The instructor made me feel very comfortable choosing to do modified moves when the arthritis in my knees forced me to do something else. I love that we were instructed to use blocks and pillows and blankets as needed to aid us with our balance or stretching or to cushion our knees or rear. I've taken about 6 classes so far from beginning yoga to hot yoga, cycle class, Pilates, and gentle yoga. I enjoyed every single class, and even though it's only been about two weeks I'm definitely feeling the difference in my body! I leave every class with a feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction that I completed the class! I've been challenged for sure and I absolutely want to stick to this new way of life! I'm not sure I can afford a membership after my trial runs out, but I'm going to look into it. On the day's we didn't make it to the studio, I did classes on YouTube, but it's just not the same. I love being in the class setting and having the instructor's right there. I'm hoping so much that I'll be able to do it financially. Everyone here is so nice and makes you feel so welcome. The instructor's are also so good at giving you the individual instruction you need, I told them I'm new to this and they really work with you when your a beginner. After discussing classes with a Leraunc, I inquired about the possibility on renting it for a birthday luncheon party. Not only was Leraunc AWESOME in helping me book this venue, he helped with other vendors, going beyond the call of duty and willing to pick-up my rental equipment, rolling up his sleeves to save me money by bringing things up to 2nd floor ballroom, volunteering his help with other items, and to top it off, he is also going to give a 45 minute dance class for the 40 folks coming to the birthday luncheon! HOW ON EARTH CAN IT GET ANY BETTER THAN THAT!!! Leraunc and his team are a true gold mine that I look forward to working with whenever I need to plan a special event while visiting Lancaster. Wish I was around long enough to sign-up for his ongoing dance classes...nothing has blissed me out more than recent Tango classes in NYC. At 60 + taking dance classes is the best thing I've done in 40 years. Looking forward to hearing how my 85 yr old mom does when she starts her dance classes with the caring, helpful, sweet, Leraunc and team.

I hosted my daughter's 5th birthday party at Kinetic Ninja Warrior (KNW) in February 2023, and it…read morewas an absolute blast! The kids had so much fun, and my daughter loved every minute of it. The party was well-organized and truly enjoyable. However, my positive experience took a nosedive when I signed up my daughters, aged 5 and 3.5, for the summer camp for a week in August. While the birthday party was exceptional, my experience with guidance on the summer camp was frustrating and disappointing. I signed up my daughters in February, right after the birthday party, and expected to receive detailed information and instructions in a timely manner prior to camp starting. Unfortunately, despite multiple attempts to contact KNW for guidance, I received no response until just two business days before the camp was scheduled to begin. The lack of communication and delayed responses made it impossible for me to prepare adequately. I was told repeatedly that I would receive an email with the necessary information, but it never arrived until after I requested a refund. To my surprise, once they finally sent the e-mail (two business days before camp started), the information was generic and not specific to the week my kids were attending. I was really confused as to why they couldn't have just sent me that e-mail when I requested it weeks earlier......or the three or four requests after that. Adding to my frustration, I discovered on the website that I needed to complete health forms for my 3.5-year-old and obtain permission from her doctor to participate. This critical information was not brought to my attention earlier, despite my efforts to seek clarification from KNW on multiple occasions and I was out of time to action it. The response from the camp director was disappointing, showing a lack of empathy and accountability for their team's failure to guide me properly. Instead of acknowledging the issue, the director suggested I should have relied on a flyer from the birthday party for summer camp information, which was unreasonable considering the long time gap between the events. She also scolded me for not having common sense to go to the website. Fine, perhaps I missed the obvious fact that the information might be on the website, but I am a working, busy mom of young children. I can be scattered and overwhelmed at times and I rely on good customer service to guide me in the right direction and keep me on track. Not to mention, sometimes I appreciate the convenience of a really good company who still offers a lot of help through a phone call and talking to someone live. In the end, the information on the website was outdated, turns out my 3.5-year-old no longer needed a doctors permission, this demonstrated a lack of attention to detail and keeping their communication up-to-date. As a working mother of two young children new to the summer camp experience, I expected more guidance and support from KNW. Unfortunately, I felt let down and unsupported during this process. It's a shame that the lack of customer service led me to make the difficult decision not to send my kids to a camp they were excited about all summer. My request for a refund was met with a non- apologetic response of "it's fine to not send your kids, we are on a waiting list and I will fill it fast". While KNW may have a long-standing history, their handling of communication and customer support in my particular situation was disappointing, leaving much to be desired. As a result, I am unable to wholeheartedly recommend their summer camp program and I will not be booking anymore birthday parties for my kids.

