Tried to make an appointment with a lady over the phone and she told me that if I want any sort of gynecology testing done, I'd have to go to primary care... which makes no sense. I told them the website says there are available gynecologists that are "accepting new patients." She then told me I STILL can't make an appointment unless I've had an annual with them (I haven't). I then told her the testing is sorta urgent, and she told me to go to urgent care then. Jeez. I have been going to this office for several years and have always found them helpful and easy to work with. I go here for primary care and OB/GYN services in the same building. The St. Vincent online portal is easy to use and there is plenty of parking. The office is located in downtown Broad Ripple. Dr. Sood and everyone else I have interacted with there have always been kind, helpful and understanding, no matter if I have a health concern to discuss or need to reschedule an appointment. I get pretty anxious about doctor's appointments and very queasy/lightheaded with blood work, etc. and the techs have been so patient and nice and helped make me as comfortable and distracted as possible which makes a huge difference for me. I would recommend this office to anyone, and even though I haven't lived in Broad Ripple for a few years, I have continued to use them! read more

This was my first time visiting this particular location, it's kind of tricky to find if you don't pay attention!Its location being in the heart of Broad Ripple made it easy for me to plan my lunch around my appointment.Ha.Parking isn't bad, I guess depending on your time of arrival.The waiting room is very spacious, with ample enough seating. Check in is quick & painless if you fill out your paperwork prior to (you're welcome).The receptionist was very friendly as she took my info.My appointment time was 11:20, & I was seen closer to 11:45- which didn't really bother me because I know doctors get super busy! The nurse was very kind & calming...I freak out sometimes.Dr. Hawkins was a breath of fresh air, she greeted me with a smile as I walked down the hall.She also had a calming demeanor, & was very informative.I highly recommend her if you're in search of a fun & straightforward doctor! read more

When you're sick and scared you hope that your doctor's office will be empathetic. You want them to be kind, patient, and treat you with respect and dignity, even though you are nervous, anxious and worried. That isn't the case at the Broad Ripple office of St. Vincent. The office staff and PAs at this location are TERRIBLE. First, when I ordered a refill on my prescription they got it wrong...twice. One time they DOUBLED my dosage. When I called them about this and ask that they change it they claimed that I was wrong and then that the doctor changed my prescription. I know that isn't true because my meds are listed in the online portal correctly. Next, my insurance refused to cover one of my meds. No surprise here since it's name brand. I provided the office staff with the info about why I needed this med since others caused side effects. They didn't use the info and my pre-auth was denied. I know this because the insurance company showed my the request. So, i messaged them about what to do next and they told me I need to fight the insurance co and let them know what is decided. The problem here is that I said I was running out of meds and need to know what to do next and I get nothing back. Frustrated, I called to complain and Barbara Cooley, the staff member who returned my call and I'd the primary INCOMPETENT staff member, doesn't allow me to speak with the doctor. Instead she says it's all my fault and they are just fine. My wife went here too. On several occasions they asked her to wait in a room and forgot about her. Don't take my word alone on how bad the staff is here. Read others' comments. AVOID this place. St. V, if you read this please clean up this office. It's a disgrace. read more

My updated review is for nurse practitioner Evans who I love dearly. So mich so that I drove from Chicago, Illinois for my annual to meet with her. I'd found our she was still in my network. What ain't broke you don't fix. She is very knowledgeable and sensitive to every need. Nurse practitioner Evans is sweet but always ready to provide me with the needed real information to apply to my life! She answers all my emails within 24 hours and I've never had an issue with getting my prescription filled or her answering urgent question. I would highly recommend her for anyone! read more

I've been going to this practice off and on since I was in grade school. Their administrative staff, nurses, and doctors have all be great. Can be a bit of a cluster getting in/out of the parking lot, but otherwise a good practice! read more

I have been seeing a doctor as my PCP at this location since mid 2016. I was in an accident in September 2016 and hospitalized for 2 days after which I was referred to 2 specialists for ongoing treatment. I have spoken to my PCP about this each time I've visited. When my insurance changed in 2017, I was told I had to have a referral from my PCP before seeing the specialists again, even though he didn't refer me to the specialists in the first place. I requested the referrals in Jan, March, and April 2017, but they were never done. Each time I was told they'd be done that day or within 2 weeks. Today after following up again, I was told I have to meet with my PCP to get the referrals! This was never told to me before today. Furthermore, the PAs have failed on numerous occasions to complete something they said they'd do, and one of them lied to me about my care plan. If you call, expect to wait on hold for no less than 15 minutes, if you ever get an answer at all, which you might not. I waited on hold for 45 minutes once only to finally have the call terminated. I intend to visit the office once more to get some test results and hopefully the referrals!... then I will never go to this place again. I would not recommend this location to anyone, unless you hate them and want them to have a truly horrible experience with an utterly incompetent staff. read more

I had a good doctor here but this facility has MAJOR issues with followup or anything requiring another procedure. I recently had a concussion and the doctor ordered a CT Scan that he told me they would schedule. After a week of waiting, I finally get a call from them where they tell me that I would receive another call later that day from pre-registration. When pre-registration calls me, I found out that the appointment is the next day, but can't tell me what time it is or anything else that would be necessary to actually go to the appointment. I'm sure this place is great for standard in checkups, but if you have anything serious happening I'd recommend finding another place. read more

I just want to say that I absolutely love this clinic. Wish I had known about it before. I called in the morning and needed to get in right away. No problem. I got in within an hour or so. I've only been there twice but, each time, I felt like I was being so well taken care of that it truly made my day! I love Dr. Peters and respect and appreciate his knowledge and willingness to listen to me and treat me as an individual. Yesterday I had my blood taken by Beth, the lab technician. I have very small veins and have had many occasions where a technician or, an MD has poked around at least 3 times (or more) just to find entry into my circulatory system. Beth "nailed it" on the first try! (if you'll pardon the expression) I watched in fascination as blood immediately flowed into the container. Flawless! No pain. I was able to see my results within 20 minutes or so. Wonderful! I walked out actually feeling elated. Seriously. I think I would have even if I got a "bad" diagnosis. This is a very good clinic. Very good. Absolutely competent, darling people on staff here. read more

I did a lab work at that location ordered by Dr Himmelstein. However, i have been calling and messaging him to send that result to my insurance so that i got my medication covered, as requested by the insurance. I have not have any response from them for months. And the worse thing is that i cannot even see my lab result on st vincent myhealth portal. That is unethical, illegal and a blatant disregard for patient health and well-being. I will not recommend that doctor to anyone. read more
