It is in a great location on York Road in Cockeysville and has plenty of parking. They also have a nice waiting area for parents who want to stay while their children are in class. The studio is deceiving because it looks like a very small space from the outside, but it is actually very big and has four beautiful studios for classes. The teachers here are extremely nice and talented and truly want the best for their students. They also offer adult classes in ballet, tap, and jazz, as well as Zumba fitness. I don't have any children, but I have taken jazz, ballet, and Zumba classes here and I absolutely loved them! If you're looking for a studio in the area, this is definitely one to check out!

If you miss a class, all you have to do is call and schedule a make up before the start time of the missed class. We had my daughter's birthday party there this past weekend and it was the best party she's ever had. The staff let us know that they were available to take of putting up our decorations and setting up for food and cake so that we could enjoy watching the kids on the gym. All of our party guests LOVED the gym activities, we had kids from the age of 2 years up to 13 years and they all had a great time. Our guests included 3 children on the autism spectrum with different particular needs and the staff were immediately responsive to things like one child not wanting everyone to shout her name when it was her turn to play a game and one child needing to be repeatedly reminded to be more gentle with the equipment. My child has unfortunately decided not to continue gymnastics classes, I am going to miss The Little Gym!!

They put on great shows multiple times a year with roles for students of all levels. My background is Balanchine (SAB) and Vaganova, but locally, I've taken classes at Baltimore Ballet and at Peabody. My son is almost 4 and we've been coming to Kids First Swim on and off since he was about 6 months…read moreold. We started with Mommy & Me and now he is in Level 1 group lessons. This location is hit or miss. First, the building itself is just okay at best. We always come in the evenings and since the shopping center also houses a tutoring place, a karate place and one (or two??) dance studios, that time of day it's mobbed. It can be tough to find a parking space and traffic is crazy. Once you're inside, the place is is as clean as it can be, but always is damp and funky. I guess this is to be expected of an indoor pool. Parents have a place to watch the kids in class and chairs are provided. There's a small play area for kids to play in while they wait to go into the pool. Changing rooms are available (but funky/stinky) and there are also locker rooms with a shower. There are changing tables and hair dryers available as well. Some of the staff are great, some are not. We had one mommy & me teacher that we LOVED and one that we couldn't stand so much that I wanted to get my money back. If you know that you cannot make a week before you book your session, they will allow you to prorate it so that you don't have a to pay for a missed week. Sessions go six weeks at a time and you get a "report card" at the end stating if your child is ready to move up to the next level or not. Group classes can be up to 5 kids. The more kids in the class, the harder it is for the teachers to keep up with them, especially at the very young age. Many of the 3 & 4 year olds are afraid of the water and the teacher will spend part of the class trying to get them to just get off of the steps and that wastes a lot of time for kids who are farther along. If you can get a class that only has a few kids in it (no more than 3), you are better off.
