It helped us to go directly to this surgical center. We didn't need to navigate ourselves through the mammoth hospital parking lot or use their shuttle. Yes, this place has a shuttle service-I know...right? I'm thrilled about it. Where to find the shuttle is easy. Locating your vehicle afterwards is another story. I will say this though, having a key fob helps. Honked our way to our car just fine & dandy. Figuring out which suite upon entering the building was a challenge. Me being me, I tend to appreciate signage. I'm a bit goofy like that so...as we ended up in the wrong medical office. A kind employee was able to advise us that our path was merely across the hall. So off we went. No skipping was involved, you'll know why later ;). There comes a time where a person has to get certain things done. It so happens to be mine now. It's not an appointment that you'll wanna do but a necessity for early detection of stuff. Yes, stuff. This appointment was made way back when in December via a phone call. Paperwork followed a week before the upcoming appointment. The instructions on said paperwork wasn't as reader friendly as my preferred method but now I do know. Wonder if someone could develop an automatic text msg 24 hrs beforehand to the patient like a hey dork, don't do this...but DO this...bc if ya don't do this right, you're gonna see us again...mb ending with xoxo?!? Might be a thing someday. Life is so fast these days, who knows mb it's out there & not in practice?!? I just hope my life lesson helps you in yours. Let's just say...please for the love of all good things, please please please read the love letter your physician-medical team sends you more than twice. Have a friend proof if you are concerned or confused. It will help a bunch on the day of in a ginormous way. Hopefully you won't make the same mistake I made. I'll leave it at that when you realize what type of specialist I'm referring to in this situation :). Dr. Toby Reidy, DO, FACS, FASCRS is a gem & delightful doctor. She stopped by prior to the procedure to introduce herself & explain what was about to occur. She didn't used medical jargon. As we asked questions she met them with sound responses. Love love love how her kindness integrated into an easiness that resonated prior to my procedure. Not once was I freaked out or wanting to instantly bolt my way back home. Was it the anesthesia? Perhaps. Even when I explained that her homework as completed was done in a cliff note version (totally my goof) may not be optimal. I did call her office before my appointment & apologized to her profusely IRL. She kindly explained she'd do the best she could given that most of what was needed from my end was completed. Whew! That was a big load off. Hadn't thought a driver was warranted initially. I'm glad I had one as a precaution. Seems that anesthesia leaves patients groggy. Even though afterwards I felt as if I was ready to tackle the world again, I did find myself repeating questions to my own answers for why IDK, arrived home & fell asleep. That's definitely was from the anesthesia. Doctors actually do know what's up, eh?!? This one certainly did! Grateful for the care & compassion from this facility. Even received a HRU phone call the next day from a real person. Would've taken more pictures. Unfortunately, when you're sitting in a waiting room all ready to begin this showdown, Kodak moments don't really seem appropriate. All I got was the lobby. Hope this helps those that need this done & has unnecessarily put off the inevitable. TBH, get it done STAT. One less thing to freak yourself out with in your daily routine. During check‑in, I informed the receptionist that I urgently needed an inhaler and was currently between insurance coverage due to premium costs. I was told I would need to pay $175 to be seen. As a social work provider, I found it deeply concerning that a situation involving breathing difficulties did not prompt greater urgency or flexibility from the staff. Instead, I went to Ascension St. Vincent Emergency, where I received excellent care. I will not be returning to this location or any of their affiliated clinics.

The event was very informative. They showcased a lot of services they offer, shared special promotions, and even gave out lots of freebies. For the event, a swag bag was given at admission that included a shaker cup, vitamin C serum, and lots of supplements for health, which was a fun touch. One of the highlights was getting to learn more about my skin through their LED technology. This was quite interesting. The office was packed, they had things set up in the front and all around in the back. It got crowded at times. A gorgeous charcuterie board, fruit-infused water, and cake pops were available to guests. This was an insightful event. It was a really good way to attract new clients, and a thoughtful way to offer deals and appreciation to their current ones.

I had 2 videos from 4/17/2026 & 4/21/2026 which really showed both doctors how my eyes were not working together. Care was superb, and the office check in was seamless, with the doctor coming in pretty quick. Some of the exams were the same or similar to a regular eye exam, but there were a lot more that clearly defined my eye muscle issues. I will need to see a Neurological Surgeon to hopefully correct my vision to stop or greatly alleviate my double vision concerns. Highly recommended doctor

Someone (a nurse?) got all my basic health info and then I was seen by a physician assistant. While the receptionist and nurse seemed bored, the PA was super friendly. She cleaned me up and got me a prescription in no time. This location is newly built, nice and clean, and the PA told me they are generally never backed up, so it will definitely be my go to (hopefully I won't be back though!). After insurance my visit was about $90.

After having visited a different urgent care type setting a week earlier, I wasn't particularly…read morethrilled when my primary care physician wasn't available for a timely appointment and instead referred me to this setting, Franciscan Express Care. However, given my growing concern over some dehydration issues and an ongoing issue with my leg, I opted to go ahead and give Franciscan Express Care a chance. Located in the CityWay area of near downtown Indy, Franciscan Express Care is located across the street from my primary care physician but is situated somewhat better in that it has free parking and a pretty easily accessible building. The parking lot is smaller than expected, though it's fairly workable and does have accessible parking spots (though there's a slight grade to them). This same building offers urgent care, wellness programs, sports physicals, drug testing, occupational health, lab, and x-ray services. It's open from 7 am-11 pm daily, a definite plus in the world of urgent care. Because I am an active primary care patient of Franciscan, my registration process was fairly simple. I registered within a few minutes - the staff was friendly, though they were on the phone with a supervisor upon my arrival. They did apologize when they got off the phone. There was an electronic board that essentially told you where you were at in terms of waiting (without violating HIPAA). That was helpful and decreased the "I'm waiting" anxiety. Truthfully, the wait was rather short and I was taken back to do the usual pre-check followed by a visit with the physician's assistant. I believe here name was Sarah Thill, though I may be wrong. Regardless, she was incredibly compassionate, a great listener, asked good questions and expressed concerns that perhaps I should consider going to the ER. She opted to offer me an antibiotic with the recommendation that if I wasn't showing signs of improvement soon that I should go ahead and go to the ER for further evaluation. I was incredibly happy with her presence and the thoroughness of her evaluation that definitely went beyond the usual urgent care exam. I was easily in and out within an hour and my prescription was ready for me by the time I arrived at my pharmacy closer to my home. As things would pan out, a few days later I did end up being seen in the ER and admitted to the hospital for several days. So, essentially, the urgent care here really did their job and made a solid recommendation that ended up being 100% correct. I found the setting to be comfortable and the exam rooms to be more wheelchair-friendly than most urgent care settings I've been to in the past. While one never quite knows what to expect from urgent care given the different clinicians one may experience, my visit here was definitely positive and I would easily return should the need arise in the future. While I still prefer my primary care physician, this is a great alternative. As a matter of note, while I wasn't required to pay upfront because of my insurance my final bill ended up being just over $90 - a good 10-15% lower than most IU Health urgent care settings.
