Maybe I'm just used to urgent care clinics in NYC being dreadful, but I had a positive experience with everyone in this office. I walked in around 11:30am on a Thursday and waited a max of five minutes after checking in. The lady at the front desk, Hannah, was polite and friendly and the clinic itself is modern and clean. Once I went back, a nurse did my intake for a couple minutes and then another medical provider (I can't remember his name but he was a man) came back for my appointment. After a couple minutes of talking, my concern was addressed and I was on my way. I felt heard and that he cared. I don't currently have insurance so a basic visit is $110 cash. If you need tests, it can get a little bit more expensive, but my particular visit was pretty cut and dry. Really convenient option for a quick healthcare visit in the Greenwood area. I wouldn't hesitate to come back if needed.

The event was very informative. They showcased a lot of services they offer, shared special promotions, and even gave out lots of freebies. For the event, a swag bag was given at admission that included a shaker cup, vitamin C serum, and lots of supplements for health, which was a fun touch. One of the highlights was getting to learn more about my skin through their LED technology. This was quite interesting. The office was packed, they had things set up in the front and all around in the back. It got crowded at times. A gorgeous charcuterie board, fruit-infused water, and cake pops were available to guests. This was an insightful event. It was a really good way to attract new clients, and a thoughtful way to offer deals and appreciation to their current ones.

Staff told me my boyfriend said he would come after getting some sleep, making me feel abandoned during a time I desperately needed him, when he had never actually said that. They also would not allow me to call him myself. When I became distressed, a nurse threatened that the police might take me to jail, and staff told me to calm down because my baby could feel my stress, which felt incredibly inappropriate and guilt-inducing. I eventually became so overwhelmed that I was screaming and hitting myself. They held me down and injected me with Benadryl while I begged them to let me calm down, which only made things worse. The only thing that helped was a police officer sitting with me and talking to me, and leaving the door open when he needed to leave. I asked repeatedly and said all night "I just don't want to be alone." I needed compassion and support, and instead I felt isolated and ignored.

They both are teenagers, so I asked if they could go to their visit by themselves but I was told they had to be 18, this was good to know. I couldn't check them in together because the appointments were at 2 different times with 2 different providers. I was able to check in for the 2nd appointment while checking out from the 1st appointment. Both of the co pays were due up front for the visit. We didn't have to wait long for each boy's appointment which so appreciated. Only one of my boys had to get an X-ray at this visit, and it was fast and easy. We were satisfied with each of the providers we saw. I believe the quality of care here is attentive, thorough, and showcases expertise.

I went to this location to have a strep test. The staff was unprofessional and seemed untrained…read more They needed several adults to understand and administer a basic vitals questionnaire. This location also has a uniquely high contractual rate with insurance companies. It is significantly more expensive than a normal urgent care clinic. After speaking with SMC and my insurance, their contracted rate is 4-5 times higher than a normal urgent care and the rate cannot be negotiated down. Do not go to this location unless you are swimming in cash. Edit: The company wanted to throw a bunch of jargon about how their prices are competitive so I feel the need to help potential customers. On your bill there will be only one line item charged. It's a 45 minute office visit charged at an exorbitant rate for a simple urgent care strep test visit. It's listed as a contracted rate which I confirmed with SMC's billing department and my own insurance company. The rate may be different for each insurance carrier but for my carrier, anthem, which is obviously very common, it was over $200. Having been to urgent care a dozen or so times in the last decade, the final bill for these services was 4-5 times higher than every other in-network urgent care I have been to in that time frame. Save yourself hundreds of dollars and shoddy healthcare and pick any number of name brand competitors in the area.
