The most expensive started at $20K and without changing anything at all came down to $9,500 after I said no for about 30 minutes. That reminds me of another aspect of what I liked about Master Roofing. There was absolutely zero pressure. I was not made to feel if I didn't sign on the bottom line immediately, I'd lose out on special pricing. Master Roofing did not make me sit with them - Some companies required my wife to be there with me for the hours long intimidation sales pitch. Lastly, their employees are not subcontractors who worked very hard did a great job. I've been in general construction most of my life and nothing jumped out to me as being done incorrectly or half-assed. I also sent pictures and questions to my cousin in GA who literally builds entire houses. He said it looks great. I had a great experience with a small, family run business that's been in business for decades and wanted to share my opinion because of it. I don't usually type up reviews due to lack of time, life moving so fast, etc. but I had to share my experience. I highly recommend this company!

I found this company through Yelp. About a day later Ed the owner contacted me and about a day…read morelater he came over and gave us an estimate. The estimate process wasn't only us telling him what we wanted, Ed also gave us recommendations on what to do with the greater space. He recommended the best cost estimate and gave us the best product for our budget. About two weeks prior to we had a new driveway and patio installed from a different company. When Ed's crew started they respected our property in addition to the new work installed. Potomac Masonry's work took about a week to finish (5 days) due rain. After each day the progress was covered to keep the integrity from that day. In closing we were very satisfied with the wall and the brick repair conducted. We would recommend and use this company again in the future.

Ed responded quickly to our request for an estimate for a new back patio. He was one of the only…read morecontractors to actually give us recommendations for some patio ideas. After a somewhat lengthy process trying to get the project approved through our condo association, we had to settle on a non-concrete pad with flagstone and planter box. Although the patio looked nice, the crew did not level some of the flagstone slabs and parts of the patio wobbled. Gravel in between the slabs was not fully put down, and they did not haul away all the old patio materials at first. After emailing them a few times they came out and removed the old materials but never fixed the stone slabs. Definitely a contractor that runs after you give them the final check.

I received a call early the next morning, they came within 30 minutes and surveyed the damage. Without hesitation (it was a Saturday) the workman said he could fix the problem. Pictures were taken before and after which enhanced my home owners filing. Thank you Mark and Miguel for a job well done.

I called Furr Roofing to address a leak in the roof above our kitchen that we noticed after a week…read moreof fairly heavy rain. The damage to the ceiling below was not very substantial, so we suspected a fairly small leak, but one right smack dab in the middle of that portion of the roof. Mark came out a couple of days later, identified, and fixed the issue for a fair rate. The leak was caused by an improperly installed shingle, which had resulted in a nail protruding the surface, which had gone on to rust and allow water leakage below. Mark took a look at the rest of the roof and identified some dormer flashing that looked like it was probably fine, but would be the next likely culprit if we continue to experience the leak. We really appreciate Mark coming out, taking care of the fix so quickly, and offering his assessment and knowledge for us going forward. I highly recommend Furr Roofing in Woodbridge, VA.

I would not recommend this company, based on both past and recent experiences. Over 20 years ago,…read morethey did siding and windows on my parents' house. Years later, the windows were letting in drafts. When my parents tried to file a claim, the manufacturer said the issue was with the installation, and when they went back to the contractor, the contractor blamed the window company. My parents were left to eat the cost. Didn't put two and two together until now. Fast forward to 2021, I had them install gutters on my house. In 2023, I called for a roof quote but never moved forward. In 2026, I tried to call them again, but they wouldn't return my call. Upon inspecting my gutters, I discovered major installation issues: the leaf fitters were shoved underneath my shingles, shingles from a previous roof layer were pushed back and the gutters were installed too high. This poor work has caused my fascia board to rot over time. So glad they haven't returned my call. Stay away and don't be naive like me. Needless to say, I've hired someone else for full roof replacement along with fascia board, soffit and gutters.

Overall it was a horrible experience. My mother is selling her home and was looking for a company…read moreto help get her there. Mike Baker and his company were recommended. Our initial walk through went well, we were excited and thought we selected a company that would get us through...we were wrong. The work started, we were still living in the home During but were assured it was no problem. Our home (inside and outside) was treated as a construction site (trash left throughout our home, cigarette butts outside, paint wash off poured in our front yard (killed grass). On several occasions workers that were sent to our home early in the morning came smelling of Marijuana. Spoke with Mike Baker in reference to the unprofessional workers along with the fact we have children (which he has seen numerous times) that he would send workers under the influence to our home on multiple occasions. Once the work was some what completed we did a walk through to address things that were incomplete or needed to be fixed. There were several things poorly done (looked rushed or sloppy). Somethings were fixed and Mike made excuses about the home being older for others. (At this point we were over it). We were told that things we spoke of at the walk through were not on the proposal. (I take responsibility because I should have ensured that things were written out VERY SPECIFICALLY) The proposal was written in a some what general manner (he did that well and got us there) . Then, the things that could not be completed (hanging bathroom cabinets and light fixtures) he took off $100 but then added over $260 for (2) ball joints fixed on closet doors and kitchen cabinet hardware (2 cabinet doors). I'm not sure if this is his company standard or the fact that we are women as the reason for such a horrible experience. I will NEVER use him again and have already told co-workers not to waste their money. As I am purchasing another home...I will not be using Baker Home Solutions. BE AWARE