Due to limited characters - review is in images. My daughter…read morewas enrolled in Forest Hill Dance from Fall 2020 to Spring 2023. We moved to this dance program because it was a program that wasn't running virtually at the time and the cost was great. My daughter had amazing adult instructors and the program fostered my child's love for dance. I am not a dancer. I know nothing about it so when I enroll my child into a program, my expectation is that the school/program knows exactly what they are doing to help my child grow and continue to love dance. During Fall '20 to Spring of '22, My daughter had some amazing adult instructors (if you want names let me know and I can provide them). My daughter enjoyed going, made great friends, and I was satisfied that my daughter was continuing to be taught skills she should know at her level. There was always clear communication from the adult teachers via emails and face to face talks. When recital time was near, videos of their dance performance were provided and music selections were shared so that the students could practice at home. The adult instructors always came out into the lobby and spoke with us and always left the girls with a positive greeting goodbye. Instructions were provided on how hair and makeup should be and communication was usually answered within 48 hours. I personally did not have a problem with the extra recital fees and costume fees as I knew dance could become expensive, but these are things that you may want to inquire about if you are looking to compare costs. During these years, the only real issue I had was that the person who would measure and order costumes would not consider any comment I made asking for one size bigger was always ignored my request as I knew my daughter always had a spring growth spurt. The response to the ill-fitting costumes would be that that's how it's supposed to be. But my daughter having red marks on her shoulders from the costume being too tight is not ok. My daughter's costumes had to be altered by my mother-in-law which is difficult as things to be taken out are far more difficult than to be taken in. All things that could be costly if you need assistance in taking seams out. So again, if this type of growth spurt pertains to you, please continue to speak up and have in writing what you are asking, and fingers crossed you will not be ignored. Throughout these years, I had limited interactions with the chairperson. Honestly, the first time I had any communication was via email with the chairperson was December 2020 to give me a gift certificate my daughter won for Dango ... but it turned out I was not communicating with the chairperson and that it was another member of the dance committee. This just shows how little interaction the chairperson had with me, which is fine. There was no need at the time. The instructors did everything. The first time I identified her was at the first recital Spring 2021 when she introduced herself to the crowd. So, to say that I had more communication with the instructors is fact as there really was no need for me to communicate with the chairperson. Fall 2022-Spring 2023 is when everything changed. During this past year, my daughter was provided instruction from student instructors who were still learning dancers themselves and in high school, one being the chairperson's own teen daughter. This was the year that Forest Hill Dance absolutely destroyed my daughter's self confidence in dance. It really should have been a red flag from the beginning, but I had faith in the program. Boy was I completely wrong. My daughter's classes were every Saturday from 12:30-2:30. During this time she was supposed to have hip hop, tap, jazz, and ballet. During Fall '22, my daughter communicated with me that jazz was not being taught. This was a problem as jazz was a genre my daughter loved. It was concerning that a whole 30 min class of jazz was not being attended to especially when I was paying for it. When it was brought up to the FHRDANCE email, the chairperson's responses were that of, due to behavior issues there isn't enough time, the girls aren't changing their shoes fast enough so it's taking up time, or there is another dancer who isn't taking jazz and we have to wait for her to leave to start. All responses sounded like excuses to me and that of blaming 8-9-year-olds instead of coming up with solutions to mediate the problems. 5 out of 6 parents complained about the lack of jazz and nothing changed. The parents did all we could. We made a complaint, and no change was made. My only thought was the chairperson made no notion to fix the situation and only created excuses because it was her own daughter that was the student instructor of this class. This is the crux of all the issues this past year that I eventually concluded to.
