upper lip). I feel so taken advantage of.. I'm so upset with the results, now having hair growing in areas that never had hair before like the back of my arms, my cheeks, my whole chin, and all over my neck... it's embarrassing even putting this on google :( Going here was one of the biggest mistakes of my life.

I was so excited to have this done from his recommendation. Big mistake. He doesn't know what he's doing. When I came back for my 2 week follow up appointment, I wasn't impressed. He mumbled how it worked really well for his daughter prior to her wedding. I'm not your daughter. I'm 61 years old dude. And yes, I do need a facelift. He wanted me to come back again in a couple of months. I didn't show because I still wasn't happy with the so called, results and thought he probably won't do anything to make me happy. I finally returned and as I thought, he wouldn't do anything to make me a happier patient and he thought he gave me some great special price at $1600. He used 2 vials of Juvaderm which equals $1600 and gave me the blood he withdrew from my arm that he put in a centrifuge to spin and inserted with some of the Juvaderm in it. Big deal. $800 a vial is full Price. What a waste of my money. Money that I don't have to waste. I'm not rich. Look at the wonderful Bags he gave me that I never had before in the picture I posted. They refused to let me see or speak to her, which she would never allow to happen. She was in excruciating pain going home and went into cardiac arrest within 48 hours. No oxygen for 20 minutes. Remained in a vegetative state for 9 years. He never admitted responsibility and he only stopped practicing when he was incarcerated for Medicare fraud. The way him and his wife have the "practice" set up was very legally shady. Many women came forward after my mother's very public illness and said they also fell into comas. My mother was just the only one that didn't wake up. And if he reads this, he knows exactly who I am. Not surprised to read the Groupon related complaints because no one within the Dearborn area would ever give him business. Groupon seems like a good place to source outsider patients.

I was referred to this Spa by a friend of mine. I easily made an appointment, received a confirmation/reminder phone call the day before (which I love) and thought the women on the phone were very professional. When I arrived for my appointment I was pleased with the surroundings, plenty of parking, filtered water and fresh coffee in the waiting room. The women were very welcoming and cheerful. My appointment was only for Laser Hair Removal (great prices!!) but I ended up getting my eyebrows tattooed, as well. The tattooist was very confident and did a perfect job giving my what I asked for, and the price was definitely great. Over all I am highly pleased with my service and treatment at this spa. Biggest advice? Bring cash for your services. I tipped each esthetician 20% because I am a hairdresser and that's my culture. They worked hard for me and I appreciate them for that! read more

terrible. just terrible. I don't understand how they have a right to even own a business with no experience. not professional at all and don't know what they are doing. Mya likes to act as if she's running the place in a well organized manner and this is very hysterical. It is a total joke. they lie a lot and suck the money out of people. unprofessional. the place looks like a trap house on the inside, I'm surprised they have not shut it down. Fatme seems confused all the time and super lost. you can tell many customers come in angry and they get defensive. The sunscreens and toners they sell are literally a joke. Terrible. Would not recommend this place at all. They are a safety hazard and they hurt people. I am surprised they still run a business. Had my first laser hair removal yesterday The treatment is no more painful . If you've had a wax before anywhere on your body, this will feel like nothing to you. It was also very fast - both arms took about 30 minutes. The machine is big, brand new, and has a computer for entering your skin type, hair type, The laser itself is basically like a small flashlight that pulses laser on your skin, and then a tiny spray of ice shoots out right after the laser, which helps cool the skin and reduce the pain even more. It even targets any ingrown hairs you may have from previous waxes. The redness afterwards was less significant than what you would have after a wax, and it went away in a few hours. I'm really excited about not having to wax anymore, and I already have an appointment for a bikini laser treatment. read more

I love Fusion Medical Spa at warren avenue in Dearborn. It's the best spa for laser treatments. I've been here for massages, hair laser and facials. This place is not expensive like others spa and provide same level of professionalism and results. These women know their stuff, and are very professional. I would highly recommend this spa to my friends and family. The atmosphere is warm and relaxing like you'd expect a spa to be. I really like how the ladies give personal attention to your exceptions from treatments. They go above and beyond with customer service. I purchased a Groupon. Called to make appointment. I first spoke to Maya. She told me facial person was out of town and wouldn't be back in time for me to use my Groupon. I asked if they'd extend my Groupon, she told me the owner would call me. Of course no one called me. So I called back. I spoke to Fatime. She told me the same thing and again NO ONE CALLED. So I called a third time. Spoke to maya again. She basically said there's nothing they can do. They won't extend the Groupon even though it's not my fault their facial person is out of town. The only reason theyre getting 2 stars is bc they are friendly. other than that...i have done EIGHT laser hair removal sessions and still have hair growing back. I have spent over 2000 dollars at this place and they keep telling me i gotta keep going in order to get the rest of the hair off. Appointment times dont really matter...they keep you waitin forever. prices are ok but for the amount ive paid i should have almost no hair on my body. She stated this was normal and to use A and D ointment and that she would not be refunding my money. This is NOT normal the wax was obviously too hot and she was moving too fast.
